Description: A chance encounter, and fishing tips!

"Oh hey there, N'kevyn!" M'chan greeted cheerily, waving when he spotted the other rider. "Looks like it's going to be a sunny day so far. Meatroll?" He added, holding up the platter.
"Oh, hello." N'kevyn veered over to head for the empty seat at the table. "Yeah, nice weather. I'm hoping to do a little fishing later- they say it's better when it's raining, but I'd rather have the sun."
"Oh, fishing!" M'chan brightened. "I've tried fishing before. Tysileth says there's lots of fish in the ocean when she goes swimming. Sometimes she's even caught a few."
"Your girl likes fishing? Avicath hates it. Of course I've never caught anything big enough for him to eat. He likes things better when there's food involved," N'kevyn joked.
"She _likes_ making big splashes." M'chan laughed. "Any fishes she catches are the things flung into the air when she hits the water." He shook his head, amused. "She can dive deeper than I can, too, so there's a higher chance of her getting something big than me scoring a fish."
"Ah, but that leaves you without dinner. Unless she's willing to share. Nothing like some fresh fish you caught yourself," N'kevyn said.
"Maybe if I have a net next time." M'chan said thoughtfully. "There's plenty of fish in the ocean, after all! Anyone should be able to catch at least something! What do you like to use as bait? I use meatroll bits sometimes. One time I used a piece of raw wherry."
"I found bacon works pretty well, but usually it's just because it's breakfast time when I decide I want to go fishing," N'kevyn said. "There are definitely nets you can check out from the Weyr's stores. Warning, people do tend to get cranky if you don't return them on time." He smirked at the memory of being confronted by Liannor over delinquent fishing gear.
"Oooh bacon!" M'chan brightened. "That's an excellent idea, and that way even if you _don't_ catch anything, you can still cook breakfast." He agreed. "Also, who says bacon only has to be for breakfast? If you precook it you can have some all day really."
"I have been known to steal it from the breakfast trays for a snack in a boring wing meeting later," N'kevyn joked.
"_All_ wing meetings are boring." M'chan responded with a wink and a huff. "But I manage. I'll have to borrow your meeting bacon idea." He added. "It's excellent."
"How is good old Skybroom Wing?" N'kevyn asked curiously, "I transferred around when K'lvin took over; my nerves couldn't handle being in the same wing as N'kayden."
"It _would_ be hard to be in the same wing as family." M'chan agreed. "Skybroom is good though!" He added. "We're keeping fresh on drills, and Tys is as fast as ever." He grinned.
"Yeah," N'kevyn said, "one of us had to go, and I suppose K'lvin must have liked N'kayden or disliked me," he winked at M'chan, clearly joking. "Anyway, we should go fishing some time. I know some good river spots. And I've been trying to teach Citrine to fish." The firelizard had so far wanted nothing to do with the activity. "But I should get going. Aydhan had an errand for me to run."
