Enamra

Enamra loved the little cothold that Zathris had provided to them for
their stay. It was small, snug, and warm and felt cozy, especially
with the roaring fire that presently was toasting her toes. It had
been one of the most wonderful days that Enamra had ever had. She and
Thayde had built a snowman right outside, though her attempt at
building a snowdragon had fallen apart after she tried making stick
wings. But it had been fun. They'd gotten in a snowball fight and then
taken a walk in the snow, her husband stealing the occasional kisses.
It had been perfect.

She wiggled her bottom on the thickly furred rug and enjoyed the
pajamas that Thayde had reminded her to pack. She'd never have worn
them at the Hall, they were too warm for the nights there, but here,
they were perfect, especially after a nice, heated bath. A contented
smile stretched her face as she wiggled her toes in front of the fire,
then looked up as Thayde approached, carrying two steaming glasses.
She sniffed at the scent of spices and wine. "What's that?"

"Spiced wine," he said with a lift of his eyebrows as he walked
carefully, so as not to spill any of the hot liquid. Gingernly
sitting, he handed one of the glasses to his wife. "I've had this
recipe once before when I came here. I think you'll like it."

Thayde could not get over how beautiful his wife looked in the
firelight. Perhaps it was the carefree nature of their stay in Amber
Hills, but there was a happiness in her eyes that he had not seen in a
while.

Enamra took the glass and gave a cautious sip. She'd not had any since
the last experience with wine and the ladies of the hall. The heated
drink filled her mouth with delicious flavor and warmed its way down.
"Hmm...That's really good. " She took another sip. "Really really
good." She sighed, a smile still on her face. "It's just kind of
perfect right now. " She pushed her still damp hair away from her
face, letting it trail loosely down her back. "Today's been so
perfect, Thayde."

"It has," he agreed, looking at her warmly. "I was thinking we could
finish off the perfect day with a game." From his pocket he produced a
deck of cards. "Dragonpoker.... Strip dragonpoker," he winked.

Enamra blinked and sipped her wine, but looked confused. She knew what
dragonpoker was; she'd seen some of the men of the hall playing it.
"What's that? I've never played that game. I mean, is it like what
they play in the dining area of the Hall? The suits and faces and
stuff?"

"Pretty much, except," he held up a finger, "whomever loses the hand
has to take off an article of clothing. We'll keep playing hands until
one of us lacks the clothes to continue."

Her eyesbrows widened and she coughed at the drink she'd just taken.
"We take our clothes off if we lose? But...I've never played." She
pointed a finger at him playfully as she saw the almost greedy
expression on his face. "You just want to see me naked." She giggled
then, and drained her cup. "Okay, but not the first hand. So I can
learn how to play."

"Agreed. We'll do a couple of hands just so you can learn." Thayde
took a healthy sip from his spiced wine before shuffling the cards
expertly between his dexterous fingers.

After a few dummy rounds, with plenty of giggles and a refill of their
spiced wine, they were finally ready to play the first round of cards.
Thayde peered at the cards in his hand to see what he wanted to lay
down and how many cards he would need to draw. Honestly, it was all a
win-win situation in Thayde's mind. The less clothes he had on, the
more likely he was to have sex with his wife, and the less clothes she
had on, the more likely he was to have sex with his wife.

Enamra already felt a little light headed from two glasses of the
spiced wine. As she sipped at the third, she looked over her cards at
Thayde, then back down. Sticking out the tip of her tongue, she tried
to make a decision. Carefully, she picked three and laid them face
down. "I want three. That's the most you can ask for right?"

"That's right," Thayde said as he finished off his third glass. He
squinted at his cards to keep the numbers from dancing off. He laid
down two cards, drew two, and watched as his wife drew hers as well.
**This may be the worst hand of dragonpoker I've ever held,** he
thought with a little touch of alcohol-induced glee.

Enamra narrowed her eyes and looked up at him slowly arranging her
cards. She studied them, looked up at Thayde, then back down. "Uh..."
She began giggling, then snorted a bit as she put down her cards. "I
got nothin. They're not even all the same color or matches." She felt
her ears warm as she sipped at her glass, loving the feeling of the
heat.

Thayde laughed, which sounded much more like a boyish giggle than his
typical chuckle, and laid down his cards. "I win with a pair!" He
couldn't believe it, because winning with a pair was about as low of a
winning hand as possible.

"That means I take off something right?" Giggling, she rose, then
paused, looking down at Thayde. With a giggle, she gripped the bottom
of her pajama top, slowly lifted it, stopped to look at him, then
lifted it higher. With a flourish, she then whipped it off over her
head with a whoop and tossed it aside. Underneath was the lacy bodice
that she'd planned on revealing later on that evening. The lace didn't
hide much, but simply skimmed over her curves to accent them. "There
goes my surprise!" She stumbled a little before plopping back down and
going for the wine. "I'll win next time, just you wait!"

**Damn.** The sight of Enamra in the lacy top sobered Thayde just a
bit. It was getting increasingly more difficult to concentrate on
shuffling cards, but that was the entire point of strip dragonpoker.
Anticipation was everything.

"Cheers to lace," he said, raising his glass for a toast after dealing
both hands.

"You're silly when you're drinking." Enamra chirped, not feeling
self-conscious in the slightest. She hummed as she sipped and bounced
just a little as she studied her cards. She frowned and tilted her
head, then looked up at Thayde, fluttering her lashes. "I bet you your
pants that all you're thinking about is getting mine off."

Thayde's emotions showed much more clearly on his face when he was
intoxicated. "Oh, I'm thinking about getting them off, and much more
than that." **Thinking about getting other things off too...** he
thought to himself with a smile before taking another sip of the wine.
At this point he wasn't even sure if the wine was spiced anymore.

"More?" Enamra's delighted and drunken giggle nearly caused her to
snort up the rest of her wine. "Need any cards?" She watched him as he
was trying to choose. "Well, I'm thinking about doing to you what you
do to me. With my mouth. I want to try it." Her grin was goofy as her
inhibitions were completely demolished and cast aside. "It's your
turn, Thayde."

Doing what he did, with her mouth? Thayde accidently dropped the cards
in his hands and scrambled to pick them back up. What was he doing
again? How many cards did he need? "Um, one card," he managed to say,
tossing one face down in the discard pile before drawing another.

She laid down her cards, two of them and picked up another two. "OH,
shaffit. Looks like I don't have anything again." Enamra pouted. "All
the same color is bad, right?"

Thayde's jaw dropped open. "No, that's good!" A wicked grin curved
across his face as he tossed his losing hand down. "Well? Which should
go? Shirt or pants?"

Enamra's grin took on a decidedly devilish look as he tossed his cards
down. She slowly turned her hand, showing a hand that was absolute
rubbish. "HA!" She wiggled with triumph, looked over at him and
pointed at his shirt. "Off!"

The Hallmaster grabbed the bottom of his shirt, pulling it over his
head, causing the muscles in his chest and abdomen to flex in the
firelight. "Now it's getting interesting," he said, his voice losing
some of the gigglyness from earlier, replaced instead by a husky tone
of desire.

Enamra's eyes followed the movement of his shirt and then the play of
muscles, a low heat growing in them. She did love Thayde's body and
the other women had been right about how it looked. Lean and toned,
but she'd had the pleasure of touching the smooth skin and feeling it
under her fingers as it moved. She bit her lower lip as he watched,
then thrust the cards at him quickly. "Deal." Under the lace of her
top, it was clear that her body was responding to his with every
breath she took.

Thayde didn't speak, his eyes remained on focused on Enamra without
wavering as he shuffled and dealt. He was beginning to regret
suggesting dragonpoker, he should have picked a shorter game... like
high-card, low-card.

Enamra finished off her glass, feeling both light-headed and heavy at
the same time. With a flushed face, she picked up her cards, then met
Thayde's eyes over them with a slow smile. He wanted her and it was
obvious; she felt an absolute thrill of power flush through her at the
sight. _She_ made him feel that way. There was a bubbly sense of glee
at the realization that settled in her chest, that feeling of
seductive power was not only enticing, but addictive. She _liked_ it.
"I want two cards."

"You'll have to kiss me for them," he said, holding the deck in his hand.

Her lips curled up and she leaned over, brushing his lips with hers.
Once, then again, but with the last press of her lips against his,
she trailed her hand down his chest. Naughty fingers tickled lightly
at the noticeable, covered bulge below his waist before she pulled
away. With a grin, she fluttered her lashes. "Can I have my cards
now?"

"Forget the cards," he growled, tossing them aside as he kissed Enamra
again, this one more passionate and hungry than before.

~*~ Fade to Black ~*~

Enamra felt herself tugged down onto the furs, but her entire body
felt limp. There was some aching between her thighs, but it was a
delicious, full sensation that didn't hurt as much as felt decidedly a
bit smug. She didn't know how it made sense, but it did at that
moment. Panting softly, she didn't even attempt to move, but just
tried to catch her breath. "Wine....is....good..."

A dreamy little smile crossed Thayde's face. "Wine is _very_ good."
