T'lin

T'lin

The latest class of weyrlings had just graduated to senior, and
several of them were making the most of it. T'lin spotted a couple in
the hallway who were struggling to make it to their door, lips and
hands all over each other. The bluerider smiled to himself as he
remembered how he and V'rel had celebrated that night.

~*~flashback to M6 D14~*~

The party was in full swing and T'lin had quite a buzz after only two
drinks. It was his first time having alcohol since Impressing, so he
must have been out of practice. "Shards, I think the whole class
turned up."

"I don't know how so many people are fitting in here," V'rel said. He
was on his first glass still, but he needed a second soon, his throat
was dry. "I'd think you'd need a queenrider's weyr for this but here
we are not harassing Dessa."

"I don't think R'fal expected this many people."

"I wouldn't have either. Aren't you glad you aren't hosting it?"

"Definitely." T'lin moved a little closer. "It means we can slip away
whenever we want." He wanted to spend time celebrating with his
classmates. He _did_. But T'lin also couldn't stop thinking about the
weyrling ban finally being lifted. Months without sex, without even
kissing!

"Are you thinking now?" V'rel murmured, smiling at his friend. "It is
awful crowded in here and a little hot. We could go somewhere else to
cool down, for a bit at least."

T'lin leaned toward his friend until his lips brushed V'rel's ear.
"Your weyr or mine?" It was such a thrill to be able to say that!

"I'd like to go back to mine," V'rel replied, thinking that he really
wanted the idea of having T'lin over in his space.

T'lin set his nearly empty cup down on the nearest flat surface and
took V'rel's hand. The only think stopping him from kissing V'rel
right there and then was a desire to give it his full attention.
"Sounds great."

V'rel finished his own and took the hand in both of his. "I can't
believe it, that we have our own weyrs," he mentioned.

"Privacy any time we want it." Well, any time outside of duties, of
course. "Come on." They headed out, nodding to a few friends on the
way. One greenrider gave them a very knowing smile.

"Mhm," V'rel agreed. He was happy to keep T'lin's hand in his as they
walked along the corridors towards V'rel's weyr, which was closer. "So
when we can travel on our own on restdays, what do you want to do
first?"

"Visit my family," T'lin said without hesitation. "I'd like you to
come too." He'd lived at the Weyr for turns, but T'lin still had a
close relationship with his family, calling on dragonrider friends or
paying for transport to visit when he could. Being able to visit them
on his own dragon whenever he had free time would be wonderful. "Maybe
we could ask for special permission to go early." The Weyrlingmaster
might allow them to go with a more experienced pair to supervise.

"I'd like to go!" V'rel said, enthusiastically. "It would be good to
show them how large our dragons are getting."

"Let's ask tomorrow and see how soon they'll let us go." T'lin turned
down the corridor to V'rel's weyr.

"The 'staff like us, we're good and haven't been any problems. It
shouldn't take too long," he said, optimistically.

He squeezed T'lin's hand the whole way to his weyr, then stopped long
enough to open it up and invite him in. It was better decorated than
the sparseness it was when he'd moved in. It only had the standard
furniture allotment, but thanks to his family, he had a rug to take
the chill of the stone floor and two tapestries hanging to brighten
the walls.

T'lin closed the door behind them and gave V'rel a long look, a slow
smile spreading across his face. "I've been waiting so long for this."
He stepped close and cupped V'rel's face, then pressed their lips
together. The kiss started slow and tender, T'lin wanting to express
that this was more than months of pent-up lust.

The touch of lips was soft and gentle and V'rel sucked one of T'lin's
lips into his own, nipped gently along it. It had been awhile since
they'd kissed, and V'rel wanted to savor every moment of it. He closed
his eyes when the kiss started, an instinctive response to the
physical sensation. It was a struggle to re-open them. But he had to.
He wanted to look at T'lin. To see his friend like this, try to catch
his eyes, or at least get a look at his face. He wanted to sear all of
this into his memory, forever.

T'lin still had his eyes closed, lost in sensation. He sighed against
V'rel's mouth, strung between relief and wanting more. Wanting
everything. Part of him had been afraid that V'rel wouldn't want this
again, that he'd grow tired of T'lin or get too overwhelmed and back
off. But here he was, his precious Tir in his arms, their kiss growing
deeper with every passing moment.

Going slow might have been a good idea at first, and V'rel was trying
to stick with that. Were they really that different today than they'd
been last sevenday? If Rymeth maybe hadn't been ready for him to kiss
T'lin then, would he be ready now? So V'rel kept his link to Rymeth
wide open as he nipped along T'lin's lip. But soon the familiar
feeling of arousal began to wash over him, he felt himself stiffening,
and the kiss deepened by instinct. His tongue darted out to slide
between T'lin's lips, probing, and he groaned into the other man's
mouth.

T'lin pulled him closer, pressing their bodies together and made a low
sound of desire as he discovered the state of V'rel's body. He pulled
back only to move to V'rel's neck, pressing soft kisses to his warm
skin. "I don't know if I want to savor this or if I can't wait to have
you." Calaroth's presence in his mind was curious, eager to share
these feelings with his rider.

"Shards, it's been _months_," V'rel said. "Can't we savor it later?
When we'll have more time? Right now I just miss this...I want this."

T'lin took his mouth in a deep kiss. "Then take me to bed and tell me
how you want me." T'lin's body almost trembled with need, his hands
aching to be sliding over V'rel's naked skin.

V'rel eventually broke the kiss and stepped back towards the bed. His
knees hit the back of it. He tugged his pants down, frantic now, not
bothering to remove the tunic, then flopped backwards. His hand caught
at T'lin's and he tugged, encouraging T'lin come down
to the bed. "You on top of me. Like this. Please," he panted.

The fire in T'lin's eyes grew even brighter. V'rel could ask him for
anything, and he would gladly give it. He tugged at his belt, hastily
removing his pants. As V'rel had said, they'd have more time later.
Still, he took a moment to simply lay on top of V'rel, reveling in the
feeling of the other man's body beneath him as they kissed hungrily.

Later, after they'd wrung themselves out in total satisfaction, V'rel
curled up against T'lin, resting his head against his friend's chest
and listening to his heartbeat.

"This is the best senior celebration ever."
