This is what you want?

Reintroduction of Z'hren. Mentor Approved

"So, is this what you really want?" Z'hren asked his sister as he
rubbed the oil into Garreth's dark brown shoulder. The low rumble of
contentment echoed through the weyr.

That was the question she'd been wrestling with ever since getting the
okay from the healer to Stand. Ernola was still shocked that this was
all happening so quickly. She saw today how the Weyr dealt with
Threadfall and she was exhausted with the work she'd put in to help.
Now, as she and her brother helped Garreth relax, she could think
objectively about her options.

"Yes, I think so. I'm meeting with K'sedel tomorrow. What's he like?"

"Tough, but fair as long as you do as he says when he says it," he
answered with a wry grin. Luckily, he'd never gotten on the man's bad
side but he'd seen others who had. Z'hren knew that Ernola could be a
handful so privately wondered how quickly she'd be given punishment
duties.

}: That is not a nice thing to think :{ the brown commented with a
soft snort which ruffled Ernola's hair as she was currently oiling his
snout.

"What was that for, Garreth? Did I rub too hard?"

"Nothing …"
}: Mine is imagining your punishments :{ Z'hren and Garreth said at
the same time.

It always amazed her that the brown honored her with his thoughts
since there weren't many dragons who do. Ernola glared at Z'hren for
all of two heartbeats before laughing. "I can well imagine. You think
I'll really have that hard of a time?"

"Hard, no. But I know your penchant for mischief and if you get a
green, which I suspect you will, you'll both have a difficult time
doing things as they should be done." Z'hren remembered how curious
Garreth was when he was younger but he wasn't as distracted as his
clutch-sisters at the time.

Biting her lip, Ernola returned to oiling Garreth but not as
vigorously, her mind on other things. Note appeared with a chirp and
settled on the large brown's head, eagerly scratching between the
headknobs and down his vertebra. Garreth rumbled again in contentment
and closed his eyes.

"Can I keep Note here with you if I Impress? I'm not sure how a newly
hatched dragonette will react and I certainly don't want anything
terrible to happen to either of them."

"Of course. Each dragonette is different. I've seen some lunge at
flits while others invite them to cuddle. I'm sure K'sedel will have
better advice," he said with a shrug and a yawn. Fall had him wiped
out and as he finished up with the oiling, he knew he was about to
collapse. "You're welcome to stay out here with him for a while. I'm
going to clean up then crash."

"Yes, please do … you stink. I'll stay for a bit then slip out when
you're sleeping," Ernola answered with a wrinkled nose and a smile.
"Thanks for listening."

"Of course. You're my sister and I love you. Good luck with K'sedel!"
he said with a chuckle, sweaty tunic stripped as he headed to the
bath.

Ernola shook her head and stared out at the horizon as the day ended.
She was feeling better about her decision but was still a bit nervous,
a very strange concept to her. Losing track of time, she realized how
quiet the inner weyr became so tiptoed inside to see Z'hren sound
asleep. Sliding a lock of hair off his forehead, she smiled softly
then left him to his dreams.
