"No I will _not_ wait," Ciara practically spat at the young healer who
got in her way. She pulled angrily at the fingers of her riding gloves
and jerked her flying helmet from her hair which immediately sprang
into a disorganized orange mess around her face.

"I want to see him _now_," she poked him in the chest with a very angry
finger.

"Ciara!" The call to his weyrmate wasn't as strong as it would be normally.
The Weyrleader felt dizzy still, some of it had to be from the fellis and
the medication he'd been given, some from the pain he felt. He remembered
the young greenrider who had got into trouble and had been spiraling down
through the sky. Nikornath had reacted through instinct, stretching a wing,
even as he reached out to help steady the pair as Nikornath led them both to
safety.

There had been a wrenching feeling, and then pain, but whether it was his
pain, or the bronze dragon sharing his feelings he wasn't sure.

She tried to brush the young man aside but he got in her way again.
"That's me he's calling for. Now _move._" She practically shoved him.

"Kes," she called as she pelted down the hallway.

"I'm okay," K'sedel managed as his red haired weyrmate barreled in. When
she was like this, she was almost more single minded than thread.

She reached for him and her eyes tried to be everywhere at once.
"You're _not_ okay," she said. Her eyes began to tear. She'd held
herself under such iron control that just seeing him awake and not
damaged beyond recognition threatened to make her loose it as relief
flooded over her.

"I will be." He said, slowly. "My shoulder hurts though."

"So does Nikornath's," she said softly and sat down on the chair next
to his bed. "But he'll be alright. Y'gel is with him now," she
couldn't keep the tiny bit of sob out of her voice and tried to cough
to cover it. Usually calm in a crisis she couldn't believe she was
reacting this way. "Where's Jadirah? I need to know how bad this is."
Bluster might make her feel less out of control.

Jadirah scrubbed up with redwort before she entered the small room,
hoping that her next patient wouldn't be nearly as bad off as the
brownrider she'd just treated. Seeing it was the Weyrleader himself in
the bed, with his weyrmate next to him, she shifted her expression to a gentler, more concerned one.

"Weyrleader K'sedel. How are you feeling?" she asked as she stepped to
the side of the bed to take a look. She gave Ciara a little smile, too,
knowing how worried she must be.

"Drowsy, my shoulder hurts, but better for seeing Ciara." It wasn't much,
but the medication he'd been given to initially put his shoulder back was
slowly wearing off.

Jadirah began feeling his shoulder. "What happened to cause the injury?
Dislocations can happen after a fall, or catching something badly." That
could happen during falls, she knew.

"Nikornath, he caught a green."

"Are the dragonhealers treating him?" She knew referred pain could be a
problem for judging dragonrider pain.

It looked like the Healer who'd treated him first had gotten the
shoulder back in place successfully. There was going to be swelling and
pain, but that they could treat with medication and compresses.

There could still be other injuries. "How's the head?" she asked.

"Y'gel," he looked to Ciara for confirmation, "he's with Nikornath." He
tried to raise his uninjured arm, "My head hearts, I think I took a whack up
there."

Ciara bit her tongue since he was getting treatment and seemed lucid.
"Yes," she confirmed the two questions. "Y'gel is with Nikornath. They
caught the green a little sideways and it messed with his wing. She
could see it all in her minds eye from where the queen's wing flew
below and behind the other fighting wings.

"Do you remember feeling dizzy?" Jadirah said. She checked his eyes and
pupils. "They're dilated. You might have a concussion from impact."

"I feel dizzy now."

"They gave you something fro the shoulder, and that will make you
feel better. You'll need rest, but not to sleep too deeply - we need
to make sure you still know who or where you are, just in case your
head was too banged around. If you fall asleep and don't wake up it
could be disastrous for you and Nikornath both. Once the danger
period's passed, I suggest sleep and resting to recover."

She turned to Ciara. "Normally we come in and wake up the patient. if
you'd like to stay and do that, I can come check in in a candlemark,
and you can call me if anything changes. I promise I'll be accessible, we
won't take chances."

"I can do that," she said in a confident voice. Of course her tone was
far more confident than she really felt but now wasn't the time to
give way to the feelings that threatened to overwhelm her.

"Stay," managed K'sedel.

"I'm not going anywhere," she said firmly and moved to his good side
to take his hand. "I'll be right here for as long as it takes."
