Writers: Jelena, Paula

Characters: Puwul, Rayan
Description: Rayan wants to keep the wine flowing.
Location: Vintner Hall
Date: month 9, day 19 of Turn 7

Rayan watched the party laughing and toasting in the Tavern with a faint smile on his face. Even though the party was in his honor, he couldn't indulge himself in drinking. He would need a clear head in the morning, on his first day on the job. A Hallmaster now. Who would've thought?

Moving up to the bar, waved to get Puwul's attention. Even though he might not be drinking a lot, that didn't mean his guests weren't.

Puwul nodded to acknowledge the gesture and continued pouring beer to tankards. As soon as he was free, the tavern master moved over to Rayan. "Anything I can do for you, Hallmaster?" He asked with amiable grin.

"Can I get another wineskin for my guests?" he said with a grin, gesturing at the party behind them.

"Of course, which variety?" Puwul replied with friendly smile.

"More of the same, please," Rayan smiled. "How's business been of late, anyway?"

Puwul nodded and fetched the wineskin for him. "It's been good. Bit slower due the snowy season but still enough to wrap in handy profits," Puwul replied.

"Good to hear," Rayan nodded seriously. "How are your stocks? Any unexpected trends lately?"

"We're good. You keep us stocked and we turn in the profit," Puwul replied. "Heated, spiced wine's been popular lately," he continued. "No doubt because of the weather."

"Hmm yes, a rather predictable trend, luckily," Rayan grinned. "We've got plenty in storage, should you run out sooner than expected, just give me a heads up."

"Of course," Puwul replied. "I never sell we-don't-have-it for customers," he was rather proud of the fact.

"And that is your strength," Rayan smiled. He was happy to contribute too, knowing it was mostly the Hall's dedicated workforce that made it all possible.

"That and the widest selection of drinks in any tavern in whole Southern Pern. I we don't have it here, I can always send a boy to fetch it from Hall's stores," Puwul was proud of the Tavern.

"They make a good team, Puwel, the Hall and the Tavern. I hope it will continue to be like that during all my time as Hallmaster," Rayan smiled sincerely. After looking back at his guests, he grinned wider and took the wineskin from the Tavern Master. "I should get back to my party. I'll be back to talk business at another time."
