D'hol

Jeyme gasped as she bolted upright in the bed, a cold sweat had come
over her body and as soon as her eyes opened she bolted into action.
Scrambling from the bed she jerked the trash bin to her and crashed to
her knees on the floor as she threw up. The involuntary heaving
crushed her ribs as she held on to the trash bin with one hand and
tried to keep her short hair pulled away from her mouth with the
other.

**Ugh, not morning sickness.** She had been hoping that she was going
to be one of those lucky pregnant women that never really experience
morning sickness. **Guess again.**

At the sudden movement from the bed and the jostling, D'hol bolted
awake, sitting straight up and glancing around. "Jeyme?" He heard the
sound of retching and the rather grotesque sound of what followed,
swung his legs over the bed and padded around to her side to check on
her. He grimaced at the sight, but knelt and held her hair back from
her face. Trying to soothe, he began rubbing her back in small
circles.

"Oh, don't... don't look." Jeyme tried to wave him off. She had never
been sick in front of D'hol before, not even a sniffle, and now to be
on her knees vomiting in front of him? It was too embarrassing to
endure.

"Too late." D'hol's voice was a sleepy murmur. "It's okay, Jeyme. " He
continued rubbing her back in slow circles. "Do you want some water?"

Jeyme nodded, not trusting herself to answer as another wave of
vomiting hit her, sending her focus back to the trash bin between her
hands. She thought of women that she knew that had multiple children.
Just one morning of sickness and already she was vowing that this
would be her one and only child. **I'm not made for this.**

"Could you bring me something to wipe my mouth?" She called as he
retrieved her water.

D'hol winced as more vomiting ensued, and went to the small kitchen
area to pour a glass of water from the pitcher. He wet a damp cloth,
laid it over his arm and then rummaged in a small cabinet to pull out
a small loaf of bread.

He went back to Jeyme, knelt and began wiping her face with gentle
touches. "When you can, drink and nibble some of this bread. Its
supposed to help with your stomach."

Jeyme took a swig of the water and used it to wash out her mouth
before spitting it into the bin, "Thank you." She said, taking the
bread as she moved off of her knees and sat down, wiping a hand over
her face, before trailing her fingers through her hair. "I was hoping
we wouldn't have this problem... At least not so soon."

"I can ask the healers if I can get you something to help with it." He
handed her the washcloth and then, taking the rubbish bin, walked away
to empty it and clean it out. He was only gone a few minutes before he
returned, now a little more awake, but still looking rumpled from
sleep. "Would a hot bath help?"

She nibbled on a small piece of the bread and followed it down by a
sip of water, "That sounds nice. I feel... gross." She offered him a
slanted grin as she remained sitting cross legged on the floor by the
basin.

He nodded and sleepily gathered them both clean clothes and put them
in the bathing chamber. Returning to her, he bent, carefully scooped
her up and carried her to their bathing chamber. He brushed his lips
over her brow, set her down long enough to tug the night clothes over
her head and then gently lowered her into the steaming water.

Jeyme hummed with pleasure as she was lowered into the bathing pool.
It felt perfect on her muscles, and for the first time she noticed how
tender her breasts had begun to feel. She knew that was common with
pregnancy and it actually made her smile. She had never made it to
these symptoms during her first pregnancy. That was a good sign,
right?

After undressing, D'hol slipped in with her, scooting around until he
was behind her. Taking a small handful of sweets and he began gently
washing her back.

"Thank you, D'hol... For taking care of me." She said around a purr as
she arched her back, enjoying the scrub as she closed her eyes. The
bread and water seemed to be helping, her stomach seemed a little more
settled, and the water felt amazing to her muscles.

He scrubbed gently around her neck and then moved to her lower back,
kneading the muscles with careful fingers. "You're carrying my child,
Jeyme. It's my turn to take care of you." He bent to kiss her neck
softly. "You'll not want for anything, I promise you." He moved to rub
the sweetsand into her arms, and then around to her abdomen. He wasn't
sensual, but he was careful and tender.

Warm little tingles spiraled through Jeyme's body, mirroring the man's
movements as her eyelids began to flutter shut. She really was tired,
and it felt so nice to be pampered- that was a first for Jeyme. She
had never had a man do anything for her, and since their lunch
together D'hol was beginning to show Jeyme a whole new side to him
that she hadn't known existed.

He moved to bathe her legs and then rubbed the soles of her feet,
massaging the insteps with firm fingers. First one foot was cared for,
then the other before he moved upwards to massage her calves
carefully. "Let me know when you're ready to lay back down. We'll get
you dried off and bundled up."

"Mnhh...I think if we don't get out soon I'm going to fall asleep."
She warned, raising a sleepy eyebrow at him.

He chuckled softly. "Or become wrinkled." He put down her legs and
lifted himself out of the water, fetching two towels. He dried himself
off quickly, pulled on his clean pair of sleep pants and bending,
carefully lifted her out of the water. He toweled her off, then
wrapped her in its warmth before leading her back to bed. Nudging the
basin beside her side of the furs, just in case, he patted the furs.

"In you go, sweet."

Jeyme sighed gratefully as she sank into the bed and snuggled down
into the furs that D'hol had so thoughtfully prepared for her, "You're
the best," she mumbled sleepily, her eyes already drifting close,

"I... luff you." And then she was gone, sound asleep.
