Jeyme

Finally Jeyme understood what all of the hype was about when it came
to mating flights. The heightened lust and emotions that coursed
through your body made everything seem exponentially magnified. It had
disappointed her that Yumath and D'hol had not won, but she had
quickly found all of that washed away by the magnitude of what she
felt as she and N'vanik mirrored their mating dragons. She had never
been with anyone other than her weyrmate, and while it had been
different than what she had with D'hol, she would have to admit, if
only to herself, that she _had_ liked it.

N'vanik looked at her for a moment, considering what to say, and
decided it was best to be polite. "Thank you for a very pleasant
flight, Jeyme." Although he couldn't help a little satisfied smirk.

She pulled herself up in the bed a bit, the sheets sliding down her
bare torso, "No, thank you, N'vanik. It was great." There was no point
lying about it, she could remember being quite vocal about her
pleasure during their love making.

He admired her breasts, her slim, strong body ... all of her. "And it
doesn't have to be over." He reached over to trail his fingers along
her arm.

Jeyme knew what happened in the flight room stayed in the flight room.
She knew that it was acceptable and despite the flicker of guilt that
she felt she found herself moving closer to N'vanik in the bed, "I was
hoping you would say that."

He smiled, wrapping his arm around her waist. "I'm going to make your
first flight unforgettable." Pulling her close, he kissed her with all
the hunger of lingering dragonlust.

Wrapping her arms around N'vanik's neck Jeyme decided that she was
going to enjoy this. You only had one first flight, right?

When he had his breathing back under control, N'vanik murmured, "D'hol
is a lucky man."

Jeyme was still panting softly, her fingers combing her hair out of
her face, "I wish someone would tell him that." Immediately she wished
she hadn't said that in front of the Weyrleader. She did love D'hol
and she really was struggling to accept the whole Cyradis thing.

"I'd go tell him right now, but I think he might punch me if I did."
N'vanik smiled and ran a hand through her short hair, enjoying the
feel of it.

She laughed at that, leaning into his touch without thinking, "Yes, he
probably would."

"Doesn't he tell you how special you are? Or at least show you?" The
dragonlust might be making him a little biased, but he already found
her charming.

Jeyme shook her head as she looked down at the blanket and picked at a
stray thread, "D'hol's not that kind of man, at least not with me. It
would be a hot day in /between/ before he told me I was special."
Memories of D'hol on his knees asking her forgiveness came to her, as
well as the love making that and followed and how he had finally told
her that he loved her, "I know he loves me, in some way, but I am not
his ... Goal."

She looked up at N'vanik, "He will be at Panitath's upcoming flight
with bells on. It's not just about being Weyrleader, he wants to claim
Cyradis in front of everyone. She is the ultimate catch in his eyes,
and always will be."

The greenrider lifted her shoulders in a shrug, "But you probably
don't want to hear about all of that." Her smile flashed back into
place as she reached out for one of his hands, "I don't want all for
that to ruin this anyway. This has been the perfect first flight for
me and Quinneth."

"I'm very happy I won." He twined his fingers with hers and bent for a
kiss. "If my heart didn't belong to someone else, I might be tempted
to steal you away." D'hol was a fool if he didn't see what a prize he
had.

Jeyme returned the kiss with a happy feeling blossoming in her chest,
"Oh, N'vanik... D'hol would kill you."
