It didn't take long to ferret out where Saidrene did her craft. She
had mentioned she did dragonhealing, hadn't she? Jenackt walked
quietly into the main area and scanned the people in the infirmary. It
wasn't hard to find the pretty girl.

Taking a deep breath, he strode over behind her and lightly tapped her shoulder.

Eyebrows raised as Saidrene turned and found herself face to face with
Jenackt. A day ago she would have been so happy that the candidate
sought her out on his own but ever since the flight.... She felt
awkward around him now and unsure of what to say after that day.

"Hey."

She looked just as uncomfortable as he felt. He supposed she had good
reason for that.

Apologies had always been difficult for him, but she deserved one and
he well knew it.

"Hi." He blew a strand of hair from his brow. "Look, I know I'm
probably the last person you want to see, but I wanted to apologize
for what I did."

"I am not mad or anything," Saidrene said, swiping her hair out of her
face, "I just didn't expect..." She cleared her throat, "I just wasn't
ready I guess."

"Yeah, maybe. But...I hurt you, didn't I?" Jenackt shifted on his feet
and shoved his hands in his pockets. "I didn't know that you hadn't
done that before and uh..I hadn't either, so...I guess I wasn't trying
to be careful." That had been hard to admit. "I should have asked."

She flashed a weak smile, "Thanks, " she did appreciate the gesture of
what Jenackt was doing, most guys wouldn't have thought twice about
it, "to be fair I could have told you. I was just caught up in
everything that was happening."

He sighed. That weak smile was nothing in comparison to what he had
been getting from her. He tried offering some sort of compliment. Guys
did that...he thought. "Well, I mean so was I. You felt uhm..." He
gave a crooked half smile. "..pretty sharding good. " He gestured to
her clothes. "Looked good too."

Saidrene's cheeks felt hot but this time an inevitably pleased smile
crossed her face, "Really?" She hadn't expected Jenackt to actually
_like_ her... In any aspect. "Thanks. You.. Looked good too." She
finished quickly with a shy smile. It wasn't a lie, she had always
thought he looked good, unclothed had been even better.

"Yeah." He nodded. "Smelled good, felt good and looked good." A rare
wider smile flashed, dimples appearing for a moment in his cheeks. He
shifted on his feet again for a moment. "I wouldn't mind seeing you
like that again. Maybe when you're more ready, I could try again.
Maybe it would be better for both of us. I could make it up to you."

Just earlier Saidrene had been thinking that she never wanted to have
sex again, but one look at Jenackt's smiling face had her heart flip
flopping again and she found herself matching his smile with one of
her own, "I would like that." She said, surprised that she actually
meant it.

He nodded and reached to tuck a piece of hair behind her ears.
"Well... think about it."

"I will." She promised, feeling better than she had previously about
their situation.

"Okay." He exhaled and stepped away. "I'll see you later then."

"Later." Saidrene waved turning back to the supply cabinet she had
been stocking with a happy smile.
