Pulling everyone together in the Wing meeting room, Rhosyn waited
until the doors were shut and then she stood up in front of everyone.

"Ladies and gentlemen-before we go into our normal wing business, we
have an announcement. As some of you know, Vilarth flew a few days
ago." She gave a happy smile. A good Flight was always celebrated in a
Weyr and Rhosyn liked to think Lenala's success was due to her own
good influencing. "And of course, I am as big as a Weyr. So, there is
going to come a time when both of us goldriders will be grounded."

She let that sink in and then put a hand up to forestall questions.
"In order for their to be someone to lead the wing, we've put a plan
in place."

Trying to look happy about it, she let her eyes travel around the
room. "In a few days' time, goldrider Tsaera will be arriving. She has
agreed to take over the Wing once Lenala is unable to fly until I am
cleared for duty again. Both Lenala and I will be performing the
duties of Weyrwoman here at the Weyr while we are grounded so that
Tsaera only has to lead the Wing."

Rhosyn stepped back, signaling for Lenala to say what she wanted to
say and to answer questions. Her back was hurting and it would be
better to sit.

Lenala didn't have much to say. "This is just temporary solution until
Vilarth's Eggs are Hatched. After two sevendays, she'll be too egg
heavy to fly a Fall and while the eggs are on the Sands, you can't pry
her away from them."

Ciara nodded and smiled. She actually had served in the Queen's wing
when Tsaera had been the Senior Weyrwoman at River Bluff and had great
confidence in her abilities to lead the wing during Fall. Looking
around she saw smiles and nods from others around the room.
"About how long will she be here? Or has that been decided yet?"

Rhosyn didn't really want to reveal everything with her answer to that
question. "She'll be here at least until Lenala is flying again or the
healers clear me-whichever comes first." After all, they didn't know if she would
leave then or not.

Ciara maintained a half smile but inside she wasn't at all surprised.
Perhaps their Weyrwoman felt just a bit threatened. Not that she
blamed her. She simply nodded and folded her hands.

D'arvn didn't have much to say at all. He was in the Queen's wing only
as long as his injury kept him there. Of course he was very happy to
start training again after his injury so he only listened with half
attention while others asked their questions.

Once the questions died down, Rhosyn moved aside to let Lenala lead the rest
of the meeting. She would be doing it all soon enough, anyway. Watching her
and making mental notes, she was satisfied with her performance of late-she
had to admit.

It was all routine which she could do in her sleep. All the riders knew
their place and duties, so it was just matter of handing out their schedules for next
sevenday.
