Now that she had more time on her hands, Rhosyn took an interest in
other things. That included the young girl she had been trying to help, though she
had never exactly been able to solve the problem. So she had invited Bahji to her weyr
for a little talk. **I wonder if she?s allright after all of that** Knowing how she might
feel if she lost this baby, Rhosyn worried about it.

Using her cane, Bahji made her way slowly to Rhosyn's weyr, hugging
the wall to find her way. Burst, always present and always on guard, eyed her path and
hissing with warning if a stranger came too close. Bahji hushed him, but it
didn't curtail his anxiety at those walking too close to his pet. Wrapping
his tail firmly around her neck, the little bronze sent an image of a door
and Bahji stopped before her fingers touched the rough wood. With pat of
thanks, Bahji knocked.

"Come on in, please." She got up, ready to lead Bahji inside since
she'd never been in her weyr. That was one thing she had to remember-Bahji was blind.

Bahji pushed open the door and stepped in, leaning a little on her
cane. Burst peered around, eyes whirling with suspicion as he examined
the room and then settled his gaze on Rhosyn. A quick flash of an image
came to Bahji and she stroked Burst's side in thanks before taking
a step towards Rhosyn and bending slightly in an awkward curtsey.
Burst held on as she straightened, and his head tilted, but never did
he take his eyes off of the Weyrwoman. "You wanted to see me, Weyrwoman?"

"Yes I did Bahji. Come on in and have a seat." Rhosyn led her towards
a chair and waited until she was comfortable to put herself into one.
"It's been a long time since we last spoke and I was wondering if you
were doing better?" She had some other things to bring up, but she would
wait.

Sitting, Bahji folded her hands in her lap. Burst settled as well, his
keen gaze flicking around the room as if inspecting it for any possible
threats. His nostrils quivered as he inhaled, but seeing nor smelling
danger, he settled firmly onto Bahji's slim shoulder. "I'm better.
It's taken a while, but I am better, thank you."

"Good. Did you..ever have any other problems with Eirlira?" It was a
necessary question. The entire thing troubled Rhosyn but there was
nothing more she could do about it at the moment.

"Eirlira?" Bahji frowned and shook her head. "No. Why do you ask?"

"Well after what happened to you, I asked around. Everyone that spoke to
me didn't know anyone who would do something like that. However, it was
mentioned that you had a less-than-pleasant encounter with the candidate."
Rhosyn was fishing. She knew it. She also wanted Bahji to be on her guard.

"Well, yes, we did speak about that before, but I've had unpleasant
encounters with others before in my life. " She spoke softly. "I just don't
see why anyone would want that to happen to me."

"I don't either dear. Anyway I'm glad you're better. Are you working again?"
She knew the girl was a weaver-sort of. It wasn't an official apprenticeship
after all.

Bahji shifted in her seat. "A little. It's a slow process. I've been a little down, actually and..."
She shook her head, not wanting to bother the Weyrwoman with her own personal
problems. "I'm taking things slow."

"It's natural to grieve and to be upset after something like that happens.
You do have someone to talk to, though, if you need it?" That was quite
important. She wondered if the girl had any real friends besides the bluerider.

She was quiet for a moment before she nodded. "Yes, I have been talking to
Gelira and D'arvn a bit about it." She didn't mention E'rae; for right now,
things between she and E'rae had been tense and she didn't want to bring that up.

"Oh that's good." Then again maybe it wasn't. Was it hard for her to see
Gelira pregnant when she wasn't? That particular situation had turned out
to be more than a little inconvenient for Rhosyn and she was not very
happy with a certain brownrider on that count. There was nothing she could do
about it now, though.

"Good then. I wanted to tell you that I asked around after what happened. No
one seemed to really see or hear or know anything. The only thing that came
up was the issue with Eirlira. She was punished, but other than that, there's
really nothing else I can do. If something else happens or worries you, though,
please tell me." Her hazel eyes were softly focused as she watched Bahji's
body language.

"I wasn't expecting anything." Bahji's reply was soft. "I've not heard
from Eirlira since, so I am sure the matter is over with." Her hand lifted
to lightly stroke Burst, who nuzzled her hand with affection. "I will."

"Good thing then." Rhosyn stood then. "Bahji...you're one of my weyrfolk
now. The Weyr takes care of its own." She might be just a bit taller than the
girl, but Rhosyn was a lot larger just then and she didn't mind throwing her
bulk around. She needed the girl to understand that she wasn't alone. "I also
don't like it when people hurt people. And when they get away with it." She
gritted her teeth, trying to focus on something else.

"I know." She nodded, her voice soft. She had to be weyrfolk now;
it wasn't as though she could return home. And deep inside, she was still
hoping that the whole affair had been just a horrible accident. She knew
Rhosyn didn't think that way, nor did E'rae. But she still had that naive
hope. "Thank you for talking to me."
