As always, Lenala was slow getting back to her senses after a Mating Flight.
She was feeling languid. She could feel Vilarth's satisfaction radiating
through their bond.
"Hi," K'reyel was laid on his side, watching the goldrider as she came back
to herself. Nobody but the winning partners in a goldflight could truly
understand where it took them and their dragons. "That was something."
"K'reyel?" Lenala studied his face. Well, it could be worse. "It always is,"
she continued and stretched out like a feline.
Weyrmated though he may be, he wasn't blind and the view was worth it. A
part of his mind was saying he should go back to her, but winning a gold
flight... It meant something for him and Erdenth, proof that he may finally
be coming out of his father's shadow.
"Erdenth says your Vilarth flew well," he began. "That has to make it
better."
"She did and she's certainly satisfied with her choise of a mate," Lenala
replied. Her gaze lingered on his body. He wasn't bad looking rider.
"I wonder how many eggs there'll be," he mused, even as he shifted slightly
closer to the goldrider.
"Many, it was a long flight. The Weyr certainly needs the weyrlings," Lenala
replied. Her hand stroked his chest.
That was a message that could not , and would not be ignored. "Plenty of
weyrlings I hope," he said, reaching for her hand, directing it gently to
somewhere that would feel good, even as he began a similar exploration of
her body.
"mmm," Lenala murmured with pleasure and used her fingers creatively.
"Perhaps we should celebrate that fact?" he suggested. "In the best way."
"I thought we were," Lenala replied a naughty little smile. "Although a
glass of sparkling wine would also fit to the occasion."
"Well I think you may need the refreshment, after..."
"Is that a promise?" Lenala asked with a challenge in her voice.
"I'll make it one."

"Well, that was something," Lenala breathed out after she stopped shuddering
with pleasure. K'reyel sure knew his way around female body.
"Indeed it was, and maybe it'll be an omen for the clutching."
"I'm expecting a big clutch. The last one was good too, and the sire was
much younger bronze," Lenala replied.
"Erdenth won't let Vilarth down," K'reyel told her with a smile. "Not after
a flight like this."
"We certainly need the weyrlings," Lenala said. She reluctantly pulled
herself a sitting position.
"I can't deny that," agreed the bronzerider as he also sat up. "A good
strong clutch is what we need."
"Yes," Lenala nodded. "I could use that drink now."
"Well how about we go get one then," suggested K'reyel as he looked for his
shirt. "Show the Weyr what we've done."
"All right," Lenala agreed.
