Description: Jeyme decides to give D'hol a little surprise
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 3, day 7 of Turn 7
"We're going to have to find a wingthird as soon as we can." D'hol
frowned at the formation, attention focused on the gaps and the
possible options of filling them. "Next drill, we'll have to try
another flight formation to make up for what we don't have."
K'deren nodded in agreement. "We could try this one," he said, reaching for
another hide. "We'd still be a little exposed here," he indicated. "But not
so much over at the front."
While D'hol and K'deren hashed out possible solutions for their flight
formations, Jeyme was stealthily sneaking into D'hol's weyr. Well,
truthfully, Quinneth had persuaded Yumath not to tell D'hol because it
was going to be a "surprise." The greenrider chuckled to herself as
she tried to imagine the man's reaction... She decided that she
couldn't even begin to fathom how D'hol would react, only that she
hoped it would be positive! While this entire thing went against all
of Jeyme's holdbred rearing, she felt compelled to act spontaneously.
In her opinion, D'hol needed more fun in his life and less stress. If
he wasn't being pulled about by a greenrider who might be pregnant by
him, then he was being told that he'd had a child Turns ago that he'd
never known about.
**Today is all about having fun.** Jeyme thought as she stepped into
the Wingleader's main living quarters. Stepping into his bedroom, she
smiled as she inhaled a scent that could only be described as D'hol's.
Peeling out of her clothing, she strewed it about, like a trail, that
led right up to the bed. Giggling a little, from nerves and
anticipation, Jeyme crawled into the center of the man's bed, and
arranged herself. **Okay now Quinneth, send Yumath _two_ pictures to
pass to his rider. First, this one,** she sent Quinneth a picture of
her clothes on the floor, leading to the bed, **and then this one.**
The second mental picture was one of her, naked, and waiting on the
man's bed.
Quinneth was not entirely certain what this game was that her rider
was playing, but the greenrider's bubbly excitement was hard to
ignore, }:Yumath, would you pass these images to your rider, please?:{
The big bronze was quick to answer. }: Mine is in a meeting right now,
Quinneth. Is this important?:{
D'hol rubbed his chin at K'deren's suggestion. "And we've months before the
new Weyrlings are ready." He studied the formation carefully. "We'll need
someone right here.." He jabbed with a finger at the spot. "Someone who is
quick and level headed. Any suggestions?"
The young, green dragon was momentarily puzzled as she tried to
determine whether or not this message was "important." She could feel
an overwhelming since of humor and anticipation coming from her rider,
and so she answered back to the bronze, }:Yes, I think so.:{
Yumath chose the moment that D'hol was taking a deep drink of klah to
send the images, along with a touch of amusement. Yumath was well
aware of the meaning behind the images and the dragon's deeper sense
of humor awaited D'hol's reaction. He wasn't disappointed. Klah spewed
from D'hol's mouth and he choked, bending slightly to cough with eyes
wide in surprise.
"Are you okay?" asked K'deren. Maybe the klah was cold, or over sweetened?
Coughing, D'hol wiped his mouth with a stray cloth and blinked back
the watery tears that had come with the coughing fit. }: Yumath! :{
The bronze gave a quiet chortle. }: That was worth it.... :{
D'hol glanced up at K'deren and waved a hand. "Fine. I'm fine..." He
gave a cough and muttered. " Greenriders." }:Yumath...you tell
Quinneth that I'm going to paddle her rider's rear end for pulling
that.. :{
Down in D'hol's weyr, Jeyme threw back her head and laughed when
Quinneth relayed the message. According to Yumath and Quinneth, her
little stunt had gotten just the reaction she had anticipated.
Slipping beneath the man's blankets, Jeyme hugged up to his pillow and
closed her eyes, **I'll be waiting for him then.** She told her green.
"Are you sure?" The wingleader didn't look fine, but if he insisted he
was...
Devious and highly amused by the entire situation, Yumath decided to share
with Donneth. }:Quinneth's shared some most interesting pictures with my
rider. He was not prepared for
them.:{ There was a draconic chuckle. }:The young greenrider is quite an
interesting diversion.:{ He then chortled towards Quinneth. }: He really
plans on paddling her rear
end. He snorted his klah up his nose.:{
D'hol rubbed the heel of his hand across his eyes and cleared his throat.
"Not really, but give me time and I will be."
"I see," K'deren said after a moment, once he realised what was going on
after the draconic communication reached him. "Perhaps we should take that
time now?"
He eyed his wingsecond and shook his head. "No. It can wait until after our
meeting is done."
**And you need to learn some discretion.**
Yumath snorted. }: I'm too old to learn new tricks. Besides, it was far too
amusing not to share.:{
D'hol sighed and looked at K'deren before his lip quirked up. "She can
wait." he was not going to jump and chase the girl, but making her wait
would be just as torturous on
her. He hid a devious smile of his own.
