The feeling was a bit familiar now as she slowly regained her
faculties. She found herself tucked into a broad, well muscled chest
and her eyes tilted upward. She couldn't really see who it was without
moving and probably waking him up but she did know it wasn't T'nom.
Reaching for Liddith she got only a drowsy satisfaction and the
knowledge that her pretty lifemate had again chosen bronze. And...
and... "Loseth?"
"Hmm?" He hadn't heard what she said, but the sound of her voice woke
him. Warm satisfaction filled him, amplified by the feelings from his
sleeping lifemate. He'd won another green flight. N'vanik opened his
eyes and shifted to see who the rider was. "Pierka," he said with a
smile.
It was bound to happen sometime, after all Loseth was in his prime and
up to the tricks of young greens but that didn't relieve her surprise
of awaking in the arms of her Weyrleader. Pierka blushed. The feelings
her lifemate exuded flushed her system and she was very aware of his
masculinity. "N-N'vanik." she tried to smile back.
He shifted down so they could see eye-to-eye. Sliding against her
caused his body to react and he drew a sharp breath. She seemed
nervous and he didn't want to scare her off. "Little surprised to end
up with me?"
She could feel the reaction and it made her clench in places that made
her tingle and gave her a rush of pleasure at the thought. "Yes," she
said. "But not a bad surprise."
"Good." He leaned over to kiss along her neck and shoulder.
She shivered and gave an involuntary sigh. "Oh my," she said.
One of his hands slipped down her arm and along her thigh. "It was a
good flight." Leftover dragonlust heated him and he enjoyed the
sensations as it built.
His hands sliding over her along with kisses on her neck sent shivers
up and down her back. Her arms wrapped back around him and she went
with the warmth of his knowing touch and closed her eyes. "Yes," she
sighed. "It was a very good flight."
He smiled at her expression. It looked like her shyness was gone.
N'vanik's fingers slipped lower while he kept watching her face.
She couldn't' help it, didn't want to help it. She'd been wallowing in
her misery for days that seemed like Turns and she wanted to let go,
to feel something positive that had nothing to do with T'nom. No
matter how much the Weyrleader scared her normally, right now she was
still in the throes of Flightlust with no reason to want to snap out
of it. All that mattered was the way his hands and lips felt. Her body
undulated to meet his touch.
He kept up the slow, deliberate movements. It took an effort to keep
his desire in control, but her reactions and the little sounds she
made were another kind of pleasure to enjoy. Several minutes passed
before it was too much and he rolled on top of her.
With a sigh of acceptance and need she surrendered to the sensations
until she was completely swept away.

When she came back to herself again her heart pounding and her breath
in gasps she didn't have a clue how to say what she was feeling.
**That was wonderful** and she could feel the delicious satisfaction
from Liddith. "I needed that," she sighed. Then realized just who
she'd said it to and blushed.
"Glad I could provide." He shifted to lay beside her, contentment
making him feel wonderfully lazy. Hidework could wait.
She knew it was completely inappropriate to bring it up but she'd
needed to talk to him for several days. "Um, I needed to tell you I
won't be able to fly Fall like we'd thought." She'd been training with
the rest of the wing and had learned all the formations but... "I'm...
pregnant."
"Oh." His eyebrows went up. "Well, that's too bad for the wing, but
congratulations." He'd get her back, though, right about the time
Elleth's small clutch would effect wingrider numbers. **Don't count
the eggs before they're laid.**
Well that went a lot easier than she'd thought when she first realized
she was going to have to step down before she actually got to fly
Fall. "Thank you," she smiled. She really was happy about the prospect
despite the issues she faced. "So, should I go back to work with the
Weyrlings then?"
He thought about it for a moment. "No, the queen's Wing. I still want
you in the fighting wings."
"Oh thank you," she smiled and hugged him. She'd hoped she would still
be able to work in the wings. The work was hard but Liddith wanted to
sear thread from the skies with a desire Pierka herself understood.
She doubted other riders would have hugged the Weyrleader at such news
but she was in a little bit of a different position at the moment. She
doubted it would last but at the moment she was comfortable with the
big Weyrleader.
He chuckled. "You're adorable. And you've got a fighting spirit, too."
He put a hand on her arm. "Cyradis doesn't know what she's getting,
but she'll know exactly what she's missing by the time I get you
back."
"Yes sir!" she agreed.
