Oria

L'cor hummed as he stored his empty bag in the bottom of the chest
provided for his clothing. Then he swiped a hand over his brand new
bed furs. The bed was bigger than any he'd ever had in his life. He
grinned as he swung out of the sleeping room and into the main part of
his weyr and crossed his arms over his chest.

He could feel Tonuth's pleasure at the oversized couch. He could
actually stretch and not encounter a wall. Of course he was still
growing but right this moment his couch was bigger than he really
needed.

}:I like this place mine.:{

**Good, me too!** he grinned.

A green flit slipped in chirping a welcome to both dragon and rider, a
message clearly strapped to her leg. she circled a few times, before landing
and holding her leg out, hoping the person would have treats for her, she
had done so well at this task.

"Well aren't you a pretty girl," L'cor said to the little green and
found a bit of his lunch to give her in exchange for the note. He
unrolled the note and grinned. Writing a single word he offered
another little treat to the pretty little green and strapped the
answer to her leg.

Once Oria had read the reply, a smile spread across her face. While she
doubted he'd have turned her away, it was always nice to be expected. It was
with practised motions that she strapped up Degrorth for the short hop to
L'cor's new weyr.

**Tell Tonuth we're coming,** she asked her green as she settled herself.
**And that I have a gift.**

When L'cor got the message he grinned "Ohh presents," and rubbed his
hands together as he looked around the room for any last minute items
to pick up. "So Degorth is coming to visit your new weyr, are you
going to make room for her on your couch?"

}:Yes, I like Degorth she's smaller than she used to be.:{

L'cor laughed at the growing bronze **No, you're getting bigger.**

}:May we land?:{ Degrorth asked politely.

}:Yes, I made room for you.:{ the bronze replied. He wasn't yet old
enough to quite know why but he did seem to like green dragons better
than blue or brown.

The green settled on the ledge, her rider slipping down and deftly undoing
the straps.

**Enjoy your visit with Tonuth,** Oria advised Degrorth.

"May we come in?" she called out as she stood in the entrance to L'cor's
weyr proper, a small package clutched in her hands.

Tonuth greeted the pretty green with a nuzzle and invited her to lay
with him in his comfortable new couch. They were almost the same size
and he found he liked that and he liked her. }:I have lots of room:{

"Sure, come on in," he smiled as he walked toward Oria. "Is that for
me," he asked as he took the package and unwrapped it. "Oh, this is
great!" The package revealed a nice warm throw that would look very
nice on his couch. "Thank you," he leaned forward to give her a hug.

"I'm glad you like it," she said returning the hug, aware that until his
knots showed senior weyrling status, that was all it could be. "I thought
you might appreciate something to make this place more your own."

His hand ran down her arm to her hand when the hug lingered just a
touch too long. He squeezed it before he let it go. "It's very good to
see you," he smiled. "Would you like something to drink?"

"I'd love some juice if you've got any."

"I've got that," he smiled and tossing the throw on the couch. Rubbing
his hands together he walked to his sparse sideboard and poured two
glasses. "Have a seat," he said over his shoulder and brought the
glasses back holding one out to her. "You're our first visitor."

"Really?" she said as she sat down. She took the glass and had a long drink.
"I bet once you get settled there'll be a good few visitors up here."

"Oh I expect so," he smiled, "But it's very nice for you to be my
first visitor. It's not finished yet but it's getting there." Once he
was allowed to fly solo and provided the Weyrlingmaster agreed, he was
going to go back to Green Valley to see his mother and pick up a few
things he'd left in her care.

"You need something for the walls, I bet there's someone who could do a
drawing or two for you."

He smiled looking around the walls. Decorating wasn't his strong suit
and truthfully he hadn't really noticed. "Think maybe you could help
me with that?"

"I know a couple of harper trained people who might help," she said. "A'reck
in my wing has his Journeyman knots and I bet he'd be able to do something,
maybe a sketch of Tonuth before he gets too big."

"Oh thats a good idea," he said. "He's getting bigger every day." He
reached out to touch the throw she'd brought. "Green's my favorite
color," he smiled.

"And here I was thinking it would be bronze," she teased back, returning his
smile.

"And here I was hoping that _your_ favorite color was bronze." He knew
he was on the verge of rather heavy flirting and wanted more than that
but stayed firmly in his seat. He was hungry for her in a way he
couldn't describe but he had to wait. For Tonuth's sake he had to
maintain control and wait but thankfully they were almost there.

"That," she said with another smile, "Would be telling. Ask me again another
time, and maybe you'll be surprised by the answer."

He chuckled "I'll remember that," he warned. He found he liked her
sense of humor. There were many things he liked about Oria that were
completely different from how he'd felt about Malysa. His whole life
had been turned upside down when Tonuth had chosen him and he felt a
new swell of hope for the future.

"More juice?"

"Please," she held her glass out. "When you graduate, then it can be
something a little stronger."

"Yes," he nodded. "And I'll sit a little closer."
