K'sedel

After the feast and seeing Reeva and N?vanik and everything, Rhosyn knew she
had a duty to sit down with her Weyrleader and talk about everything as well
as the plan for the future since this was going to effect things. So she waited
awhile as everyone danced and wound down, sitting in her weyr. **Tell
Nikornath?s when he has time I need to see him**

Orlaith passed on before going back to sleep. It had been a long day.

}:He will come,:{ came the response.

Lying down to rest for awhile before he came, she let her body forget the
changes and the sick feelings and everything else in wonderful slumber.

"Knock, knock," called K'sedel gently as he tapped on the door. "May I come
in?"

"Only if you don't smell bad," Rhosyn offered weakly, but she did get up
and sip the water on the table nearby as she waited for her Weyrleader.
A loose nightgown was on her now instead of the tight dress and it was clear
she had gained weight.

"Are you feeling okay?" he asked gently. There had been a few bits of gossip
floating around that he and Lenala had tried to stamp out, but some things
would come to the surface, and looking at her now, it was possible that
there was more than a grain of truth to them.

"A little....worried but not sick anymore I don't think." She sighed and put
a hand up to her cheek. Then after a few moments, she brought her face back
to K'sedel. "Reeva says I'm almost certainly pregnant. And if she's right,
it could be yours."

"I see," there wasn't much else he could say. Babies came from Flights as he
well knew, two of his own having resulted that way. "How far along does she
think you are?"

"She says a few months at least but she's not sure. She recommended going
to the dolphins but of course we'd have to fly straight or sail there." Orlaith
could make the flight easy enough. "And of course that means I'm going to be
grounded for a much longer time."

"Will Lenala be able to cope?"

Rhosyn considered that, as well as how her Wingsecond had performed already.
"I can still do my duties with Solieira and everything else I've been doing
grounded now. She'll just have to run the wing in drills and fall until time."
It was times like these when she wished they had a junior gold to assist with
the load. "I think she can manage."

K'sedel hoped so, Lenala was starting to show her potential, the last thing
they needed was for her to panic at the thought of the responsibility. "Does
anyone else need to know?"

"I've already told N'vanik. I'll have to tell Lenala and Solieira, but I
think I'll do that tomorrow once all the Hatching guests have gone home and things
die down and I get my head around it." She scratched her forearm, thinking. "Do you
want to go with me to the dolphins?"

"It might be an idea," he said. "And I'll have to tell Ciara, she needs to
know, just in case." If the child was his, it would be a sibling to his already large
brood.

"Do what you need to. I plan to make the trip as soon as possible. Let me
know what you want to do. Anyway, no more wine for me," she chuckled ruefully
since of course she had imbibed a bit at the Hatching before she'd taken ill.

"I'll let you know, after I've spoken to Ciara. But for now, perhaps you
should get some rest."

She nodded, though she had indeed had a little bit of a nap already. It was
hard to stay in when the rest of the Weyr was having fun at the celebration-her
celebration. Sighing Rhosyn saw K'sedel out before she went back to bed,
determined to figure out if she was really pregnant or not as soon as possible.
