Characters: Honalyse, U'das

Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 13, day 29 of Turn 6
Rating: PG-17

U'das was wandering around the Turnover party, drink in his hand, chatting
with people and generally socializing.

Honalyse had been laughing and joking with her friends when her face
suddenly froze, though they were so engaged in their merry-making, none of
them noticed. **U'das!** She looked around, trying to find somewhere to
hide. Of course, she know it was possible that they might bump into each
other tonight, and she had prepared herself as best she could, but now that
he was there, in the _flesh_... **No, Honalyse, don't think of flesh!**

Childishly, she ran to duck down behind the drink table in the hopes that
he would quickly move away. She just couldn't face him. Not after that
night!

~*~ flashback ~*~

News spread quickly through the Weyr. Juicy gossip about bronzeriders
seemed to have wings of it's own to carry it around from lips to ears.
Honalyse had heard, as everyone had, that Wingleader U'das was stepping
down because of his failing eyesight.

**Tragic,** she thought with a shake of her head. Sure, he was a bald
old man, but he had been a great Weyrleader and Wingleader in his day.
And now his life was over. Or at least life as a fighting dragonrider
was over, which to her was pretty much the same thing.

He deserved a fitting send off before slipping into oblivion, she
decided. And though he was long in the tooth to her young eyes,
Honalyse had decided to take it upon herself to send him out properly.

When he opened the door, Honalyse stood before him, hands on her hips. "I
hear you are going blind."

"Hello Honalyse. Yes, that's right. Amazing how fast news spread around
here," U'das replied and let her in. He was curious why she was here.

"Well, I think that's a pretty raw deal. You deserve better. You have
served the Weyr well." It was stated very matter of factly. "You can come
in, by the way," she said with a jerk of her head indicating that he no
longer had to stand by the door.

"Nature sometimes plays cruel tricks on us. Do you want something to
drink," U'das said, and asked, closing the door behind them.

"No, thank you, I can do this sober." She reached for the hem of her tunic
and neatly pulled it over her head. "You deserve to give your eyes their
fill before they fail you completely."

"Well, I'm not going to complain, you're pleasure to this old eyes," U'das
said with slow drawl, letting his gaze roam freely. He didn't had a heart
to tell her he already had seen all she had to offer. She had been too
drunk to remember and sometimes it was just best to let things be.

"You can touch me, too," she assured him. "I want to do this, for you."

"You don't have to tell me twice," U'das smirked and moved closer, reaching
out to pull her to his arms. "Tis an honour."

"It's _just_ your eyes, right?" she asked as she reached for his buckle,
wanting to be sure he wasn't going to have a stroke or anything.

"Oh, yes. Rest of me works just perfectly, as I will prove you," U'das
replied.

Honalyse could already feel a bit of proof pressing into her hip as she
slid her hands inside his shirt. He was surprisingly muscular for a man
his age, she thought. "Just tell me if you want me to slow down."

"Slow, me?" U'das murmured between kissing her. He did have an advantage of
already knowing what she prefered, even if she didn't remember it.

Shards, he was a surprisingly good kisser! Honalyse would have been
shocked if she wasn't trying so hard just to stand, the way her knees were
starting to feel as though they'd fail her! "No... I mean..." She was
trying to come back with some kind of sarcastic, witty comment, but how was
she really supposed to use her mouth for anything else?

U'das started to lead her towards the bed. He planned to be thorough with
her and prefered the comfortable bed instead of floor.

She allowed him to lead her, and when thought was possible between his
kisses and his roaming hands, they were in utter confusion. This wasn't
how it was supposed to be! All the young women who had been married over
to old men complained about their husbands, but U'das definitely gave her
little to criticize, and him old enough to go blind!

After he got her to lay on her back, he started to really work on her!

~*~

**What just happened?** Honalyse's sluggish mind asked. That was as
intense as she'd ever had outside of Flight! How did U'das manage to bring
her to the edge of sanity, not once, but _several_ times?! It wasn't like
it was a place she was not familiar with. She'd definitely been there
before. But more than twice? Never! And him old enough to be her
grandfather! That was what she just could not wrap her head around.

U'das was breathing heavily, but he was no way drained or exhausted. He
just watched her, enjoying the sight.

For the first time in a long time, Honalyse felt absolutely naked, which
of course, she was. But it was like he was looking at _her_, not just her
breasts or any other womanly asset. It was a little unnerving, and yet she
felt so warm and relaxed all over, like her very blood had become molten in
her body. What could she _say_? "That... uh... wasn't what I had
planned..." Quite the opposite, in fact! "I was coming here for _you_...
you know..."

"Sweet Honalyse, your pleasure was my pleasure. Trust me, I thoroughly
enjoyed myself," U'das replied.

"Oh... Well... Good, then..." To tell the truth, Honalyse wasn't sure how
to respond to that. The partners she usually fell into bed with were
usually not as... giving... as U'das had been. This was usually the point
in which she started talking to fill the awkward silence until her partner
either fell asleep or made a quick escape. Now, it was hard to find the
words.

U'das was quite comfortable with the silence and in no hurry to anywhere.
He was actually drifting towards sleep.

~~*Present Day*~~

As Honalyse hunkered down, she noticed on the floor a round shape just
visible under the table. **A mark!** she thought, forgetting the
bronzerider entirely. She half crawled under the table to retrieve it.

U'das thought he saw a glimpse of Honalyse. He had still properly
thank her of her little surprise. He had fallen sleep and she had left
while he slept.

**Got it!** she thought triumphantly, half crawling back out from under
the table and sitting up to inspect her find. Honalyse had misjudged the
width of the table and hit her head on the bottom with a crack. A rather
loud and unlady-like string of oaths followed.

"Are you all right?" U'das asked, peering under the table. He offered his
hand to help her out of there.

**Shards, shell cracks, and spawn of the red star!** Honalyse swore in
head, but when she pulled it out from under the table, rubbing the sore
spot, she plastered a smile on her face. "Oh, U'das! What a surprise to
see you here!"

"Indeed. What were you doing under there?" he asked. She was really
peculiar greenrider.

"I.. uh..." She turned over the coin in her hands. It figured. It was
only a thirty-second mark! "I dropped this."

"I see. Was it worth getting banged?" U'das asked.

"Banged?" she asked, her eyes growing wide, not thinking he was referring
to her head at first. "Oh yes, you mean, on my head. Uh... of course! I
mean, I dropped it, so I wasn't just going to leave there for... anyone to
pick up..."

U'das shook his head, amused. "Honalyse, I like you but I can't follow your
thoughts."

"Well, thinking's not what I'm good at," she mumbled, resisting the urge
to rub her head. The greenrider was rather annoyed that felt a slight
blush at the fact that he said he liked her. Faranth only knew why! He
was old! And blind! And a good kisser... and shards, the way he made her
toes curl... Now she was flushed for an entirely different reason.

"Well, you're talented in other things," U'das smile took a sensual tone.

"You haven't seen what I'm _really_ good at," she said with a rather coy
smile, though in her mind she was berating herself. **Why are you
encouraging him! You're not going to every actually sleep with him
again... Really, you're not...**

"Why don't you show me?" U'das suggested. What was a better way to
celebrate the Turn Over?

"I'm sure you're not lacking for partners," she said with a laugh, turning
to walk towards the ladies room in a move that she hoped would dissuade him
from following her. Or did she? Turning her head, she looked back at him
with a glance that lasted a little longer than she had intended, finding
herself wishing that he _would_ be so persistent. **Don't string him along
for your own sharding pride. It's not nice.**

U'das could follow that bottom anywhere.
