Reven

Reven
Lady Felyna

Felyna

She let herself into Corowal's office, so they could head to Green
Valley and formally speak to Reven. She thought Corowal agreed with
her idea, and now it was only a matter of getting Holder Reven to
agree. But why wouldn't he? Arippa was of good breeding, and her
status was high enough for a Minor Holder. Plus, she was lovely.

"Corowal?" She called, as she slipped inside. "You do think this is
a good idea, don't you?" She asked, smiling at him as she came into
view.

"Good idea, what?" Corowal's thoughts weren't up to moment but he did
give her a warm smile for greeting.

She smiled back, warmly dressed for a runner trip. She was going
to Green Valley herself, and perhaps Corowal would come along as well
to discuss _other_ business besides weddings, and she was more than
ready to get Reven and Arippa married.

"Reven marrying Arippa, husband. I know its early...." She stood on
tip toe and kissed him warmly on the lips. "Wake up, hmm? Are you
coming with me to Green Valley? I know you think match-making is my
business and not yours. " And you'd be right, she mentally added,
the sparkle back in her eyes.

She hoped he would be pleased to see her recovering so well.

"Oh, that one. Yes, I'm coming. I remember suggesting the young man to
find a wife and have a family. He sure isn't wasting time," Corowal
replied and grinned. He liked Reven, at least based on what he had
seen so far of him and always liked visiting Green Valley. It was just
so beautiful place...with or without Dinalee.

"I'm not wasting time either, my husband. You know its my favorite
thing to do... Marry people off!" She grinned in response. "Lets
go!"

They arrived at Green Valley some time later, their runners winded a
little, but not too much so.

Reven would be expecting them, she had sent Xebex with a note telling
him they were coming, but not _why_. She had made it sound like a
social call.

As they dismounted, she waited for someone to come take the runners,
and for Reven to meet them. She could not _wait_ to tell him that
she had decided who he should marry, and even better, that they should
marry over Turnover.

Corowal dismounted too, and stretched the kinks out of his back. He
offered the reins to a stable boy who appeared to pick up their
runners. "If we keep coming here at this rate, I need to repair that
road. There was way too many bumps on it," he murmured with a grin.

Reven came down the steps of Green Valley with a smile of welcome for
The Lord and his Lady. He had been surprised when he's received the
message, via flit, that the Holders were coming down to visit him.
Reven hoped they would notice the hard work had been going on around
then minor hold lately to get things cleaned up and repaired. It was
really looking much better, Reven thought.

"Lord Corowal, Lady Felyna," he shook Corowal's hand with a respectful
incline of his head, "to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

"It's Felyna's business to tell," Corowal replied after the greetings.

And Felyna was grinning herself silly.

"Lets go inside. I can't really keep this news to myself much longer."

She followed along with the two men, until they were all settled
inside. As they walked, she did note some improvements and signs of
very busy Holdfolk just nearly everywhere. The Hold was looking very
good, indeed.

All the better. Arippa would be so happy here, she thought idly, as
they continued.

When they arrived, and were settled, she grinned again at Reven.

"YOU, my fine young man, are getting married." And just like that,
she said it straight out. No introduction, no preparation. Just the
news.

Reven's eyebrows shot up, his eyes flying from Felyna's beaming face
over to Corowal's and then back to the Lady. A thousand thoughts
flooded through the Minor Holder's mind, but mostly, he was just
baffled. He didn't even know that the Lord and his Lady were
considering women for him. Reven had only just gotten settled into the
Hold after all, and well, there was still the fact that he had already
begun to entertain thoughts of courting Arippa.

"Beggin' your pardon, ma'am?"

Corowal just gave lopsided I'm-here-just-for-the-show -grin. "She's
back in business," he murmured softly.

Felyna smiled sweetly at her husband. He was a _good_ show though,
handsome, and she was glad he had come with her. She did not really
want to be away from him for a while, now that she was feeling better.

"You heard me, my dear, sweet Reven. I've a girl in my Hold that
needs marrying, and you, just sitting here with this lovely Hold, just
beginning to take shape. You need help, don't you think? You could
focus on the Hold and let Arippa focus on the internal matters.... "
She dropped the name of his chosen wife into the conversation, knowing
already he would be pleased. Who wouldn't be with such a lovely woman
chosen for him?

Reven's brain picked out Arippa's name immediately. Had he just been
lucky to have Arippa chosen for him or had there been more to it than
that? Either way he was pleased.

"Lady Felyna, I think that sounds like a perfect plan. And I must
admit, that I couldn't be more pleased that Lady Arippa is the woman
you have in mind."

"Well, then, I'm glad it's working out for you. Let's draw the
marriage contract and send it to Amber Hills hold for approval. I'm
sure we can borrow your flit for it, dear?" Corowal said and asked
from Felyna.

Reven looked between the Lord and Lady, getting the distinct feeling
that they were an effective pair. He wasn't sure if there was love
between them, sometimes it was hard to tell about things such as that,
but it was obvious that the two were comfortable working together-
which was all that a Lord could ask for when he married.

Felyna smiled back to her husband, and Xebex obligingly hopped over to Corowal, ready to take back whatever he was asked to do.

She then turned the full effect of her smile on Reven, and they began to talk in earnest. This was a match that would bode well for everyone, including Corowal!
