Description: The two Weyrwomen have a little friendly chat.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 12, day 7 of Turn 6

She waited her turn, grabbing a bit of wine in the meantime. **Yep,
she got the good stuff.** Happily distracted, the River Bluff
Weyrwoman hummed to herself and tapped her toes ever so slightly while
rocking back and forth to the music that was starting. Rhosyn tried to
get Cyradis' attention, but she didn't want to interrupt whoever that
was she was talking to.
}:You are in a fine mood:{ Orlaith observed, though it was easy for
Rhosyn to be after a hatching. A draconic chuckle entered her mind as
her queen lent her own high spirits to her rider's, mingling together
in a sort of wine-foggy-happy-flying-feeling.
The receiving line was done or at least she was done with the
receiving line and looking around she didn't see where K'deren had
gone to. That wasn't surprising in this crush so she just headed
toward the drink table to pick up a glass of wine.
"Rhosyn," she smiled at the younger Weyrwoman. They were almost the
same height which was to say short, and could look each other in the
eye. "How are you enjoying it so far?"
"Oh well done. Glad to be here." She wasn't drunk, but she was happy.
Smiling and looking around, she winked at someone she saw. "Congrats
and I hope many many more to come."
"Thank you very much Rhosyn." She looked around, "Have you danced yet?"
"Mmm no, not yet. Needed to get juiced up first. Good stuff you've got," she
complimented, though probably not properly. Appreciative, she took another
sip.
Cyradis smiled. Her Uncle would be pleased to hear his choices were
going over so well. Of course she could only thank Qorri and her staff
for the excellent spread. Just then a drudge came by with a plate of
bite sized nibbles. She reached for one of the spiderclaw cakes and
took a nibble. "Mmmm, spicy. You should try some of these."
"To be honest, I think I've had a nibble of everything by now. It's almost
dance time. I did want to say hello and give River Bluff's well wishes though."
And her eyes also said what she wasn't saying. She was glad Cyradis was still
around. "So are things working out then?" Her voice was low enough
that it didn't carry over the din.
Cyradis smiled at the good wishes. "Thanks. It's appreciated. I'm sure
we'll be over to see yours soon enough." She finished off her tidbit
and then leaned a little closer. It wasn't all that much a secret at
Dolphin Cove but it would be interesting to the other woman. "K'deren
and I have weyr-mated," she said. "We're very happy. It seems to have
mellowed N'vanik a little bit."
Her eyebrows raised just a little at that. Of course K'deren was
R'sedel's brother and she knew him, but she didn't know him very well
like she knew his father or even K'reyel. Rhosyn was glad Cyradis was
happy, though, and even more that it was making N'vanik happy.
"Mmm..he sees it as you making the moves to stay. And it takes some of
the pressure off of him. Like I said-as time goes by, his trust will
build and then there won't be any of this odd tension. Sorry again
that the previous goldriders weren't very committed." **Well Traelyn
was committed but in a different way**
"Yes, I think you're right. That, and I'm very happy, it was a
successful hatching. It even looks like we have Lord Corowal's by blow
as a new bronze weyrling." She picked up a glass and took a sip. "An
altogether good day I think."
"Someone was saying something about that. I'd heard that he had a few
by blows so it's possible." She shrugged, remembering the man's
stepping in when that wretched holder had run his mouth. He seemed
like the women would like him. Firm, in control, and good looking.
N'vanik was the same... "I'll drink to that," she said before offering
up her glass.
"Oh I'm sure it's possible. The Lord of Emerald Falls has charm
aplenty and I'm sure he knows how to use it most effectively." She
grinned at Rhosyn. Privately she thought they'd have to keep an eye on
their new young bronzerider if he were at all like his father.
