}:You should come play with me.:{ The statement by the gold wasn't
exactly a command, but it wasn't quite a request either. If anything,
it might have been considered a polite command. Elleth wasn't really
the sort to be outright bossy, but when she wanted something, she also
wasn't the sort to ease her way into her desire. The gold landed next
to the bronze that dwarfed her - which wasn't unusual, really. She was
small for
a gold - and nuzzled him as if to soften her demand.
The thing was, large or small, gold was gold and Mnoranth wanted to
please his little mate. He nuzzled her back with affection. }:Of
course. Do you have ball?:{
}:Of course I do.:{ Elleth purred and unfurled her tail to reveal the
object in question. She gave it a light tap to make it roll to the
bronze.
He pounced playfully on the ball and tossed it in the air back to her
with a flick of his claws. Then he danced sideways as she'd gotten
pretty good at hitting him the the snout with the thing.
Elleth reared up on her hind legs then smacked the ball with a foreclaw.
It bounced off the ground and then skidded after the bronze. Elleth
bounded after it and kicked it mid run.
Mnoranth whirled around and smacked the orb with his tail to send it
flying straight up in the air and if a dragon could laugh he would
have.
Elleth skidded to a halt, then double backed as the ball sailed over her
head. She cut it off, then used her own tail to hit it back toward the
bronze, the aim right for his snout.
And once again she smacked him square in the snout. He whoofed and
tossed it in the air. It didn't hurt anything but his pride. As the
ball came down again he head butted it in a high arc over her head
once again. }:Little minx!:{
Elleth snorted delicately, the sound rather similar to a human laugh as
she bounded after the ball. She stopped the ball with a claw then
smacked it back, that time low to the ground so that it skidded, then
slipped under the bronze.
He nearly turned inside out trying to catch the ball as it shot
between his legs towards the beach. But he whipped around and ran
after it batting it backwards toward the fun loving young gold. A
whistle and clicks caught his attention as he skidded to a halt in the
sands. }:Dolphins! Do they want to play?:{
}:Maybe. We should ask.:{ Elleth smacked the ball lightly with her
snout and sent it into the water. Without waiting to see if Mnoranth
would follow, she plunged into the waves, the ball bobbing up and down
in front of her.
}:Yes!:{ He enthusiastically dove in after her. The dolphins squee'd
and clicked at them, swimming circles around them. One of them finally
brave enough to run up close to the gold and toss the ball into the
air.
Elleth tried to leap into the air. Granted, she was small for a gold,
but compared to a dolphin, she was huge. Her body lifted out of the
water with one powerful kick and the ball bounced off of her golden
chest.
Dolphins shot away from her leaping in and out of the water as the
tracked the high trajectory. The leaped and spun in the air one
finally making a prodigious leap to knock the ball back toward the two
huge dragons. Mnoranth's head snaked sideways to smack the ball with
his snout. This time on purpose. But swimming was much more tiring to
the bronze than simple flying.
}:Giving up?:{ Elleth purred almost triumphantly as she wound through
the water, just enough of her back and tail showing to make her look
like some golden tunnel snake daring the sun to take a swim.
He paced her progress through the water and finally caressed her neck
with his head. }:Come sun with me beautiful Eleith. Let's put ball
away and warm ourselves on the rocks.:{ his voice rumbled a cajoling
thrum through the water.
There was a soft, draconic rumble from the gold who didn't argue but
rather nuzzled the bronze before she drew out of the water, her ball
with her. She twined her tail about the object, dragging it along and
looked behind her, a coy expression upon those golden features.
}:Coming?:{
}:Of course:{ he replied right away and shook himself as the water
sluiced off his bronze hide. If a dragon would think another dragon
cute, that's what Mnoranth thought Elleth was in that moment as he
trotted after her.
