In all his glory, Leith-catcher of greens-was arrayed in the Bowl. Of course
E'rae was behind one of his wings, leaning against the warm hide as night
fell. Since whether or not it was light didn't nmatter with Bahji, he had
decided this would be a better time. It wouldn't interrupt any greenflights,
wouldn't be hot, and there wouldn?t be many folk about.

Walking back to the Crafter area, Bahji enjoyed the night air with a
pleasant smile. The day had gone well and she had learned a little
bit more about different fibers. It had been a long process and one
that taxed her memory skills, but over all very enjoyable. She hummed
lightly as she walked, counting her steps to herself.

"There's a small rock coming. Don't trip," the bluerider called easily from
where he was leaning. Leith's head turned to focus on Bahji's outline.
She was small.

Bahji heard the voice and stopped immediately to turn towards the
voice. Her heart suddenly decided to flutter, but despite that, she
smiled brightly. "Oh, hello, E'rae. Thank you. Where exactly?"

"Three paces-dead ahead." It was different to watch her walk. She didn't
look to see where she was going like normal people would. E'rae also
noticed that her balance seemed to a bit better. Maybe that was a result
of heightened hearing or other senses that she used to get an idea of
spatial awareness. His eyes followed her as she made her way toward
him.

Moving carefully, Bahji's toes found the rock. She nudged it, then walked
around the stone easily. Hearing the deep breathing, she smiled a little
brighter, ignoring the fluttering feeling. "Is Leith with you? I think
that's him breathing."

"He is and it probably is." A snort could be heard which was easily
identifiable as draconic in nature even as Leith continued to watch her
as intently as his rider was as she came closer. "I thought it was time
you two should meet and you did say you'd never felt a dragon before."

Her head immediately turned towards the snort and the excited look
on her face couldn't be missed. She eagerly held out her hand.
"E'rae, could you introduce us?" She didn't hurry forward, but
waiting, nearly bouncing on her toes in excitement.

"Leith, this is Bahji," he said out loud for her benefit. "Bahji, this is
Leith. He's a full grown blue dragon, hatched right here at River
Bluff."

**She has to feel you. She can't see you-has never seen a dragon I don't
think**

}:I don't think this little person can hurt me. She's never seen one?:{
Leith asked curiously. He still didn't really understand blindness, just
that she couldn't see. E'rae had said it was sort of like /between/ all
the time, but Leith knew where he was then so that wasn't the same,
was it?

Coming forward, the blue brought his head down towards Bahji so that his
muzzle came under her hand. She was only touching a small part of his
broad head, but the hide that now rested against her fingertips was warm.
She could probably hear his breathing, which was steady and the steam
from his nostrils warmed the air slightly.

"It's nice to meet you, Leith." She heard the scratch of dirt as Leith came
closer, but held still. The moment her fingers touched the soft warm
hide, she inhaled sharply and an expression of amazement spread
over her face. "He's so soft."

She spread her fingers over his muzzle and her face became concentrated
as she trailed her fingers with purpose over his hide, moving upwards
to trace along his brow ridges. "He's beautiful..."

"I think so but I'm biased. Hear that old boy, she thinks you're pretty."
That caused another snort, but the dragon's eyes whirled a happy blue. He
didn?t move away from her since the rubbing and touching felt quite nice.
He didn't get that it was her way of seeing. "He says thanks, so are you."

}:You're laying it on thick now eh?:{ Leith scolded his rider.

**Oh come on, she doesn't know that you aren't attracted to two leggers. If
you were though, you would probably agree with me**

She didn't stop touching him; instead her fingers slid over to his jaw and
eye ridges. She concentrated on seeing him in her own way, her face soft.
"Thank you, Leith." Bahji inhaled deeply. "So that's why you smell that
way...you smell like your dragon."

"Aye, and probably some wher too since my pants and jackets are from their
hides." He didn't know if she could differentiate the two scents. "And he
smells like the sweetsand I use to scrub him as well as the oil that I soak
into his hide. I'm sure some of that stays on me as well."

"It smells good." Bahji smiled. "It?s unique." She spread her fingers over
Leith's brow ridge and jaw again, stroking the soft hide. Her voice soft,
Bahji turned towards Leith's rider. "Thank you, E'rae. This is wonderful."

"You're welcome though I daresay he's enjoying it. Werenn's the only other
one who gives him so much attention. He likes being scratched." The
bluerider could feel the pleasure coming through their bond and knew
Leith would let it go on all night if he could. "Of course it'll be time for
us to sleep soon if we're going to get up tomorrow."

"Oh." Her disappointment was obvious. "You have to go already?" She
paused and stepped toward E'rae, reaching out her hand. "Were you
waiting just for me?"

"I was hoping you might show yes, but I don't have to go just yet. Just
soon. A sleepy rider is dangerous in the sky." He caught her hand with
his own as he moved from beside his dragon, stepping out into the night.
"How do you tell day from night?"

"I can still tell the difference between dark and light. That's really the
only thing I can see anymore. " She kept her hand in his but lifted the
other. She paused, her fingers curling slightly. "May I see what you
look like?"

"Aye," he agreed before standing still and submitting himself to her touch.
It wasn't erotic really, but he still enjoyed her touching him. It was
intimate in a way, as she caressed his face with her fingers, searching
out his features.

Directing her hand towards his voice, her fingers found what she quickly
discovered was his cheek first. Her touch was light but steady, her face
turned upwards as she had to stand on her tiptoes to reach his brow.
They ghosted around his eyes and nose, feather light as they turned
to the sides of his face and then for a moment to stroke his hair and
ears.

She stopped and settled back on her feet, her face still turned towards
him as she dropped her questing hand. "You're very attractive."

"Thanks," he answered drily, not really knowing what else to say. "I think
you can get a better picture though if you do this bit." Taking her hands,
he placed them on his shoulders. His muscle from riding would soon be
apparent.

She easily caught the inflection. "Well, you said I was attractive. I'm
just being hon..." Her voice trailed off as her hands were placed on his
shoulders and by that was forced to stand closer to him. The proximity
wasn't lost on Bahji and her hands clenched on his shoulders for only
a moment. Her voice was quiet. "Strong shoulders." She lifted her head
and swallowed before she took a deep breath. "Are...are you going to
kiss me?"

"Would you like me to?" he spoke quietly, genuinely interested in this turn
of events. So she was becoming less shy. That was progress. Leith stood
quietly by, watching the stars.

Her fingers twitched against his shoulders, flexing into the muscles.
She was quiet for a long moment, sucking in her lower lip to nibble
on it. Should she? Curiosity tugged at her. It was just a kiss, wasn't
it? But she had began to really wonder what the fuss was about it.
She nodded. "Yes."

Bending down so that he could reach her, he put his hands around her
neck and head, angling it so it was easier to get to. The bluerider was an
old hand at this so it was with practiced ease that he gently pressed his
lips to hers, soft at first, then pressing slightly harder. After a few
moments passed, he began to suck just a bit on her lower lip.

The moment his mouth touched hers, Bahji went still and her
hands tightened on his shoulders, fingers curling into his clothing.
Her eyes fluttered closed and she sighed against his mouth. Not
so bad at all, she decided.

Then he did something unexpected and Bahji's mind went
completely blank. The suckling on her lower lip quietly thrilled her;
instinctively she clung a little closer to him and her hands tugged
him closer.
