"Hello, D'lorn, and congratulations," Uetia grinned and greeted her fellow greenrider.

"Ah well thanks," he told her as he grabbed up a carisak he thought he could use from the pile of things stores wanted to get rid of. "How are you doing?"

"As usual. How does the working with kiddies feel like? Already having regrets?" Uetia asked with laughter in her voice.

"Actually, I like it. I forgot how funny dragonets can be. They're so cute when they're young like that." He thought about what Villith had looked like. "It's a good bunch though we have things to work on. How are the fighting wings?"

"The same," Uetia replied. "People drill, fight Thread, gossip and sleep around, Oh, we do have some new transfers and few has left us."

"Well that's good. The senior weyrling class should be ready to go into the wings soon." D'lorn would be glad since it would take a load off his chest. "How's the family?"

"Just fine. G'el's keeping himself in trouble, as usual," Uetia said with an amused chuckle. Her bluerider brother was incurable flirt and sex-addict.

"Hmmm I haven't seen him in awhile. Maybe I should fix that. Tell him I said hi." D'lorn grinned, thinking of that night past with R'sedel and remembering it been awhile since.

"Sure do, if you're ready to face the consequences," Uetia replied with a wink. "He takes 'hi' as open invitation."

"Ohh sounds like my sort of fellow. These days they're hard to find you know. And anyway, it helps me to get my exercise. Very important if I am to keep up with the younglings." He winked, thinking of the possibilities.

Uetia chuckled. "Yeah, you two will get along just fine. I'll mention you next time he drops by."

"Appreciated. If there's anything I can do for you lady, just let me know. I hear you've got plenty of romance going, though." D'lorn knew what was going on with the candidates and he'd heard Sabonus wasn't standing any longer. That was curious.

"Yes, I have," Uetia replied with a smile. If only Sabonus didn't insist on going to sea. Her smile faltered a little.

D'lorn didn't know much about the rest of the situation, so he didn't linger on the subject any longer. "So how is your green doing? Villith says hi."

"She's doing fine. As lazy as ever. Although, she's near rising," Uetia said.

"That must be fun. Is she good natured before time or does she make you feel like scum?" Villith sometimes did get proddy, but she wasn't as bad as he had he had heard others could get. And anyway, it was just something he had to deal with every so often, but the payoff was worth it.

"Mostly she's good natured. She does get more flirty and then there's moments when she drives me up the walls," she answered.

"Right. I imagine it's more irksome since you have your own feminine hormones going too. Me, I don't have to worry about my own time of the month thing." He was glad of that though it was odd being tied to a feminine personality sometimes. They'd been together so long, though. She was his best friend.

"Lucky you," Uetia sighed.

"Sometimes," he agreed, smiling. "It took a lot of getting used to at first. She reacts so differently to things. I guess it would be the same as you impressing to a male dragon, though that would never happen." D'lorn almost laughed as he imagined it.

Uetia nearly choked on that. "Woman on a blue? Not going to happen!"

"Or a brown or bronze, but no I don't think so. Just saying it's hard to think about until you have it happen to you." D'lorn remembered that first day trying to reconcile his preferences and ways of thinking with Villith's.

"That's right," Uetia nodded.
