R'enh

}:Angledouth is unhappy:{

His bronze sounded a little dejected after his rather smug and
satisfied feelings of a few moments before. He'd returned home from
River Bluff early in the morning Dolphin Cove time but perhaps it
hadn't been quite early enough. He'd left Rhosyn's bed in the middle
of the night her time to get back with the morning light to Dolphin
Cove. He honestly didn't want to make waves, at least not this soon.

**Why is she unhappy.** As if he didn't already know. A queen was
frequently jealous of her bronzes even if she only ever allowed a
single one of them to fly her. They were _hers_ and by the egg _must_
show single minded devotion.

}:She does not like that I visited Orlaith:{ R'enh sent a mental
reinforcement of his love to the big bronze.

Janani had been informed by Angdelouth the moment R'enh and Mnoranth
returned. The golden queen had been unhappy ever since she'd learned
that the bronze had been visiting with the _other_ queen. Feeling a
bit jealous that this was happening not once, but _twice_ with _her_
bronzes, Angdelouth had been simmering with upset.

Of course the dragons emotions were making Janani feel on edge and a
bit testy. She'd already told off one of the bakers and sent a few
drudges scurrying quickly out of her way lest she barrel them down in
her haste to get no where in particular.

}:They have returned.:{

**And what do you want me to do about it?** Janani thought back to her
lifemate a bit sharply. It wasn't like she could tell them what to do.
Well, technically she probably could, but that would only make
everyone unhappy.

"Does hers want to see us?" R'enh asked. He was uncertain if he wanted
to see his Weyrwoman after leaving another Weyrwoman's bed. He wasn't
her Weyrleader and had absolutely no desire to be in her bad books.
That was definitely not the way to start.

Janani was frustrated and angry, as was her dragon. Both were feeling
as though _their_ bronzeriders were slipping through their fingers
somehow. As Angdelouth grumbled a bit Janani finally gave in, **Fine,
tell him I want to see him.** She muttered under her breath, "Though I
don't know what exactly I'm going to do about things." She kicked the
toe of her shoe against the side of her sofa in frustration.

The message came through loud and clear. R'enh sighed, there was no
getting around it. He'd have to take his licks and only hope the queen
pair didn't ground them both.

Landing on Angdelouth's ledge He could see the unhappy whirl in her
faceted eyes as he walked toward the entrance to the inner weyr.
"Weyrwoman, You wished to see me?"

Her eyes were a bit narrowed as she looked his way. Letting out a
huff, she simply frowned in his direction. "It seems this Weyr isn't
good enough for our bronzeriders. Is that the case?" She knew her
words were a bit sharp, but Angdelouth's attitude was rubbing off on
her and she, herself, had her own issue with the bronzeriders seeking
solace elsewhere.

His eyes followed her and he kept his voice under tight control. "No
my Lady, we like our position here. I'm sorry if we've upset you and
Angdelouth." He wasn't quite sure how much to say but he didn't want
them upset any more than any other bronzerider would. He edged a bit
closer.

She heaved a rather exasperated sigh and fidgeted where she sat. "I
feel as though I've lost control here, somehow." She was antsy and
rather unhappy. She'd told N'vanik, what felt like ages ago, that she
was fine with his relationship, yet she knew it wasn't true. At first,
she truly didn't seem to mind. She wanted to live her life freely and
felt it only fair that he do the same. Yet, now, it just seemed that
somehow the other weyrwoman was stealing her power right out from
under her. What was it about herself that was so lacking that her
riders seemed to flock in the opposite direction? Frowning, she
plucked at her dress. "You were at River Bluff, right?" She inquired,
her tone flat. She already knew the answer, but felt the need to ask
the question regardless.

"I... yes," he didn't add that they were summoned by Orlaith. He
stepped closer and squatted down in front of her chair. "Janani," he
said softly. "Mnoranth once won Orlaith's flight when we were back at
Vista Point. We're friends because of that time." He and Rhosyn had
forged a friendship then when the rest of the leadership seemed to
disapprove of them both. He knew he liked Rhosyn still but her beauty
was much different from the delicate loveliness of Dolphin Cove's
Weyrwoman. He reached up to softly touch her fingers. "I really am
_very_ sorry to have upset you. Please tell me how I can make it up to
you?"

She looked at him, a slight pout on her face. "What does she have that
I don't, hm?" She asked, the true vulnerability of that question
evident in her eyes even though she'd tried to hide it. She exuded an
aura of confidence around the Weyr, but inside, she was just like any
other woman, and one who felt the men were unsatisfied with her in
some way. "N'vanik, you, how many others find her more appealing than
I?" She pursed her lips in dissatisfaction. She did no like this
intense feeling of jealously that had reared it's ugly head recently,
but she found herself almost unable to control it. "Even Angdelouth
questions why her bronzes seek out another queen?" It was stated
almost as a question, rather than a statement.

His eyes crinkled at the corners that pout was so cute it was all he
could do not to bite his lips. His hand held hers a little more
firmly. "Janani, we are friends. Once there was more but... that is
the past." his voice trailed off. "You are very beautiful." He knew he
was on very dangerous ground and couldn't really see an easy way out
of this. N'vanik was his Weyrleader and friend. "I can't speak about
N'vanik's thoughts," he murmured. "But I can tell you that you are
lovely and very desirable." The fingers of his other hand brushed her
cheek. "Please Janani, forgive me?" In the outer weyr Mnoranth crooned
softly to Angdelouth and rubbed his head against her neck in echo to
his rider's thoughts and feelings. }:Please forgive us lovely one:{ he
begged.

His words were soothing and seemed to be exactly what she needed to
hear. Turning to look at him closely, she found she was unable to tear
her gaze away. She'd seen him, spoken with him since his arrival, but
had she really, truly _looked_ at him? She didn't think so and what
she found was much to her liking.

"Would you promise me that there would be nothing between you and her
in the future? That you would stay _out_ of her furs?" She found she
wanted to make him hers. Almost as a way to prove to herself and the
other goldrider that she was just as wonderful. Perhaps it was the
feelings of jealousy she'd felt, perhaps it was something she saw in
his eyes as she gazed into them, but Janani knew in that moment that
she wanted more than anything for R'enh to agree to her request.

Angdelouth, meanwhile, while still a bit stand-offish found herself
turning her neck just slightly to allow the bronze the chance to
nuzzle with her further. She needed to be placated and he was doing a
fine job so far, yet she desired a bit more of his attentions before
she would be satisfied.

They seemed to connect in that moment. "That is quite a promise to
request," he murmured. Then he lifted her hand and turned it over. His
eyes never left hers as he raised it to his lips and kissed the pulse
point in her wrist. "I promise you," he punctuated his words with
small kisses that traveled up her arm. "That I will stay out of her
furs as long as I am living here at Dolphin Cove."

He pulled her arm over his shoulder and knelt closer bringing his face
close to hers. "And will you promise," he softly kissed her neck...
"to help me get over the loss?" His fingers threaded through her hair
and his lips traveled upwards to her ear and then toward her luscious
mouth.

Mnoranth's rumble of contentment rolled through her weyr as he
continued to woo the golden beauty.

She felt a tingle throughout her body as his lips brushed against her
skin. Yet, he agreed to her demands. Her eyes watched him closely,
surprised in some small way that he _had_ actually agreed. She sighed
as his lips caressed her skin. "I think I can help you with that," she
murmured, her own arms slipping around his neck as she turned so her
lips met his in an embrace that spoke of what was to come between
them. "You can share _my_ furs anytime," she whispered against his
lips.

Her words stimulated him instantly and he slipped an arm under her
knees. He stood with her in his arms and walked towards her bed. "Now
is good for me," he replied.
