}:Eillispeth! EILLIESPETH!! Something's wrong! Something's very
wrong!:{ Neath's eyes whirled white, as stark panic was overtaking
her whole being. She paced on her ledge, looking for her rider.
G'wen..where was her G'wen? He wasn't in his bed, he wasn't with any
of his friends. And his state of mind..what was wrong?! She took to
the sky, screaming out in fear. }:I can't find him! Eillispeth! Help
me!:{ Despair filled her whole being.
}: Calm down, Neath! Concentrate on the bond between you and him. Let
it pull you to him :{ Eillispeth answered. As long as the boy was
alive, Neath should be able to sense him, if she calmed down and
concentrated. The older green took air too, alerting her rider. She
flew to frantic Neanth, crooning motherly.
}:Neath! Eillispeth! I know where he is:{ Kadeth shouted from his
ledge. Turning to look back, he snapped at his blurry eyed rider.
}:Hurry up, before Neath does something really stupid:{ That's all
it took S'vin to scramble up the blue. He knew what that 'something
stupid' could be. The blue lept into the air and flew straight to
Sh'lua's weyr.
}: Sh'lua's weyr, :{ Eillispeth informed her rider and headed towards
Galerith's ledge. It wasn't surprise she knew where it was.
E'naer was left to race across the weyr's corridors, cursing angrily.
Was he not allowed any free time at all? Always some emergency came
up. What kind of trouble had the boy landed now?
Kadeth landed on the ledge first, followed by the upset Neath. }:He's
in here?:{
}:Yes, Neath.:{ the small blue answered.
Neath barreled into the weyr, pushing Galerith out of the way in her panic.
Several weyrs away Fanth had also woken in the panic and informed
T'bel, }:something's wrong with Neath!:{ That alerted G'waren, who
ran to Sh'lua's weyr after being told where all the dragons were
landing. If that man had done something to his boy....
}: Heyyy! It's customary to ask before landing someone's ledge! :{
Galerith protested when Eillispeth too landed on his ledge. He didn't
mind visitors but this was too much!
"What!?" Sh'lua was standing in middle of his weyr, whiskey-glass on
his hand when people seemed to burst in from doors and windows...well,
angry Weyrlimaster's third from the door and angry green dragon from
the ledge.
"What did you do with the boy?" E'naer demanded. "And for Faranth
sake! Put some clothes on!" Part of him appreciated the view. The
blue rider was very well built.
"This is my weyr. I dress up or not dress anyway I want in my weyr,"
Sh'lua said "I didn't do anything!" he added hastily. He gulped down
the glass's contest in one swallow. He got a feeling he was going to
need it.
}:Shove it:{ Neath growled at Galerith, before poking as much of her
body into the living quarters of the weyr as she could, to reach out
to the sleeping G'wen. She blew a sigh of relief and nudged the bed,
moving it by several feet.
S'vin had come in just behind her and when he saw his friend, he too
let out the breath he had been holding. "He's over here, sir!" he shouted to
E'naer.
"Watch out the furniture!" Sh'lua cried. "And he is sleeping off his
drunk," he continued.
"What else you were doing with him besides getting him drunk?" E'naer
asked sharply with a pointed glance towards the bluerider's downwards.
"He is no longer under weyrling ban and he wanted some experience,"
Sh'lua said, clearly on defensive.
Just then the boy's father ran into the weyr. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY SON?"
Outside, both Fanth and Manarth landed on the already crowded ledge.
"NOTHING! He's sleeping!" Sh'lua yelled back. He was starting to wish
he had, for the way this was one was turning out.
"Why are you naked?" The man glanced down at his son. "Why is he
naked? What did you do?!"
"Nothing yet, he wanted some experience, I was to provide him some and
he went out. Really, do you son a favour and teach him to drink
right," Sh'lua was getting tired of their questions and accusations.
He had done nothing wrong, morally questionable perhaps, but no rules
were broken.
"Don't you tell me how to raise my kid. Just because you have a
million and one of them, that doesn't make you an expert in child
care." G'waren stepped threateningly up to the other man. "And what are
you doing with a boy younger than most your kids anyways?"
"I have only five and seventeen is old enough to marry in holds!"
Sh'lua retorted back angrily. Everyone always thought he was his
father, it was so annoying.
E'naer had enough of the chaos. "Everybody shut up!" he yelled. "You,
S'vin. You have no business here so go home!" he ordered, pointing the
weyrling bluerider with his finger. Maybe the situation would clear if
he got the extra people out. "Neanth too, outside," he barked next
order.
T'bel had tiptoed in behind his weyrmate. And whilst he too appreciated
the view Sh'lua was giving them--and mentally congratulating G'wen for
being with the man--he knew now was not the time to make light of what was
happening. Sliding over to S'vin, he said, "why don't you and I get
little G'weny out of here? Will that help?" he asked E'naer, more
than happy to leave the greenrider to deal with the two blue riders.
"Anything might help," E'naer said to T'bel. He was surprised the boy
hadn't woken up, with all the noise they were making. He must be
really drunk. The whole Weyr was probably aware what's going on and he
could imagine Sh'lua's neighbors listening in on their ledges.
"Like you never shagged anybody who was young enough to be your child
or old enough to be your parent!" Sh'lua was still yelling to G'waren,
resisting an impulse to throw his empty glass to the other bluerider's
head.
"That's my kid, you numbwit! My kid, my only child!" G'waren pointed
to G'wen who was being wrapped up and carried out by T'bel and S'vin.
With them went Neath as well. "How the bloody shards could you do
that to him?" Why did the boy have to take after his tiny mother, the
man thought for the hundredth time. He didn't know whether to cry at
the site of his fragile child passed out and about to be taken
advantage of, or to beat the living crap out of the man who had done
this. "How could you do this to me, Sh'lua? I thought you were a
friend." He scrubbed his face and looked to E'naer for emotional
support.
E'naer gave him the 'don't look at me' -look.
"I wasn't hurting him. He came to me, he started it," Sh'lua said.
"What do you mean he came to you? He's an innocent little boy!" At
that G'waren stepped up to Sh'lua's face, ready to punch him should he
say anything more about his child.
"Innocent? Open your eyes! He sharding gave be a blow job!" Sh'lua snorted.
That was it. G'waren shoved Sh'lua hard. "You_don't_talk about my
kid like that. He's not some whore greenrider, understand?" When he
got away from this arse, that boy was going to get it, as well, passed
out drunk or not.
E'naer stepped between them, pushing the blueriders away from each
other before they would start fighting.
"That's it. I've have enough. G'weren, GO! Go to look after your boy,"
he softened his tone after the first command.
G'waren yanked himself away from E'naer and turned around. Reaching
out, he grabbed the bottle of whiskey where G'wen had left it only a
candlemark ago and strode out, shouting over his shoulder, "fuck you,
Sh'lua."
"You wish!" Sh'lua called after him.
"Thank's E'naer, for coming to my help", he said with soft tone to the
greenrider.
"Hah, don't thank yet. I certainly didn't come here to help you. What
the shards were you thinking of? All the weyrlings, you picked G'wen,
the one with over-protecting father and over-protecting lifemate?"
E'naer said and prepared to give the bluerider a piece of his mind.
Too bad it was hard to concentrate to scolding when his body wanted
something else altogether.
