Y'gel

Y'gel

The whistling could be heard from outside as J'ren sauntered into the
dragon healer facilities. It was time for a checkup for his big,
beautiful bronze, but there was more on his mind than just that. The
whistling stopped as he allowed a big grin to spread over his face.
Oh yes, that was definitely a memory to hold on to. The way she
rushed at him, the way he managed to drag her into a closet, their
clothes being torn from their bodies. He sincerely hoped it happened
again. Shards, he wouldn't mind it happening again and _often_. He'd
thought she was a fine woman from the day she arrived, but by Faranth
she was a fine woman in a way he hadn't ever thought he'd get to see!

As he stopped and looked around, J'ren began to whistle again. He
felt good, real good and so did his bronze. Maybe, just maybe, there
was a chance when next her gold rose...

Happy whistling floated in along with a large bronze. "Well well,"
said the big Dragonhealer "Who do we have here?"

J'ren grinned. His smiles were always large but this seemed
particularly bright today. "Hello Y'gel. Just here for Kenaranth's
checkup."

Always a jolly man Y'gel knew that most others weren't that way as a
general rule. "What's got you in such a good mood there J'ren?"

J'ren's grin just got even bigger. "You really want to know?" To be
honest, he wasn't really one to gossip, but J'ren just couldn't help
but be buoyed by it. The euphoria would die down soon enough, but for
now, he was riding high.

"Of course," he said with a smile.

"Rhosyn came to me. Actually, she almost literally _jumped_ me.
Biggest surprise of my life. And I must say, she's mighty fine." Oh
yes, mighty fine indeed. J'ren's smile only grew brighter as he
thought of those precious, exciting moments after they ducked into the
storage room.

Y'gel suppressed the flash of jealosy or was it envy, "Lucky man!" he
said with a grin.

"Lucky? The luckiest. The woman is...she's splendid. I mean,
outside the bedroom. She's strong, knows what she wants, doesn't care
what other people think, but at the same time she's not cruel or over
bearing." J'ren had liked her from the first moment he met her. Much
better than that Zharesti. "I may have to see if I can convince her
to jump me again."

He didn't begin to voice his own desire for the same attentions from
the Weyrwoman. "I've thought she would be!" he smiled. "Well, just
about anything is better than Zharesti." he twitched his brows. He
grinned at the other man. "Good luck with that," and found he meant
it.

"You've got that right." J'ren wouldn't have touched Zharesti with a
ten foot pole. Rhosyn, on the other hand. "Thanks. I think I'm
going to need it." But after all, nothing worth having was easy to
obtain. "Now...about my dragon..."

Y'gel crossed over to Kenaranth and checked the visible hide which
seemed to be well cared for. There were no cracks that could be bad
for the dragon when traveling /between/. He ran his hands over various
joints as he walked around. "He looks good J'ren. Any complaints?"

"None at this time. We've managed to avoid serious Threadscore."
J'ren knew that it was only a matter of time until that happened. He
just hoped it asn't _too_ serious. "But I know it's important to have
him checked out from time to time, just in case."

"Most certainly," he said and then to Kenaranth "Wings up!"

Kenaranth obliged without protest, lifting his wings. J'ren just
stood on the sidelines, watching the dragonhealer while he did his
job. When Y'gel finished, J'ren straightened and grinned. "Still
nothing wrong?"

"Nothing whatsoever," he smile. "He's looking fit and well cared for."
Then he put up a finger and shook it at the younger man. "See to it
you keep it that way."

"Don't worry, Y'gel." J'ren assured him. " I have every intention of doing so!"
