Description: Sabonus is on the receiving end of a proddy-green rider's moodswings...
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 13, day 1 of Turn 5
Sabonus stood to his full height, stretching the tight muscles in his
back. He had been hunched over the piece of wood half the day and his
body was not used to the posture. Though he was a carpenter by trade,
most of his work was functional, not decorative. Simple patters he
could manage of course, but it took all his concentration to add those
little decorative touches that were sometimes required of him. He had
been graciously been given a work space in the woodshop to work on one
such piece off ship, but it was proving frustrating and exhausting, both
mentally and physically. He gave his shoulders and neck a good roll,
trying to loosen the knots that were forming and was almost startled
when he felt a hand touch him.
"You look like you could use a good neck-massage," Uetia remarked.
She grinned, glad she had managed to sneak up on him.
"The neck would be a good place to start. Then my shoulders and the
rest of my back. I'm feeling like an old man," he smiled, putting his
tools aside. She was a welcome distraction. "How were drills?"
"The usual," she shrugged and put her fingers on his neck, starting to
knead the tensed muscles.
He hummed happily, his eyes half closing. She had wonderfully strong
hands! "You must be hungry."
"Famished," Uetia replied, applying more preassure to a unusually tight
spot.
"I suppose I can put this down for a bit, but I'm a long way from done."
He groaned slightly as he could feel the knot protest painfully under
her fingers, but he knew in the end it would feel so good. "But you can
keep doing that for a few more minutes. That feels great."
"I'm expecting a reward for this," she whispered into his ear. She
resisted a temptation to nibble it. Sirjath was close to Rising and it
had an effect on her too.
Sabonus knew that purr in her voice very well, and it brought a grin to
his lips. "What, you want your shoulders rubbed too?"
"I was thinking other spots..." Uetia whispered to his ear. "But perhaps
we should eat first," her sudden change to more practical and sensible
tone was almost unsettling, even to herself. "Sharding proddy greens,"
she murmured.
"On the contrary," Sabonus said with a smile, wrapping an arm around her
waist. "I think I'm beginning to like proddy greens more and more."
"You reap the benefits, I get the mood swings," Uetia replied.
"Oh ho," he chuckled, pulling her close and resting his forehead against
hers. "I get the mood swings too, remember." Just on the receiving
end.
"Yes, I do remember," she said and her hands snuck under his shirt.
He grinned, liking the way her fingers felt against his skin. "I
thought you were hungry, Uetia."
"So did I," Uetia grinned back. "There seems to be more than one kind of
hunger."
"I know." He leaned in to murmur in her ear as his fingers lowered to
her backside, "And I'm starving."
"You mean now?" she was feeling more than little naughty.
"Do you have some place you'd rather be?" he asked, brows raised
challengingly. Faranth only knew when her green would decide it was
time to mate. Every minute brought them closer to when she'd fall into
another man's arms. They might as well enjoy the perks of her proddy
green while they lasted!
"At least lock the door so no one can walk in," Uetia asked. She was
hold-bred after all and that was how far her naughtiness went. All
public was too much.
Sabonus was a little surprised! When she said now, he hadn't
necessarily meant _here_ and now! But... It did sound a little
exciting... the thought of being so reckless... "I'll lock the door,"
he agreed in a hoarse whisper. **Thank Faranth for proddy greens!**
