Description: Janani officially transfers to Dolphin Cove and is named to the Weyrwoman's Second position

N'vanik

N'vanik leaned forward in his chair. "So, I hear you're thinking of
transferring to Dolphin Cove."

Janani looked intently at the bronzerider. "I am," she replied. "When
we'd originally received word that you needed help training up the
younger queens, I'd only anticipated staying a short while. A few
weeks or months perhaps, but in the time I've been here, I've found
myself falling in love with Dolphin Cove. I've lived in many places
over the years, but something about this place feels like a _home_ to
me."

A smile crossed his face. He knew what she meant. "That's good, cause
I just happen to have a Weyrwoman's Second spot that needs filling."

Janani blinked and smiled at the Weyrleader. "Well, I hadn't expected
such an honor, N'vanik. I know most of your goldriders are young, but
I thought you and the Weyrwoman would choose one of your own." She
held up a hand to forstall any comments from him as she quickly
continued. "Of Course, Angdelouth and I would be most happy to
accept!" She beamed and found herself grinning like a fool. In all her
years as a goldrider, she hadn't been the one chosen as the
Weyrwoman's second, though both she and Angdelouth knew they deserved
it.

Janani leaned forward a bit as she looked N'vanik in the eye. "I am
here to serve, of course, but I can be quite a handful at times, or so
I've been told." She chuckled and added, "Of course, you would have
seen that already in the time I've been here." Truly she hadn't
harassed the young goldriders all _that_ much, just helped them to see
that she meant business. "I haven't seen much of the Weyrwoman lately.
Has she been informed of this decision?"

N'vanik nodded. "I suggested you should have the spot, and she agreed.
And I don't think you're a handful. I like people with a bit of
personality." He hadn't had a lot of interaction with her, but she
didn't seem as stuffy as most goldriders.

"You clearly haven't spent enough time around Angdelouth and myself if
you don't think we're a handful yet!" Janani chuckled a bit.
"Honestly, N'vanik, we are honored that you and Traelyn have chosen us
for this. I could go and speak with her, but I believe she is not in
the Weyr at the moment. As soon as she returns I will go see her. In
the meantime, how can I be of assistance to _my_ new Weyrleader."
Janani was pleased to know that Dolphin Cove would be her home now,
hopefully her last move. Hopefully this time, her Weyrwoman would not
be quite so stifling towards the other goldriders. For whatever reason
she had found herself not in the good graces of her previous
Weyrwoman.

The first thought to come to his mind was entirely inappropriate and
he cleared his throat to keep from laughing. "You can familiarize
yourself with the Wing formations and the roster, and other than that
you can start settling in."

"I will do that, N'vanik. I'm truly looking forward to my time here at
Dolphin Cove, now that I can finally say it's really my new home.
Angdelouth and I are at your service whenever you need us." Janani
liked the Weyrleader. He was much more pleasant to be around that some
of the bronzeriders she knew.

"We're happy to have you, Janani. We've needed a good goldrider to
take the 'Second position for a while now." They were still short
handed in other areas, but it kept getting a little better all the
time. With another clutch or two, they would be at the same strength
as most other Weyrs.

"Is there anything else, N'vanik?" She asked, not wanting to leave if
he had anything else to add.

He shook his head. "You can go. And if you need anything, let me know.
Oh, and welcome to Dolphin Cove -- officially." N'vanik smiled.
