Description: Jayonne's two siblings flirt with K'mai.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 13, day 12 of Turn 5
Okay! Okay!" Jayonne leaned back, a bit tired of hearing his
two proddy siblings walk about what boy they found cute and who was
good in bed and all that. He had to just about shout to make himself heard
over the loud dim of the evening crowd here in the dinning hall. He
grinned at the two of them, both of who looked a bit startled that he
had spoken up, and waggled a finger at them. "Okay you two, there's
the bet. The next guy I 'pick' and get to come over here, you two
have to try to get them to go off with you." When J'zen looked like
he was going to protest, Jayonne added, "now don't worry, I'll get a
blue rider."
"And what's the prize?" Jaylene asked, downing the remains of her
pint in one gulp.
"Besides my sanity?" Jayonne laughed. "Ah...for starters, a nice roll
in the furs. And a white wine I've got chilling in my dorm room," he
said when J'zen started to look rebellious. "That a deal?"
J'zen sighed and gave it a thought. His green was so far overdue for
her Flight he did feel like he was going to go mad. Grinning and
rolling his eyes at Jaylene, he said, "Okay, I'm in."
"Me too," Jaylene pipped in. She was always up for one of her baby
brother's pranks.
"Okay then!" Jayonne looked around the dinning hall, searching for a
likely victem. There was...no, not him, he prefered boys. Maybe that
fella over by the bar? No, no, he had a weyrmate. Out of the corner
of his eye he saw the tall figure of K'mai. Yes! He would be
perfect.
Standing up, he yelled, "K'mai! Hey K'mai!"
The bluerider raised an eyebrow and headed over to Jayonne. "You yelled for me?"
"Yeah, come join us! We've got more beer than we can all drink."
Jayonne grinned and patted the seat beside him. K'mai would be safest
closer to him than to his mad green riding siblings.
"Can't say no to that." K'mai took the offered seat and looked around the table.
Jayonne pored him a pint whilst the two green riders eyed him.
Jaylene wracked her brain but she couldn't ever remembering his Sebeth
ever catching her Reanth. He was easy on the eyes, she mused,
wondering why for the umteenth time why Reanth never got caught by
dragons who riders liked women, even the tiniest bit. J'zen,
meanwhile, remembered K'mai as a rider that was quickly dismissed in
his quest to find the perfect
weyrmate to spend the rest of his days with.
"Are these friends of yours?" K'mai asked Jayonne.
"Don't you ever mingle with green riders?" the young harper asked him,
mock exasperated. "These are my siblings!"
"You were one the Candidates when I was one too," Jaylene spoke up.
"Y'know...I used to have the worst crush on you back then!"
K'mai smiled. "You should have said something." He leaned toward
Jayonne. "Are you sure you want to introduce me to your siblings?" he
teased.
"Please, those two can fend for themselves! It's you I'd be more
worried about," Jayonne retorted.
K'mai put a hand to his chest. "Me?"
Jayonne didn't bother to answer that one but rolled his eyes to his
siblings, one of which was leaning forward to expose as much of her
bosom as she could and the other swallowing his pint in a suggestive
manner.
K'mai laughed and said in a false whisper. "I think your siblings are
trying to get my attention."
Jayonne snorted. "You only 'think'?" He laughed as both his siblings
shot him dirty looks.
K'mai smiled at Jayonne and J'zen. "I don't believe we've been
properly introduced. I'm K'mai, rider of blue Sebeth."
Jalene took the oppertunity to lean across her brother and cut off his
introduction. "I'm Jaylene, rider of green Reanth and this bum is my
brother J'zen, rider of that green lug, Verlith." The 'bum' in
question snorted and gave her a pinch where no one could see it. She
yelped and jumped.
"Well met." K'mai gave each of them an appraising look. "You're doing
wonders for my ego."
"Oh, I can stroke more than just your ego," J'zen said in his sexiest voice.
"You coming down with a cold?" laughed Jayonne whilst Jaylene rolled her eyes.
"Maybe it would be easier to have a ... conversation without your
siblings around," K'mai said to J'zen. "I know a few quiet places."
"Well then, lead the way." J'zen gave his sister a cheeky grin. She,
in turn, pinched him in exactly the same place that he had gotten her
a moment ago. The reaction was the same.
"Now, now. There's no reason to fight. There's plenty of me to go
around." K'mai considered inviting both of them back to his weyr, but
he didn't think that would go over well.
"Is that so?" Jaylene purred, leaning over to grab the mug of ale and
pore herself another pint. "Well, you only need to lead his boy," and
she nudged her brother, "to a dark corner to cop a feel and then come
back to better entertainment. What he has to offer won't take very
long, if you get my meaning."
"Oh, the sibling rivalry! I would be happy to judge which of you lasts
longer, or is more satisfying." **Why haven't you flown either of
their greens?** K'mai asked his dragon.
}:I don't know.:{ Which meant Sebeth didn't remember.
"Oh? Which one first?" J'zen asked. He was starting to have serious
second thoughts about this prank.
"You first."
"Okay then." He stood up, giving Jaylene a pat on the cheek. She, in
turn, gave him a mock punch.
Yes, K'mai thought. It was definitely best to deal with them one at a time.
Jaylene watched their retreating backs with no small annoyance. Giving her remaining brother a proper kick in the shins, she said, "okay, now you_really_owe me!"
