As the bronzerider rolled off her, Honalyse stared up at the ceiling,
slightly confused. How had they ended up on the floor again? And why
did it feel like she had rug burns on her knees? Oh well. It wouldn't
be the first time. Her head was spinning slightly from whiskey, and the
sex she had just had which wasn't wholly bad. What was it they had been
talking about before they started doing it on the couch?

U'das moved aside with content sigh, so he wouldn't be pressing on her.

Fuzzy memories started coming back. Whiskey. Flowers. Talking
about... Gertisia. "I can't believe that flat chested wherry-faced
bitch! How dare she blame _me_ for C'rig?!"

U'das groaned, last thing he wanted now was to hear her complain about
her wingmates.

Honalyse tried to stand up, but the room began to spin so she quickly
sat back down again. "I mean G'ton I can understand. I mean, it must
not have been pleasant to walk in on your friend straddling your father,
but he came to _me_! What was I supposed to do?"

U'das' wits weren't at their best just after sex. He propped himself up,
leaning against his elbows and just stared at her. Her words were a buzz
in his ears.

"I mean it's not like I was her _competition_ there, you know?" The
greenrider looked around, trying to figure out where that bottle went.
Ah, on the table! "And it's not like men don't do it all the time. I'm
sure you've screwed your daughter's friends. Shards, you've probably
screwed your _granddaughter's_ friends! Who cares, right?"

U'das just grunted. Shards, she talked too much!

"It's no reason to turn on someone you said would be your best friend
for life." With a mournful look Honalyse took a long swig directly from
the bottle. Holding it towards him she asked, "What some?"

"No, thank's," U'das replied. Was she really that self-centered or just
that drunk? Neither option felt very attractive to him at the moment. He
started to look for his clothes.

"I don't know why people don't like me," the greenrider said, slumping
down again with a thud. "I'm always nice to other people, and they
always turn on me. I go out of my way to me nice! What do I do wrong?"

"Maybe you should talk less and cut back drinking too?" U'das suggested.
He had managed to gather up all his clothes and started to dress. She
obviously wasn't in for cuddle afterwards.

"I always let people use me." Her face couldn't hide the disgust in
herself she was feeling right then. "I always give people whatever they
want, and as soon as they've had it, they're gone out of my life. It's
my fault, isn't it."

"You push them away," U'das said. She was certainly driving him away.

"But how?" she asked, looking up at him. "How can I push someone away
when I am always giving them what they want? I mean, I gave you what
you wanted. And don't think I haven't noticed that now it's done you're
picking up your clothes as fast as you can. I'm not so drunk I can't
see the signs."

U'das stopped his actions and sat on a chair, looking at her. "Do you
ever stop to listen what people around you want?" he asked. "As soon as
we finished, you launched into a tirade about your problems with your
wingmates. That's not very attractive to me," he said honestly.

"You got what you wanted. I don't think for one second you just wanted
to give me flowers because you think I'm a good person," she snorted.
"And what if what _I_ want in return for giving you what you want is
someone to sharding listen to me?"

"I did listen to you. You can't expect a man to be able to use his
brains just after sex," U'das replied.

"Yeah," she laughed softly, taking another swig. "They're just good at
using their feet."

"And another body part," U'das smirked.

"So what? You want me on my knees? You think if my mouth's full that
will shut me up and remind me that that's all it's good for any way?
Remind me that anything I have to say isn't important if it isn't dirty?
Well, it's good to know that holds true for men of any age. I was
stupid and thought they grew out of it." She shook her head, tired of
fighting with this man. Tired of talking to a wall. "Just go. You got
what you wanted. Go."

"All right, if you say so," U'das said, and pulled last of his clothes
on. He knew when he had used his welcome.
