Description: Sirjath's second mating flight has familiar winner and in general, goes much better.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 7, day 3 of Turn 5
Sirjath's second Mating flight was bit easier to Uetia to handle,
since now she knew what to expect. She felt still nervous when she
watched Sirjath's green shape grow smaller and smaller before
disappering to the clouds. She was followed by specs of blue, brown
and even bronze.
Sebeth was among them, as confident as ever. He streaked past the
bronzes and called out to the young green, flattering her. K'mai
happily surrendered his mind to his blue, feeling the strength of
dragon wings.
Sirjath led them around for a merry chase for some time before picking
up who she liked most.

"This is getting a habit," Uetia remarked when she woke up afterwards,
and opened her eyes to see who it was. Part of her was actually glad
it was K'mai, and not some total stranger.
K'mai cracked an eye open. "Hello, there." His voice was lazy and satisfied.
"Hello," Uetia replied. This time there was no flashback or other
violent reactions.
"No name calling this time?" He shifted a little so he could see her better.
"No. I think I'm handling this better this time. Practise probably,"
Uetia said with a shrug of her shoulders.
"That's good. Flights should be enjoyable." He brushed his fingers
along her arm.
"So I've been told," Uetia grunted.
"Oh, come on. Relax, Uetia." He slipped a hand around her waist.
She did try. She reminded herself it was not personal. Based on
K'mai's reputation, he liked everybody. Still it was difficult.
K'mai lifted one of her hands to his mouth and kissed each finger, one
by one. "No strings. No hurt. Just two friends, having a good time."
"I wish I could be that laid-back," Uetia complained and sighed wistfully.
"Try." He leaned over and touched his lips to hers.
Her first instinct was to pull away from that kiss. She forced herself
to respond to it instead. Uetia knew that if she learned to relax,
Sirjath's mating flights could be more pleasant to her. And who could
teach her better than K'mai. "Maybe you can teach me," she murmured.
"I would _love_ to teach you." K'mai would do his best to put her at
ease, to go slow if that's what she wanted. The dragon lust still
burned in him, and it had to be burning in her, too.
"I'll do my best to be a good student," Uetia said, feeling the lust
from Sirjath's Mating flight resurge in her blood.
K'mai pulled her into a long, deep kiss. He was going to give her as
many lessons as she needed.
