Fishing or drinking?

Description: J'an and U'das make plans and banter.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 9, day 4 of Turn 3

"U'das! How are you this fine day?" asked J'an.

"Just fabulous, how about you?" U'das answered.

"Ready for anything, well just about anything that won't involve a sore head tomorrow." J'an grinned, "After last time...."

U'das grinned. "But the girls were very nice," he said.

"Oh they were," the smile was knowing and conspiratorial. "But anyway, have you plans for later?"

"Nothing particular. I was planning to catch some fish, but I don't have any set date with them..." U'das replied. "What's on your mind?"

"A wineskin or two that I picked up, a game of poker maybe..."

"Sounds awfully tempting. Any pretty greenriders involved?"

"I'm sure we could find some, a couple of bronzeriders like us and they won't resist," teased J'an. "They may even know some interesting variants on the game."

"Now you definently got me interested" U'das replied with rised eyebrown. "I could see about some food as well."

"And what more man could ask from life? Food, wine, women, game of cards...." U'das remarked.

"Exactly, good company, conversation, entertainment, and no sore heads the following day!"

"You can't promise that," U'das waggled his finger warningly. "It all depends on the amount of wine you drink."

"I can try," replied J'an with a grin. "But it will depend on the food as well."

U'das just shrugged at that. "You know," he said thoughtfully, "Instead of drinking, we should go fishing one day, just two of us and our life-mates."

"That might be nice, I've never actually tried that before now. I'm sure Alylth would like the change, lazy old thing that he is."

}:I am _not_ lazy!:{ retorted the bronze, having decided to listen in.

**I know old friend, just teasing.**

"Zack's now well enough to leave the weyr, as long as we don't fly straight too long. I know few good fishing spots and some of them are close to the weyr" U'das told. You could hear from his voice that he really liked fishing.

"Sounds good to me."

"We can look for suitable day later" U'das grinned.

"I'd be happy to, so long as you don't tell anyone if I make a fool of myself trying to catch a fish."

"Don't worry, _I_ won't say a word. 'Can't promise for Zack though. He's as bad as green when juicy gossip goes."

}: A-hah-hah. Hear me laugh :{ the mentioned bronze commented bit sourly.

"So long as I don't fall in though..."

"Don't worry, I'll fish you out" U'das said and laughed at his own pun. J'an couldn't resist laughing at himself with that comment. The idea of having to be fished out... "Or catch an old boot."

"If you caught two, you would have matching set" U'das joked.

"Maybe I would," grinned J'an. Perhaps fishing was a better idea than drinking?
