Date: month 3, day 1 of Turn 4
Nistaja knocked briefly on J'mar's door and then closed her eyes, trying to prepare herself for whatever happened. He might slam the door in her face again. He might say something mean. He might not be alone...
**Shards, one stupid decision and two months of misery.**
But he didn't slam the door. There were no mean words. Instead, when the bluerider saw it was her standing there, he reached out and pulled her to him tightly. "Faranth's name, I was beginning to wonder if you really _did_ choose V'lorn."
"You threw me out of your weyr pretty angrily," she replied, her cheek pressed tight against his chest. "I didn't think you wanted me to come back."
"Shards, woman, of course I wanted you back," he whispered, kissing the top of her head. "Don't you know me better than that after all this time?"
"You didn't see your own face..." Her arms finally snuck around his waist as she slowly began to relax. "I made a stupid mistake, J'mar. How could you ever think I'd chose a mistake over you?"
J'mar wanted to point out that it wasn't just V'lorn that had come between them, but he didn't want to bring that up now. After so much silence, how could he bring up her moving in with him. It was enough that she actually _came_ to him. For now at least. "I was hurt and I was angry. You know I think stupid things when I'm angry."
"And I do stupid things when I'm drunk," she replied softly. "From now on, I think I'll only drink with you."
"And I'll try not to get so jealous." He could at least _try_.
Nistaja valued little in her life as much as the privacy of her personal space, and she knew that J'mar knew it. So when she pulled back and smiled up at him, she trusted he'd understand the gesture under the words she spoke. "Maybe you could come spent the night in my weyr tonight?"
"I would love to." He understood completely what she was offering him. "But I don't know if I can wait that long." J'mar smiled impishly. She couldn't help but laugh, though her time away from him had given her plenty of reason to want to do something more intimate. "I didn't say we had to go there _now_, bluerider..." Maybe he'd sweep her off her feet and everything could be lovely again. It was a nice thought, at least.
"Don't worry, we'll make it there eventually." He began gently pulling at the laces of her tunic. "But right now I think I want to work our way around this weyr before we work our way around yours."
"J'mar!" She laughed as she reached back to close his door. "I'm not feeling quite _that_ adventurous! Maybe we can have a little privacy before you have your wicked way with me."
"Don't worry, beautiful," he murmured against her lips, "I plan to take my time making love to you... and I'll save my more wicked imagination for later."
She leaned back against the door and pulled him with her, feeling as if things were finally going _right_ for once. Shards how she'd missed him, and the way he could make her feel as if she was beautiful just as she was. Maybe she _should_ consider giving up her weyr, and moving into his. But even the thought of giving up the space that was hers made her uncomfortable, even with his lips chasing thought away.
For now, maybe this would be enough for both of them.
