D'cal swung his leg over Aosorath's side. **Will you ask Tilarth if Dyaera's available?** he asked his blue as he reached out to scratch the eyeridge of her green lifemate.
}:She says she's sleeping with Serenth's rider.:{ Aosorath replied. His rhythmic scratches on the soft green eyeridge didn't miss a stroke, though inside he felt sick. So she had company. Right now. Well, he wouldn't disturb her. He remembered the last time he walked in and found her with another man. L'nar had convinced him to come back to his weyr for a little consolation. And after that sharding flight when the brownrider caught B'vin's green and Dyaera accused him of being ashamed of riding a blue, he ended up in L'nar's weyr again. More for revenge than consolation, but L'nar hadn't seemed to mind. He was pretty sure Dyaera didn't care either. Well, she could have her tumble with Serenth's rider. He didn't care. He just didn't care anymore...
**Wait... Serenth? _B'vin's_ Serenth?** Oh now _that_ was just too ironic! She accused D'cal of hiding his overwhelming need to fall into bed the greenrider, and yet look who ended up sleeping with Dyaera in the end. What, were they bosom buddies now? Was this a mutual D'cal-loathing meeting? Comparing notes on just how to best get the bluerider out of their weyr? He didn't care if she was asleep or not. It was obvious this unlikely pairing had something to do with him. Well, then, he might as well put in a little appearance at the party. It was in his honor, after all.

}:Aosorath's rider is here.:{ Dyaera groaned and tried to wiggle into a more comfortable position.
**I know. He's in bed with me.**
}:That is Serenth's rider.:{ "Wha--?" Dyaera's eyes popped open and she tried to struggle her way into an upright position in spite of the heavy arm wrapped around her. The world was still a little fuzzy around the edges, though she was starting to feel a dull ache in her head. "Oh, shards," she groaned, giving up and flopping back onto the bed with no regard for the man next to her. "What happened?"
Dyaera's movement had turned B'vin over onto his back but it took a moment for him to register that he was not in his bed... and that he wasn't alone. He froze while his mind tried to process what was going on and he grasped at the sparse memories of the night before. Drinking with Dyaera... drinking some more... drinking _a lot_ more... helping Dyaera to bed... He didn't actually remember deciding it was a good idea to fall asleep with the girl, but one rarely did in these situations. He wondered if he had done anything else he didn't remember, and then decided it would be his luck that the first time he ever actually had sex with a girl and could claim to be _normal_, he wouldn't remember it.
"I remember drinking." B'vin said finally in answer to her question. "Do you remember anything else?" "Drinking," she replied vaguely. Shards, maybe she was still drunk. That was the only explanation for how strange she still felt. **Where did you say D'cal was?** }:On the ledge.:{ "D'cal!" Her voice was rough from sleep still, but she managed a decent volume. "Are you standing out there?"
"I'm here," he called back, knowing full well it was Tilarth that alerted her rider to his presence. Well, let her know he was there. Let her know he knew _exactly_ who her new best friend was. "Is B'vin with you?" B'vin's eyes got very round when he heard D'cal's voice. Shards...
what was he doing here! He scrambled out of the bed and tried to use his hands to de-wrinkle his shirt. "Yeah... I'm here." he said a bit guiltily. This was going to uncomfortable _very_ fast. "Well," D'cal smiled sweetly as he walked into the bedroom. "Isn't this cozy. I didn't realize you two had become such good friends." "We're not!" B'vin said a bit too loud as a gave a quick glance to Dyaera, "It's not like that, we were just drinking..." Dyaera looked like she was finding everything very amusing. "Lots of drinking. Lots and lots of drinking." B'vin gave her another look and had to fight to keep from smacking her upside the head. She was _not_ helping anything. "I've known Dyaera has shared her bed with bronze, brown, and blueriders, but I have to say, green is a bit of a surprise." He looked at drunken, giggling Dyaera. "I suppose next it will be a gold.
You can make the run of all the colors then."
Dyaera rolled her eyes and flopped back on the bed. "Oh, come _on_. What are you even mad about? B'vin doesn't have sex with women, so it can't be that."
D'cal crossed his arms across his chest as he followed her with his eyes. "B'vin doesn't have sex with men either but you sure seemed convinced there was something going on between the two of us."
"What?" She turned to B'vin and gave him a puzzled look. "You don't like men?"
"Look, let's not make this about me now." B'vin began as he grabbed the boots he must have kicked off and began to slip them on. "D'cal, you obviously don't want to talk to me right now since you came looking for Dyaera, so I'm just going to leave and try to sleep off the worst of the upcoming hangover." "I don't want to talk to _you_?" D'cal asked with a sickening sweet smile. "I'm sorry, I seem to remember the last time I tried to talk to you, you kicked me out of your weyr. Was I _supposed_ to be looking for you now?"
"I..." B'vin wanted to argue but he snapped his mouth shut. D'cal had a point, _he_ had been the one to kick the bluerider out of his weyr. But he had been in a lot of pain, and it was so soon after the flight... D'cal should have understood that. If D'cal was such a good friend, then why didn't he try again? Why did he stay away when he knew that B'vin had needed him? "If I recall correctly, I wasn't the _only_ one to kick you out of their weyr. Yet here you are!" B'vin declared spreading his arms wide. "What?" Dyaera shot upright again, nearly knocking B'vin in the head with one arm. "I _never_ kick D'cal out! I make him angry and he storms out on his own! That's _not_ the same thing."
D'cal rolled his eyes. "Oh yes, you're right. You didn't kick me out.
You just _dismissed_ me like an errant weyrling. After accusing me of being secretly in love with B'vin and of being too ashamed to admit I like men."
The greenrider gave Dyaera an icy look before dropping back down to lace his boots. What was the girl thinking? It was bad enough to accuse _him_ of being in love with D'cal, but to accuse D'cal of the same thing! The girl must have sharding rocks for brains if she couldn't understand D'cal's devotion to her... B'vin stood up and brushed past D'cal as he headed for the door. "Like I said, I'm leaving. You too have a good time arguing with each other." "Awww, don't go!" Dyaera called after him, still feeling a little more tipsy than cautious. "D'cal will miss you!"
"Well, then, maybe I should just go _with_ him, then," D'cal growled as he turned to follow the greenrider to the door. Dyaera sighed and slumped back into her pillows. "So much for thinking the two of you might loosen up if there was a girl in bed with you. I never get to have any fun."
