Ç'pier

Ç'pier

V'tian had been thinking, and not quite certain how to continue, ever since T'lin had told him what C'pier had done, and some of that must have carried over. Indith's very next flight had been won by Calaroth, despite Yuliuth's competition.

And only now had the greenrider rallied.

**Indith... Ask Yuliuth if he and his rider want to join us at the Lake**, he thought.

The green relayed the message willingly.

A few short moments later, Ç'pier arrived on Yuliuth's back. He did not bother to ask what V'tian wanted. He had a feeling he knew.

"Good day," he greeted him with a grin.

"Hey." V'tian greeted. "How've you been? Sorry I haven't reached out in a while, you know how busy the Weyr can get."

Indith crooned a greeting to Yuliuth.

"You don't owe me anything. I came when you called, didn't I?" Ç'pier's grin broadened.

Yuliuth returned the croon and added a nuzzle for good measure.

Indith arched her neck and preened at the attention, pleased.

"You did." V'tian agreed, unable to _quite_ contain his own pleased expression. ".... Yuliuth almost had Indith, that last time." He added, and motioned for C'pier to come lounge on the rock near him.

A pause, and then he continued. "T'lin told me something. About you, I mean."

"T'lin?" Ç'pier wondered what T'lin could possibly have known about him that V'tian did not already know. "What did he say?" Faranth knew what he was about to learn about himself.

"He... said you attacked someone. Saedyna." V'tian responded. "That she almost... died."

Indith eyed C'pier, askance. }:If Yours ever hurts Mine, I would announce it to the entire Weyr.:{ She told Yuliuth. }:The firelizards bite.:{

}:He would not,:{ said Yuliuth.

"I thought you knew about that already," said Ç'pier. "That's the whole reason I had to repeat my training. And spend most of my free time earning marks to pay her reparations. I take it you want me to explain why I would do it?"

"I think Indith and I wouldn't mind hearing what you have to say." V'tian said loftily, watching him. "Though it needn't be right out here near the Lake." On his right shoulder, Radiance chirruped, and Sky poked his muzzle out of the sling long enough to chirp his response.

Ç'pier could not help but smirk just a little bit. V'tian had already decided to do what they were about to do. He just needed a little explanation to settle his stomach. Well, fortunately for Ç'pier, the actual explanation was just about as good of one as he could have invented.

"Your weyr or mine?"

"Mine." V'tian responded, just as loftily as before. "It's better decorated. Radiance and Sky have to have their perches."

Given that Ç'pier's weyr was ‘decorated’ like he was prepared to die tomorrow and leave nothing for anyone to clean up, he could hardly disagree about that. He chuckled.

"You don't have to justify it. You can have me wherever you want me. Come on. I'll tell you what happened."

}:I will lead the way.:{ Indith declared, and took off once V'tian was on her back again, flying the short distance back to her weyrledge.

Yuliuth followed Indith to her ledge and joined her once there was room. And then Ç'pier joined V'tian inside.

"You remember B'lyse, yes?"

Sky whistled, and flew to his favourite perch when they returned Home.

V'tian, for his part, elected to lean half against the near wall, Radiance draped across his shoulders like a gleaming scarf. "I do." He confirmed. "The deaf one."

"I put myself in debt to a rather unsavory person to get him as far away from his father as I could," said Ç'pier. "I thought I would handle everything, and I would pay off the debt, and it would all eventually just go away. Eventually, he told me to hurt Saedyna. I didn't know at first he would ask me to do something like that. But by then, I had already spent so long doing whatever he said, coming whenever he called...

"I didn't bother asking him why, he wouldn't have said. All I knew was, if I didn't obey him, he would hurt B'lyse. It was stupid of me not to go to N'vanik or R'lor for help, but at the time, I didn't believe they _could_ help me. I didn't know how many other people he might have had here that could hurt B'lyse if I didn't.

"Well, I don't know if it was because something inside me couldn't really do what he asked me to do, or if I just got lucky, but she didn't die. And I got caught. So I lost everything I wanted to protect anyway. Yuliuth was the only reason they didn't have me killed or exiled. And I've spent every free moment since then paying her to make up for it because they can't hurt me while he lives. And who knows how long I'll keep paying. Only N'vanik, I guess."

V'tian considered that, even as he coaxed Radiance down from his neck and into his arms, stroking golden hide. "Hmn." He said, slowly, and studied C'pier. "And now? Is that something you're honestly satisfied with?" He asked. "Never having marks to spend on yourself or Yuliuth? Or time to yourself?"

"Marks, I don't need anymore. They don't let Yuliuth truly want for anything. And I have time enough," said Ç'pier. "And satisfaction. I'm here, aren't I?"

"And what if you _wanted_--" V'tian started, then gave up. "Oh, fine, whatever." He muttered. "I suppose you _do_ always show up, when Indith asks Yuliuth where you are." He petted Radiance again, and the gold crooned softly.

Ç'pier chuckled.

"Were you hoping for more than that?" He already treated the greenrider like a little lordling in bed. What more could he want?

"What if I feel like I wantâ€"" V'tian started, then stopped. Made a face. "Oh, never _mind_." He muttered. "Radiance. Perch." He ordered, and the gold spread her wings, holding the pose a moment, before flying to said perch on a shelf and settling there.

"Are you sure?" Ç'pier might not have ordinarily pressed for more, but this whole... thing they had been doing had been built around him giving V'tian anything he demanded. Of course, so far, that had just been in a sexual sense. "What do you _need_?"

"... I don't know." V'tian muttered, then let out a long sigh. "Maybe I was just hoping for a trinket, or something, by now. If not for me then at least something for Radiance or Sky."

The blue chirruped at the mention of his name.

"A trinket?" Ç'pier was actually a bit surprised. He might have assumed it part of the game, but then why include the firelizards? That hardly seemed like a prelude to bedroom shenanigans. "What did you have in mind?"

V'tian just gave a sort of shrug. "I don't know. Something... fancy?" He drawled. "Yuliuth catches Indith more often than not, you know." He stepped closer, lifted his chin. "Who says Indith is the only one who gets to feel special?"

"Haven't I been making you feel special?" Ç'pier leaned toward V'tian and grinned.

"Hmn." V'tian responded, and eyed him for a moment before huffing amusement, smirking back. "... That you have." He allowed lightly. "It doesn’t hurt that Indith seems to favour Yuliuth, either."

"Flights are fun," Ç'pier agreed. "But it's just as fun when _you_ call me over. Even more fun, sometimes."

"It _is_." V'tian hummed, eyed him anew. "Maybe I should do it more often. I'm sure Indith wouldn't mind Yuliuth on her ledge."

}:I would not.:{ Indith agreed.

"Maybe you should." Ç'pier was absolutely tickled. This was going to turn out far better than he feared when V'tian first brought up Saedyna.

"Maybe I _will_." V'tian responded archly. "... All right. I'm bored now. Let's do something else."

"I have an idea..."
