The sudden surge of hunger and lust woke Lanniya from a deep sleep and
she sat upright with a gasp, blankets falling off of her. For a brief
moment, she thought that perhaps K'ale had been starting something to
wake her, but he slept soundly next to her. She turned her gaze to the
ledge, then jumped up, tugging on her robe to cover her nudity.

Rushing out, she found Anaeryth just waking and glowing like an ember,
the just opening eyes whirling with deep purples and reds. It was too
soon. Far too soon. Anaeryth wasn't supposed to rise for at least
three or four more months! As the whirling eyes opened wider, Lanniya
was hit with another savage bolt of lust that nearly dropped her to
her knees . "K'ale!"

She didn't have time to explain or even to dress. Anaeryth roared her
intentions and burst out of her weyr. Hurriedly slipping on her shoes,
Lanniya raced out of of her weyr, flying down the stairs and directly
towards the feeding pens. F'lin, she had to let F'lin know! Before
Anaeryth could read the pens, she closed her eyes and send a desperate
searching thought towards Seneth. She couldn't reach him, so
straining, sought Liddith and was quickly and rather abruptly informed
that they fought Thread. Lanniya's face paled. She had wanted F'lin
here.

She didn't have time to think about it; Anaeryth had already brought
down the first herdbeast. It was a battle just as it had been before
when Anaeryth had risen. The three bovines that Anaeryth chose were
enough to send her aloft, bugling to the gathered males to chase her.

Mnoranth waited almost trembling with anticipation }:She flies, I chase!:{

R'enh blinked, he kind of knew from Saibra when golds were due and
Anareyth wasn't due for some time. Nonetheless, he trotted down to the
flight rooms and stepped into the group of riders gathering around
Lanniya.

Haloths brassy bugle challenged the other males as well. He'd won gold
flights and fathered many dragons. He knew his worth and intended to
win the glowing prize in front of him.

N'call arrived shortly after and smiled at Lanniya.

K'ale watched the bronzeriders around him and took a deep breath
lifting his chin. His chances were slim and he knew it. But Imalkyth
had also won Gold before so he knew it was possible. He winked at his
weyrmate.

Lanniya smiled quickly at K'ale, exhaled and focused on Anaeryth,
letting the mating urge of her gold wash over her. As Anaeryth flew
high, enticing her chasers, Lanniya let her robe slip off of her
shoulders, allowing it fall in a small heap around her feet.

Anaeryth peered at those chasing her and taunted them with flips of
her tail. They were many and she had her choice of prime males. But
they had to catch her first!

Imalkyth was faster than the bronzes around him and after her like an
arrow from a crossbow. He was ahead of the bronzes but not by much and
knew he had to conserve his strength.

Mnoranth was experienced, strong, brilliantly hued and in his prime.
He boomed his appreciation for the glowing creature they all chased
and made certain he stayed on the edge of the pack.

Haloth stayed close to the brown leader knowing he would flag first
and then he would be in the best position to snare the young gold. He
praised her great beauty and the strength of his eggs.

N'call appreciated the sight of the flame-haired rider before his own
mind also merged with his dragons.

The pack of dragons chasing her were forgotten for a long while as
Anaeryth simply to reveled in the feeling of the flight, and she rose
higher, straining to fly as high as she could where the air was
thinner. In the cold air, she remembered the ones behind her and
glanced under her wing at them. Fine beasts, all of them, and their
eyes were all on her. Imalkyth she adored, as always, but her eyes
slid past him to rest on two bronzes that drew her attention. There
were of course other, younger bronzes, and even one that was much
older than she, but those two...they were in their prime and
experienced. They would make the best mates. She banked quickly,
turning to swing past the group of chasers and from the edge of the
group, she felt a wing tangle against hers and strong talons grasp at
her. At first she struggled, but then crooned as Mnoranth twined his
neck and tail with her own. Pleasure burst around her then and she
spread her wings, catching the air to begin the long spiral downwards.

Lanniya groaned, reached blindly as Anaeryth was caught and found
Mnoranth's rider in her arms.

R'enh triumphantly picked up the gold rider and carried her into the
nearby room even as his lifemate fell from the sky entwined with hers.

N'call turned into the waiting arms of a nearby flight moth.

Imalkyth had returned to their weyr too exhausted to continue the
flight before Mnoranth stole the prize. And K'ale too had turned to
waiting arms.
