G'nir

G'nir

**Upinth, ask Nirreth if his rider is in his office and if he's
alone.** Rorela strode purposefully down the hallway, bypassing
several of the new weyrlings as they made their way outside for their
evening freetime. Some were taller than her, but her knots made
passage a bit easier as they were noticed and moved aside.

}: Nirreth says he is twice. :{

**Good.** Now filled with determination, she strode towards the
office. He was not going to ignore or avoid her anymore, flame it. As
she approached, there was a part of her mind that encouraged kicking
in the door; the thought brought a smile, but instead of doing so,
she knocked, waited only a moment, then strode in and just as quickly
shut the door behind her.

Without saying a word, or even waiting for him to greet or question
her, she walked around his desk, used her hip to push the heavy thing
back, the promptly sat on the man's lap, facing him. "Hello."

"Rorela?" G'nir had expected a weyrling with problems or maybe one of
his staff members, not her. Not that he minded seeing her. His arms
wrapped themselves around her waist.

Both of her brows rose as his arms went around her waist. She slowly
poked his chest. "You've been ignoring me, G'nir." Her chin lifted as
she directly met his gaze. "I'm not your Wingthird any more. There's
nothing improper about seeing me and the cookie thing was months ago."
Her arms crossed over her chest. "So why am I having to chase you
again?"

"Because I've been busy with the weyrlings," G'nir's tone was
surprisingly meek. Now that she was there, he did wonder that too, why
had he been ignoring her? It hadn't been his intention, life just
happened. "I never meant to ignore you. Time just passed by faster
than I noticed."

Her eyes narrowed and she gave an annoyed sniff. "Well, this is the
absolutely last ever time I'm going to chase you down. I've been
chasing you for turns, bronze man. And now that I've finally got your
attention, I want to keep it, but not if you don't want mine."

"I do want to keep your attention, Rorela," G'nir assured and to prove
his point, leaned to kiss her.

She gave him a brief kiss, brushing her lips against his. "Prove it."

"Right now?" G'nir raised his eyebrows and his voice held a challenge.

She stared directly at him, answering his challenge. "Can you? I don't
think you can, G'nir. " Deliberately goading him, she glanced around
his office. "Far too improper."

"Oh?" now, there was a challenge he couldn't resist. He lifted her up
so she was sitting on his desk instead of his lap. Then he started to
kiss her with serious intention. His hands found their way under her
shirt.

She smiled against his mouth, pleased. A turn ago, he probably would
never have done this, especially in his office of all places. Maybe
she was having a corrupting influence on him after all! The warm hands
on her made her quiver, and she was about to return the favor, when a
soft knock at the door made her stop. Rorela groaned, pulling her
mouth from his. "Fardles," she looked over her shoulder, then back at
G'nir. Her fingers deliberately tugged at the buckle of his belt,
flicking it open. "Whatcha gonna do?"

"Not now, come back later!" G'nir told whoever it was knocking the
door. He was too busy to try to roll up her shirt from her. Pile of
hides fell to the floor and he didn't care.

Rorela grinned, tugging his belt free and tossing it to the side.
"About time." She helped him with her tunic, stripping it off to toss
it in the other direction. She crooked her finger at him in a
beckoning gesture, scooting back on the desk. "Come get me,
dragonman."

"Yes, my lady," G'nir growled huskily. His own tunic fell to the floor
and trousers soon followed. Then he gave her his full attention. The
inkwell was tipped over but he didn't even notice it.

The satisfied smile that pulled her lips up was just a little smug.
Rorela drew her fingers through the damp hair at G'nir's nape as she
lay back on his desk. "I think we messed up your hidework."

"Yes, and you have ink stain in rather interesting place," G'nir
replied and only now noticed it. He looked down. "So do I," he
chuckled.

She craned her head to peer down and laughed softly, not regretting
the stain for an instant. "That'll be hard to wash off, won't it?" Her
grin widened. " I'd say that I was a horrible influence on you, but I
think you actually like it." She slid her thigh playfully along his
side. "You need a bad influence every now and then. "

"It will fade off with time," G'nir replied. "And you're right, I
needed it badly. Apparently, I've been so prudent that brownriders are
starting to give me dating advices."

Enjoying the warmth and the weight of him, she let her fingers trail
over his shoulders in languid strokes. "Really? Faranth forbid." She
grinned. "Well, some of them are rather attractive and do get their
share of girls." Rorela sighed with pure, sated contentment. "I
know how you can shut them up, you know."

"Mmh," G'nir replied lazily. "The guestion is if I should bother."

"Good point. But we could spend time together in public if you want. "

"Food right now wouldn't be a bad idea," G'nir suggested. He had used
up rather lot of energy.

She patted his shoulder. "Okay then, but bath first. Then food." She
kissed him lightly, then wiggled. " Up. We have to find our clothes
and get dressed before we completely scandalize your weyrlings."

"My weyr happens to have a bathpool," G'nir said and started to
collect their discarded clothes.

"Oh, I remember." She grinned, plucking her trousers from him and
sliding them on. She searched for her tunic, then found it thrown over
his chair. "Whenever you're ready."
