Jeyme

It was late by the time D'hol returned to his weyr and the candles had
been dimmed. He moved quietly, laying his boots by the wall and
yawned. Yumath hadn't wanted to be separated from his new gold
paramour any longer than necessary, despite drills or formations. As
soon as he had dropped D'hol off at their weyr, he had winged back to
dote on the her. It made for long days away.

He looked up after he ran a hand through his hair and spotted Jeyme,
sitting up in the bed. "Did I wake you?"

"No, I was up." She said, snaking her arm behind her as she ran her
hand up her shirt and tentatively scratched around the still newly
healed score. The skin there was finally a light pink, but still
itching.

"Stop that." He scolded lightly. He walked towards the bed, picking up
a jar of ointment. "Turn around and I'll put some salve on. Scratching
it will only make it worse."

Jeyme turned her back to him, reaching up to pull her shirt up and
expose her back. Salve sounded good, anything to soothe the irritating
itch. "Thanks."

Dipping his fingers into the salve, he spread a thin layer over the
healing score. "Back scores are the hardest, I think. They're hard to
reach and they itch like nothing else."

"Kapera didn't seem to think it was that big of deal. She's never been
scored either." It was difficult trying to put numbweed on herself.

"That's just it, she's never been scored." D'hol murmured as he
finished wiping the ointment in. "I have." His face twitched a little
around his own scar. "In the Queen's Wing, you have less of a chance
to be. Usually." He bent to kiss her shoulder lightly, then rested his
chin lightly on her. "How is Quinneth doing with Yumath being with
Riyanth?"

Jeyme shivered a little at the contact of his lips, "Oh, she was a
little fussy at first but like the green she is, she's all but
forgotten what she was miffed about."

He chuckled softly. "And you? Until those eggs hatch, I'll be helping
Kapera if she needs me to." He kissed her shoulder again.

"It's your duty, besides, I am very proud that my weyrmate had the
best dragon in the air that day." She gave him a saucy grin over her
shoulder.

His brows arched. She'd not been a fan of Yumath chasing Cyradis, but
then again, he had no history with Kapera. He returned her smile and
wrapped his arm around her, tugging her back against him. "Good. "

"I didn't realize how much work being the sire of a clutch was." She admitted.

"Sometimes it's not," he admitted. "Some goldriders don't want any
help and some do. It all depends on the rider. Sometimes, you're only
there for the Flight, the clutching and then the Hatching. Sometimes,
you're there all the time."

"I am a little surprised, I guess Kapera strikes me as the independent
type." Jeyme said.

"I'm sure she is. And she may be. It'll be up to her as to how much
she'd like from me."

"Quinneth said she would want you and Yumath around all the time if
she had a clutch." Jeyme chuckled at her dragon.

He chuckled along with her. "He's around her all the time, just not
now." D'hol leaned to kiss her cheek. "And as soon as they hatch,
things will be back to normal."

"I'm glad," she turned, wrapping her legs around him, "I miss you."

Settling her in his lap, he patted her bottom. "I know you do, you
little minx." He kissed her chin, then her lower lip. "How was Dheymin
today?"

"Good, a little fussy with some new teeth coming in." Jeyme had never
been so grateful to have a foster mother for Dheymin than when he was
teething.

"I'll have to stop by tomorrow evening and see him, unless you'll have
him here." He massaged her lower back with experienced hands.

"I can have him here if you want, I'm still on light duty with the
Wing anyway." Jeyme said, smoothing her hands over his shoulders.

D'hol nodded. "That sounds good." He kissed her lip again and patted
her bottom. "You're not tired?" His eyes gleamed. "I could get you
tired."

Jeyme's lips spread into a smile as her fingers went to the buttons on
D'hol's tunic, "Mhm, my favorite kind of tired."

While she undid his shirt, D'hol slid her own up her back, his fingers
tickling along her spine, then around to cup the soft mounds that were
offered to him. "Mmhmm." He had come in tired, but Jeyme's willingness
awoke him enough that he was willing to wait for sleep.

Pushing his tunic over his shoulders, Jeyme nibbled along the curve of
his neck now that it was exposed, right to the spot that she knew he
liked.

He gave a throaty murmur of appreciation and threw off the tunic that
she had slid off of his shoulder. With a curl of his lips, he laid
back, setting her to straddle him even as his fingers danced over the
tips of her breasts. "Nice view..."

"It's about to get better." Jeyme promised as she leaned over him, her
fingers going to the buckle of his belt...
