Teseada

" Teseada," The bronzerider smiled upon greeting the young goldrider. "How is beautiful Onnyth today?"

"She's wonderful," replied the girl. And truly the gold was looking stunning. Teseada had spent the past candlemark oiling the growing gold.

"I can see why Xmrenth is so intrested in her, she's growing fast."

"Almost too fast," said Teseada rather self consciously. It was beginning to hit her that Onnyth really was growing up, and that meant there would be real responsibilities beyond those of training soon.

"Don't worry just yet Teseada. You've got a while yet, and you'll do fine."

"That's what my Pa said."

"He's right, I know him pretty well, we're wingmates."

"Oh, of course," she said noticing the knots on the bronzerider's shoulder.
"You're K'lvin, right?"

"Yes, I am. How old is she now?"

"Almost four months."

"Already? Of course, sometimes it feels like Xmrenth just hatched."

"She's never going to feel like that, she says. She says that she will fly all over Pern, once she's able."

"I'm sure she will, she'll be a big beautiful gold in no time." he smiled fondly at the young gold.

"A big show off you mean," replied Teseada looking fondly at Onnyth. The gold was now almost asleep, but she turned one sleepy eye on both riders.

}:Am not a show off,:{ she half protested, but the dragons's mental tone showed the nearnesss of sleep.

Xmrenth passed on the young dragons protest. K'lvin laughed. "They all think that."

"That's what Pa told me Shoglenth said at the same age."

"Even may parents dragon used to claim that they didn't show off, my mothers green in particualr and that was long before thread began falling agian."

Teseada smiled at the thought. "I should really get back and get changed, I have more classes this afternoon."

"Of course, I should probbably do some studying of my own" he joked. "Wing formations at least. Have a good day Testada, beautiful Onnyth."

"We'll try," replied the girl.

The gold opened one sleepy eye, regarding the bronzerider for a moment. }:I think I like him, if he thinks I am beautiful.:{
