Cyradis

Cyradis
N'vanik

N'vanik

She'd danced enough with several partners that when they're dance had
ended, she was ready to leave the party with N'vanik and take the
short walk to the main hold where rooms had been prepared for them.

She didn't have a drudge or ladies maid to help get her out of her
dress but she had no doubt N'vanik could figure it out. She imagined
he'd undressed a few ladies in his day.

She smiled after entering the suite that had been prepared for the
Weyrleaders. Sometimes it seemed a bit silly but they all seemed to
assume at an event like this one that she and her Weyrleader were a
'couple.' Well perhaps that was a good thing as far as tonight was
concerned. Neither of them would have to walk through halls to find
the other.

"This is nice," she said once she'd pushed open the doors to the bedroom.

"Good to know the Lord Holder still respects us. Or at least wants to
keep up appearances." N'vanik's tone was amused. The song he'd
commissioned, and the whole evening really, had put him in a good
mood.

"It is," she smiled and placed her mask on the sideboard as she
reached for the carafe of wine. "Would you like some?" Her thoughts
trailed along much the same vein as N'vanik's though she didn't know
it.

"I think I've had enough." He set his own mask down and came up behind
her, wrapping an arm around her waist. "I don't want to be drunk when
I enjoy you." N'vanik's lips brushed the side of her neck.

She leaned her head to the side to grant him more access and chuckled
softly as she put her own glass down. Her body tightened reacting to
his embrace, partly as she was in a very receptive mood. "Mmhmm," she
mused and her hand rose to the side of his face. "Help me out of this
dress?"

N'vanik stepped away and looked it over. "You had to wear something
complicated, didn't you?" he teased.

"A necessary sacrifice for the sake of fashion," she winked. "Think
you're up to the task?" The double meaning was intentional as her eyes
raked him pausing briefly at his belt line.

"Never doubt that." He began working at the fastenings of her dress.

Cyradis chuckled as she felt the lacing loosen at her back. It would
certainly have been far more of a struggle for her to pull them off
besides his fingers were warm where they touched her skin. It sent a
tiny shiver up her back. "I doubt you ever fail at a challenge."

It was only meant as a joke, but the words still scraped against his
insecurity. "I've failed lots of times, but hopefully most of that is
behind me." His fingers kept moving, slowly freeing her.

As the last lace came loose and her bodice fell free, she bent to step
out of the garment leaving a pool on the floor. Filmy underthings and
stockings were all that remained as she turned to him. "You haven't
failed at Weyrleader N'vanik," she said with full compassion. "I'm
sure its behind you."

But he was quite distracted, gaze sliding over her body. "Maybe you
can leave those on."

She reached for the buttons on his shirt as the lips curved into a
sultry smile. "Oh I'm sure you'll have them off at some point soon."

"Eventually." He moved to shrug out of his jacket and shirt, then bent
to claim a kiss from his Weyrwoman.

She molded herself into his embrace as he took possession of her lips
and knew from that first touch that she would enjoy this very much. No
matter her reasons or the fact her heart lay elsewhere, there was
something almost elemental in his touch. "Mmmm," she responded and her
body echoed.

He guided her toward the bed, slipping out of his trousers and boots
on the way. Laying Cyradis down, he kissed along all the skin not
covered by the barely-there undergarments. "I'm glad you came to
Dolphin Cove. And I'm glad you stayed."

She smiled at the statement that was so much different than the way
they'd started. "I'm glad too," she said in a throaty contralto and
her body reacted to his soft kisses by puckering her nipples against
the sheer fabric of her slip. She turned her body to give him better
access and kissed the side of his neck.

He made a low sound of appreciation and cupped one of her breasts,
thumb teasing against the peak. This was no Flight and he planned to
take his time. With a mixture of amusement and pleasure, he realized
this would be his first night with Cyradis.

Her hands curved around his back and she ran her nails lightly over it
then she pulled him lightly toward her to tell him wordlessly she
wanted another of those wonderful kisses.

He licked her bottom lip before sliding his tongue into her mouth.
This time the kiss was deeper and more demanding.

Desire coiled inside her as he began to unravel her senses. Her tongue
dueled with his and then she let out a small moan of pleasure and
moved beneath him. "N'vanik," she breathed.

With no dragonlust between them, this was a different experience. Even
though they didn't share any romantic feelings, a man did like to feel
_wanted_. "I like you saying my name."

She sucked in a breath reacting to his touch and then repeated his
name again, voice husky with passion. "N'vanik..." she said.

Cyradis as bedmate was much like Cyradis as a dance partner -- letting him
lead, but not passive. Vibrant and graceful.

For her, It was bright and electric and close to that kind of feeling they had
when their lifemates danced. She flew like Panitath higher and higher
until she could only hold on and know he would bring them safely to
the ground.

"Cyradis ... Cyradis..." He chanted her name.

For a while he simply breathed. After a moment he trailed soft kisses
up her neck, tasting the cooling sweat on her skin. "Um, I might've
done some damage to your underwear."
