Saibra

Since the hatching, Saibra had been on his mind and Mnoranth knew it.
So he communicated with Chioneth to help ease his rider's concerns.

}:Lovely Chioneth, mine is thinking much on yours. He is concerned
that she isn't happy.:{

Chioneth was quiet for a long moment, thinking on the bronze dragon's
question, and how best to answer it. She knew that Saibra sometimes
got upset with her for sharing details, but this was Mnoranth, and
Mnoranth's rider always seemed to be an exception when it came to the
queenrider.

}:She is not happy, often. Sometimes it is better than others.
Recently she has not been pleased.:{ Chioneth settled for saying.

}:Would she like mine to surprise her, would that help?:{ Mnoranth
knew his would like visits with Chioneth's as he had in the past. It
seemed to be his desire and the big bronze wouldn't mind a bit of time
with the beautiful queen either.

Chioneth quietly searched her rider's feelings without letting-on to
Saibra what was up, }:I think that sounds like a perfect plan. When
you get here you and I can go and soak in the warm water in the Winter
Lake.:{

}:Chioneths says you should visit hers.:{

R'enh perked up at that **She does?** he confirmed but went to the
mirror to make sure he was groomed for such a visit and then to his
crafting bench to pick up a pair of earrings he'd made recently.
**She'll like these,** he thought. Then he got ready and was on
Mnoranth's back before he could rethink.

Saibra was just leaving the Headwoman's office, wrapped tightly in a
thick sweater, and a pair of fleece-lined leather riding breeches,
when the sound of the watchdragon's welcome blasted through the skies.
It was a common enough sound and the Weyrwoman thought little of it as
she passed through the Weyrbowl, intent on grabbing a quick, hot cup
of klah from the Dining Cavern before retreating back to her weyr.

As soon as she stepped through the entrance of the cavern a drudge
noticed her and scurried over, "Can I get you something, milady?"

"Hot klah, please, no sweetener."

In a matter of minutes the drudge returned to Saibra with a steaming
mug of klah, complete with a lid snapped over the top. "Thank you,
Myrella."

The drudge blushed, clearly surprised that the Weyrwoman knew her
name, "Of course, milady."

Stepping back out into the Weyrbowl, the wind whipped at her hair,
which was uncharacteristically running freely over her shoulders and
down her back.

}:I have a surprise for you.:{ Chioneth's voice was rich with excitement.

**Oh you do?** Saibra was intrigued as she pushed open the door to her weyr.

When she looked up the last person she had expected to see stood
before, looking beautifully tan, and as handsome as ever. "R'enh!"

"Hello beautiful," he said with a very feral smile. "I thought I'd
come by and see if I could brighten your day."

"You have succeeded already." Saibra said, setting her klah on the
table as she passed by it on her way to R'enh. "I can't believe you
are here." She breathed with a smile as she wrapped her arms around
him in a hug.

He chuckled gently and wrapped his own arms around her. "It seems our
dragons are conspiring," he said and kissed her.

Saibra returned his kiss and grinned up at him. "I like it when they
conspire like this."

"Mmm," he deepened the kiss and began an assault on her senses. When he
finally pulled away his eyes reflected their shared passion. "It is an
advantage, them knowing us so well." He shook his head "Saibra," he
ground out and changing his grip when in for another round.

It was always like this with R'enh, a passionate urgency, especially
when they'd been apart for a while. Grabbing the lapels of his riding
jacket, Saibra pulled him down with her to the nearest comfortable
spot, which happened to be the couch, her hot cup of klah on the table
abandoned.

~*~

"That was a nice hello." Saibra commented as she sipped on her
lukewarm klah, having rescued it and returned to cuddle in beside of
R'enh on the couch.

"Oh I'll have another nice hello for you in a little bit," he
murmured. He couldn't seem to get enough of her and that was a
difference in his experience. R'enh had a great deal of experience
with women and he felt warmly toward them all but this was a bit
different.

"You should drop by unexpectedly more often." She mused, the corners
of her mouth still raised in a little smirk as she brought the cup of
klah to her lips again.

}:This was a good idea. My rider feels very happy. The happiest I can
remember in quite some time.:{ Chioneth told Mnoranth.

"I'll consider that an invitation then," he grinned and tightened his
arms around her for a moment. Then he remembered the earrings. "Oh,"
he said letting go of her and diving for his trousers. "I've got
something for you."

}:Mine is too,:{ Mnoranth said as he nuzzled the lovely queen. }:He
feels much good things for yours.:{

R'enh straightened and held up a pair of turquoise earrings in beaten
silver settings.

Saibra's eyes lit as she set her klakh down and snatched up the
earrings for closer inspection. "R'enh, they're beautiful!" She held
them up between her fingers, letting them dangle, and causing the
turquoise gems to catch the light.

"How did you know that turquoise is my favorite color?" There was a
rumble. "I mean, besides gold, clearly." The Weyrwoman amended with a sly wink.

"Lucky guess," he admitted truthfully. "I just thought they would look
good on you. See here?" He turned one of them over and on the back was
a tiny RM engraved. "My mark," he smiled. "I made them for you."

Saibra's eyebrows lifted as she studied the little "RM" on the back.
"You _made_ them?" That he would take the time and had obviously been
thinking of her while they were apart left Saibra feeling humbled and
cherished.

"I'll wear them all the time." She leaned in and kissed him.

"I'll make you more," he grinned and flared his eyes as they broke the
kiss. "Hello again."
