Walking through the crowds, Rhosyn held her head high though with her
short stature it didn't help much. At least people parted way for her.
Her recognizable hair color and features tended to make sure people
knew who she was without knot checking. Besides, she had River Bluff's
badge sewn on the front of the dress' bodice. The colors complimented
her own, thank Faranth. She kept her arm wrapped around the male
appendage currently keeping her interest and keeping her grounded in
the sea of faces. **He was a good choice.** She followed him since
they were making their way to say hello to their hosts as was proper.
Leave it to Rhosyn to be proper while on the arm of a notorious bluerider.

"Is this what being Weyrleader feels like?" K'mai whispered. "Minus
the work part, of course." He was getting a lot of attention and he
liked it.

G'nir didn't recognize the rider escorting River Bluff's Weyrwoman.
He could read the knots though. ** A bluerider? Where's K'sedel?**

Even though it was Teseada's gold who was the mother of the newly
hatched dragonets, Saibra was, of course, present in her capacity as
Senior Weyrwoman and greeting guests from other Weyrs. It seemed that
she spotted the River Bluff Weyrwoman around the same time as G'nir,
because when she looked up at the man's face she was sure that it was
the same surprised expression that she wore.

**Where is K'sedel?** She glanced around, wondering perhaps if the
River Bluff Weyrleader was mingling with other guests.

"It does. Of course people are more than curious about you and who you
are. By tomorrow you'll be the father of my next baby." She chuckled under
her breath and saw the Dragonsfall Weyrleaders within sight. Not missing
the expression they held, Rhosyn approached them easily. "My duty to you
both. A good Hatching, G'nir. And Saibra-more important-good food. Tell your
cook well done. This is K'mai, one of our wingriders. K'mai-this is G'nir
and
Saibra of Dragonsfall." She let the bluerider handle the rest of his
own introduction, knowing it wasn't everyday something like this happened.

K'mai offered his hand. "A pleasure to meet you both and my duty to
your dragons." To be honest he was just the tiniest bit intimidated.

"Welcome to the Dragonsfall Weyr, K'mai. I'm glad you're enjoying the
Hatching, Rhosyn," G'nir's reply was bit stiff. He shook the
bluerider's hand without hesitation.

Saibra's smile was warm as she took K'mai's hand after it had been
released by the Dragonsfall Weyrleader, "A pleasure to meet you
K'mai." Her blue eyes turned to the River Bluff Weyrwoman, "Rhosyn,
where is K'sedel?" She glanced about for signs of the older Weyrleader.

"He's home. He has a weyrmate and children and all that." She shrugged.
Sometimes they didn't both make it to every Hatching. Sometimes they sent
Lenala in their place. K'sedel had been without Rhosyn during her pregnancy
and she had been without him when he'd had things to do.

"I see," G'nir said. "And you couldn't find another bronzerider as an
escort?" he murmured, mostly to himself. ** Or didn't want to.**

"It's nice to have a bit of variety, sir." K'mai winked at the
Weyrleader. Pity the handsome older man rode bronze. And Saibra...
they certainly made a striking pair. A fantasy of sharing a bed with
both of them flickered through his mind. Ah, no... all three. Rhosyn
should definitely be included.

"Ah, well, I hope you enjoy the Feast," G'nir said politely. "You
learn to expect the unexpected from Rhosyn," G'nir gave her a smile.
She wasn't the traditional Weyrwoman and he was suddenly grateful she
wasn't his Weyrwoman.

Saibra found a Weyrleader staying home because he had "children" to be
a peculiar excuse since a dragonman's duties always came before
family, especially since the Weyrs were so good about fostering
children for that exact purpose. **Maybe there's something up between
Rhosyn and K'sedel. The old man's bronze must be good to keep catching
a gold who probably doesn't like him.**

"It was very nice meeting you K'mai, I hope you will enjoy yourself
tonight." She smiled, before sweeping her eyes back over to the River
Bluff Weyrwoman. "And Rhosyn, thank you for coming. Please let me know
if you require anything while you are here."

She nodded, well aware by G'nir's question what he probably thought. She'd
expected that from the traditional Weyrleader. As it was, she'd chosen K'mai
for almost that purpose besides the other reason. Her bluerider's reply made
her smile. **He's clever** "Of course." Knowing a dismissal when she heard
one, Rhosyn was glad she was done with that duty. Now she could get on to
better things-like dancing. Leading K'mai away from the Weyrleaders, she
eyed
the dance floor. "Have you had enough to drink? Cause you're going to be
thirsty
when we're done."

"I could take that so many ways." He laughed as they made their way
through the crowd.
