N'klar

N'klar

A lovely, if cold, restday afternoon it was, and N'klar had decided to join a group of blues and greens and their riders down at the water's edge. He was just glad it wasn't snowing for once! Wearing next to nothing since he was about to be bathing his dragon, he sent Julerith into the water to play and was getting ready to follow when he passed a particularly tempting backside. Pausing to get a mischievious grin on his face, he took some wet sand and tossed it all over what turned out to be E'naer's back. Laughing, N'klar darted off into the water to hide from the wrath
of his greenrider friend.

"N'kllaarr!" the greenrider growled, trying to brush the wet sand from his back. "If I want a skin peeling, I'll ask!"

From a safe distance away, N'klar yelled back. "Then don't display such an attractive backside around starving blue and greenriders, E'naer!"

His laughter was overflowing and just increased as Julerith made a comment about flirting. Ignoring the blue, he taunted E'naer again. "Come and get me, greenrider!"

"Oh, I'll get you!" E'naer threatened and followed the bluerider into the water. Inside he was quite a pleased about the comment concerning his backside.

N'klar and E'naer were soon engaged in a very entertaining water fight that would have them both shivering before too long... but it was fun! N'klar dunked under his blue's wing, and came out splashing water right at the greenrider, much to Julerith's dismay.

}:Its cold! Hurry up and bathe me!:{ He complained, getting N'klar's fist on his side in answer.

***But its not snowing!!***

"You're as bad as any weyrling!" E'naer yelled, forgetting that he wasn't exactly presenting a dignified example himself.

Eillispeth was watching the spectacle from the beach. She was already washed and was drying herself.

"Takes one to know one!" N'klar yelled back, then swam closer with another big splash before he started to shiver. "Besides, you're the one keeping company with Weyrlings these days. You need some real, adult attention!" he said with a grin.

E'naer made a big show of looking around him. "Where do you find that adult attention?" Then he realized his teeths were clattering. "Maybe we should get up before we freeze to death? You happen to have mulled wine around?"

N'klar made a face at him. "I'm an adult!" But it sounded so _Much_ like a child's whine that he started laughing. And then freezing. He heard E'naer's further comment and found he was very glad to agree. "I guess we'd better! I owe you some wine for making you come after me.. " the bluerider grinned, and hurried out of the water, telling Julerith to carry them both up to his Weyr.

"Nothing better to make your blood circulate than little cold bath in mid-winter," shivering E'naer said and followed the bluerider. Eillispeth was more than happy to join Julerith.

Into N'klar's warm Weyr the two of them and two dragons headed, although to curl up together, Eillispeth and Julerith needed to sprawl out on the ledge. "Oh, to have a dragon's hide!" the bluerider mourned, shedding what little clothes he'd had and racing for the bathing pool in his Weyr. "Come on, E'naer! We'll get warmed in the bath, then I'll find some wine for us."

E'naer sighed with relief when his body submerged into the warm water. "We are both probably going to catch a death cold," he prediced and rubbed his hands together.

N'klar moved to sit next to him in the pool. "Hmm... I could warm you up if you like, E'naer.." It'd been ages since he had a man in his bed, and he and E'naer.. had never been more than friends. The bluerider's charming grin surfaced. "Need some body warmth do you?"

E'naer gave him a lusty look. "I certainly need," he said with a husky voice. N'klar had made him totally forget he was supposed to be hideously scarred and unattractive. It had been too long from the last time. He pulled the bluerider closer to kiss him.

Surprised, slightly, by the sudden response, N'klar was nonetheless pleased by it and responded just as eagerly. For his part, he never noticed the scars of his fellow dragonriders. He thought they were all lovely, in their own way.

Fingers traced the ridged skin along the shoulder as they kissed, getting to know one another.

A soft smile and a gentle kiss that turned heated, and N'klar said softly, "Stay with me tonight?"

"You couldn't pry me off from you with a crowbar," E'naer murmured and nibbled his earlobe. Shards, he needed this. Tonight he was going to enjoy!
