I Believe In a Thing Called Love

Writers: Ames, Heather
Date Posted: 15th July 2013

Characters: B'sil, V'lor
Description: The two enjoy an afternoon "break."
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 2, day 4 of Turn 7

V'lor patted Quedaneth on the flank. The green dragon turned her
whirling eyes on her rider with love.

"Good flying today, Quedaneth. We'll flame all the Thread that gets in
our way for sure if we fly like that," V'lor grinned. He was proud of
their efforts. Quedanath was rather small for a green, but she could
zip and fly quickly through the skies, flaming the Thread before it
even had a chance.

After taking care of Quedaneth, V'lor made his way back to his own
weyr. He wanted to change out of his riding gear into something more
comfortable.

B'sil whistled softly to himself as he entered the weyr that he shared
with V'lor. He had just finished with Jaydruth's bath and had taken a
dip in the bathing pools himself. With his damp, black hair brushed
back against his collar, B'sil looked handsome as he caught sight of
his weyrmate in the middle of changing out of his riding gear.

"I got here just in time." He flashed V'lor a heated look.

V'lor turned around and grinned. "You sure did." Dropping the trousers
he was going to don, he instead walked over to his weyrmate and kissed
him.

"How has your day been?" He asked his hands enjoying the touch of
B'sil beneath his fingers. "Busy now?" He wiggled his eyebrows at that
suggestive question.

"I am never too busy for you." B'sil said through hooded eyes, his
normally playful tone turning seductive as he wrapped his arms around
the greenrider's waist. Even after Turns of being weyrmates, B'sil
found that he never tired V'lor, nor could he ever refuse him
anything.

With a happy chuckle V'lor tugged on his weyrmate and drew him to their bed.

"Did you have a good day?" B'sil asked, trailing his fingers lazily
across his weyrmate's bare skin as they lay in their bed, cozy and
warm.

"I did," V'lor replied. "Quedaneth and I flew well and fast. We've
been working out some new ways to maneuver in the skies to get from
one clump of Thread to another. We don't want any to get away from us.
How about you? Did you have a good day?" He asked his weyrmate, not
wanting their mid-day encounter to end any time soon.

"It was good," B'sil continued running his fingers along V'lor's arm,
"Jaydruth Searched another person today. He is quite confident that he
will have the most Candidates Impress at the next Hatching." The blue
certainly had a knack for it, which was what made them such a good
Search pair.

V'lor loved when B'sil was close to him. He loved his touch on him. He
snuggled even closer to his mate.

"Jaydruth always Searches out some of the best candidates. He's a
wonderful Search dragon, and it helps that he has such an amazing
rider to be with him. You are the perfect pair for each other." V'lor
smiled and reached his hand to caress B'sil's cheek. "I don't want
this to end, but I know we should get back to work." It was, after
all, still the middle of the day.

B'sil agreed, but he did have some things he needed to tend to before
the day was done, "You are right. But I'll be waiting for you in the
Dining Cavern for evening meal," he pressed a kiss to V'lor's neck,
his voice husky, "but then dessert is here."

V'lor grinned and purred. "I'll be waiting for dessert for sure!"
