"Whoo," U'kaiah breathed heavily as he leaned back into the pillow. "I
wish I had made poetry my specialization. I would write an epic about
your lips, because, Faranth's toenails, Lenala, they are talented beyond
belief." Shards he felt so good!
"Glad you liked it. You've obviously had some practise yourself," Lenala
said bit smugly and gave him a playful nudge.
"Really? I'm feeling a little rusty," he laughed, turning over onto his
side so he could look down at her. Shards, she had a beautiful body. Had
her breast always been so perfect, he wondered, tracing their contours with
a finger. Of course, he loved Tavia and Aileyan's bodies, and there were
certainly no complaints there. But Lenala's were _different_ from theirs,
which made them all the more appealing in that moment. "I'm a little out
of practice."
"Really? You fooled me. I just can't imagine you being celibate," Lenala
replied.
He threw his head back and laughed, "Oh no. No no no, not celibate."
U'kaiah practically shivered with repulsion at the thought. "Just limited
is all." He leaned down to let his lips follow trails his fingers had been
blazing.
"How so?" Lenala enquired. She felt a bit of hope. Perhaps he was having a
dry spell, like she had after M'galec. If they were both lonely... She
had forgotten how nice companion U'kaiah was and how pleasing in bed.
Perhaps they could have bit more than just some causual romp in furs.
"Well, I've kind of stumbled into a family," he said, lifting his head to
look at her with a bemused smile. U'kaiah was sure she would never believe
it about him. He hardly believed it himself! "_Two_ in fact. Though I
hope eventually it will become one." The bronzerider shook his head, sure
he was not making sense. "There's Aileyan at Dragonsfall, and Tavia at
Dolphin Cove. And I'm in love with them both. Can you imagine? _Me_?"
"Two? Now you absolutely have to give me all the juicy details," Lenala
demanded, hiding the sudden disappointment.
If he had two woman to love, he sure wasn't lonely.
"Well, Aileyan, she's the first. She has a son, Ravyan. He's so cute.
Such a little man. I mean, I know he wasn't born to me, but I've gotten
so attached to him." U'kaiah's face lit up as he talked about the little
boy. "He's so smart. And he has his mother's eyes." His expression grew
soft at the mention of his mother. "She has the most beautiful eyes. I
feel lost when I look into those eyes."
Shards, hearing him talk about her eyes that way made her jealous. "And the
other one?" she asked with morbid curiosity. She kind of knew it was going
to stung but still wanted to know.
"Tavia," U'kaiah said, losing none of the light from his eyes. "She was
unexpected. She was just a fling, but then she ended up getting pregnant.
It probably would have just stayed a fun little tryst here and there
except for that. But shards, was I lucky that day. She is amazing. She's
wise, and unconditionally loving. And our son, Kaiavin is just perfect.
He has my hair." He chuckled softly at the thought of that trait both his
sons shared.
"He must be adorable..." she was envious now. "You lucky bronzerider!" she
gave him a playful punch on the shoulder, just to cover up her real
emotions.
"Yeah," he laughed, grabbing her hand and pulling it over him, fitting his
body closer to hers. "And how about you? I thought I heard some rumor
that you were _weyrmated_ or something. How did _that_ happen?"
"Well, I tried it, it just didn't work out. You know me, not ready to
settle down with one man," Lenala replied airily.
"I know! That's why I was so surprised when I heard it!" He leaned down
to whisper in her ear. "And a little jealous. I would have hated losing
the pleasure of pleasuring you."
"Well, I've never been one man's girl -type of person, so you shouldn't
worry about that," Lenala replied, feeling flattered.
"See, that's what I like about you, Lenala. You make things simple and
fun." He had learned to like complicated and challenging as well, but
sometimes he missed living for the moment. It was a nice little break from
the routine he was beginning to settle into.
"Yes, that's me, simple fun," Lenala kept her tone light and merry. Inside,
she wondered if that was all people see of her...simple, lot's of fun but
not good for anything serious.
U'kaiah wondered what candlemark it was. "Do you think we have time for a
bit more fun before I have to get back to Dragonsfall?"
"_I_ have time. Nobody expects me to wake up early after my Hatching
feast," Lenala said.
"Not everyone at Dragonsfall is so understanding." The bronzerider
wondered if Aileyan might suspect he was with another woman tonight. He
had never promised her to limit himself in any way. Quiet the opposite.
But it had just seemed as of late he had chosen to keep to his two lovers
and not look for outside company. He didn't know why for the briefest of
moments, he felt a little guilty at the thought that she might know. But
that thought quickly was banished from his mind as he ran his fingers up
the goldrider's thigh. "We'd better make every moment count. Who knows
when the next Hatching will be?"
"I second that," Lenala was all ready.
