Description: Lenala and D'ren found out who won Vilarth's Flight.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 8, day 25 of Turn 6
Notes: Follows Blood Only Mentioned: M'galec
D'ren had won a few Flights before, so the sensation of coming back
to himself was familiar, yet there was something different about it.
He instinctively reached for Menanth and felt a wave of pride from the
sleeping bronze. Then it came back to him. A gold flight! Menanth had
caught a junior queen, and that meant there would be eggs.
It also meant D'ren was in bed with Lenala.
Lenala was coming around, returning to awareness. There was nothing so
intense than Vilarth's flights. Her eyes fluttered open and lips
curved to smile. She turned to look who it was this time.
D'ren cleared his throat. "Hello, Lenala. It was a pleasant Flight."
He remembered the intense pleasure, stronger than any green flight.
But why did it have to be her? Well, he scolded himself, it wasn't
like he knew her at all, only secondhand information. Maybe she wasn't
as bad as they said.
"Hello...D'ren was it? Yes, it was," Lenala replied. She was certainly
pleased, he was young and good looking. And he wasn't M'galec. The
thought of her ex-weyrmate made her shiver. Would she ever get past
him?
He managed a smile and tried to relax a little. "This is the first
time Menanth has caught a gold. He's asleep and I can _still_ feel how
proud he is." That made his smile widen.
"Well, congratulations are in order then. I'm happy for you two,"
Lenala said and smiled. Her fingers started to trace lazy circles on
his chest. Young and handsome, she was definently in mood for second
round.
His heart sped up. Did he want to stay? Did he dislike her enough to
leave? He didn't even know her ... "Are you glad it was us? I mean,
we're so young, and you don't know me at all." Unlike many
bronzeriders, he didn't feel the need to meet every goldrider in his
new Weyr. He wasn't that ambitious.
"Vilarth is certainly pleased with Menanth. The youth has his
benefits. Besides, this is a great way to get to know each other,"
Lenala said. It was obvious what benefits she had in mind when she
leaned to kiss him.
At first he just let her kiss him, but after a few seconds the
leftover dragonlust flared and he leaned into her. D'ren wrapped an
arm around her, pulling her closer as the kiss deepened. Judging her
by rumors was wrong, he needed to form his own opinion. Right now his
opinion was that she felt very good against him.
Lenala encouraged him with her touch and soft moans.
After a few more minutes of teasing lips and fingers, D'ren rolled on
top of her. He had no lover to return to, and it _was_ the first time
he'd won a gold Flight, so why not enjoy it?
Lenala was certainly enjoying herself.

With the leftover dragonlust sated, D'ren lay with Lenala curled in his
arms. "Would you like to get something to eat?"
"Mmm, yes and something to drink. Mating Flights make me thirsty," Lenala
replied with light, flirty tone.
"Would you like to go to the dining cavern? Or would you like a more
private meal?" Lenala didn't seem to have many friends, so D'ren decided to
give her a chance. He didn't have friends here, either.
"We could dine in private," Lenala said coyly. She was sated _now_ but
perhaps later again?
"Your weyr?" he suggested.
"Sure," Lenala agreed.
D'ren started searching around for his clothes. They were scattered all
around the flight room, and so were Lenala's. The Flight was a haze, but he
remembered enough to make him smile. The bronze and brownriders hadn't been
exaggerating when they said how good winning a goldflight was.
Lenala watched him with a little smile on her face. A predatory smile.
