"Angshel." Jessalyn called to the apprentice from where she was in the
stock room. They'd gotten in a bunch of new supplies and now they had
to be put in the proper place. Of course, having help would make
things go faster and he was the first one to come to mind. "If you're
not busy, would you come here please?"
"Of course," the boy called, putting down the book he was reading. It
had been a few sevendays since the talk with Rhosyn and the best thing
he found he could do was just throw himself even more into his
studies.
Jessalyn offered the young man a smile. "We need to put these on the
shelves. They're all labeled, but there are several boxes with various
items. Are you familiar with the organisational system?" Jessalyn had
changed things around a bit, but it'd been a little while since and it
wasn't hard to catch on to.
"Yes, I think so." Angshel picked up the first box.
"You think so?" Jessalyn chuckled softly and then motioned toward the
left. "These are the ones already mixed in order of what they are used
for. We'll start with those." She then motioned to a section of the
box. "Check the labels to be sure before you actually put them on the
shelf, but these are all the ointments and herbal mixtures." The herbs
hadn't had liquid added yet, but the amount of herbs had been put
together, ready to use.
"Okay." The boy began looking through the labels, seeing one where
one for stopping blood loss had been put in with one for sprains. He
glanced up at her and chuckled. "Someone was probably tired when they
did that."
"Hm?" Jessalyn had gone to the other side where she had been placing
vials. "Oh, yes, well, that happens. Always check a label before you
give it to someone." Of course, he wouldn't actually be administering,
but at times, apprentices were asked to fetch certain items. "Because
there are times when people don't pay attention - I'm glad you are.
It's important to do so."
He nodded and put the two packages in where they were supposed to go.
After tidying the whole lot up, he asked, "anything more?"
"There are some linens that need to be sent to be washed." Jessalyn
finished putting the last bottles of her own items on to the shelf and
did a quick check to make sure nothing was out of place. "And then
when you come back, perhaps you can help me do some rounds and check on
some patients." She turned to smile at the young apprentice.
"Okay then." He'd make it quick, taking the dirty linens to the
washing room. As soon as he could he was back to help her with seeing
to the injured dragons.
