"So, I heard you're back with us," E'naer's long legs allowed him to catch
up easily with the bronzerider. "And how conviniently, your old 'Second's
office is free," he continued.

"It's a little smaller than the last office I occupied, but..." T'mahl
shrugged and smiled. "At least it's something, right?"

"Yes, it is. Personally, I'm glad to have you here. We need all help we
can get with the current class of junior weyrlings. Let me tell you, those
kids have me running around like headless wherry," E'naer said and shook
his head ruefully. He wasn't sure what was wrong with this class. They all
seemed so over sensitive and skittish and afraid of this and that.

"I'll take that..." **Over fighting Thread any day,** T'mahl thought, but
did not finish. "That challenge. Drills were starting to get too easy,"
he said with a rather uneasy smile. He was sure E'naer knew just like
everyone else about his embarrassing failure at Fighting Thread at the
beginning of his tenure as Weyrleader.

E'naer knew about it, but to him, T'mahl had proved his skills as
weyrlingmaster before that and it was all that mattered to him. " I'm glad
to hear it. Now, we shall have a new class in two months again and we need
to graduate the current one to senior weyrlinghood safely before Onnyth's
clutch is arrives."

"You'll have to tell me about the current group. I only have seen them
from afar really." T'mahl felt he had a lot of catching up to do!

"That will take a while," E'naer snorted. "Let's see, there's G'wen,
G'waren's little boy, now there's a case of grown up in a cotton
wrapping if I ever seen a one. D'ale's boy K'ale is actually most level
headed of the group. N'den is former bully and very confused about being
greenrider..."

"Well, you'll be able to help him with that, I'm sure," the bronzerider
said with full confidence of the greenrider's ability to connect with
those boys. "I'm sure D'ale's boy is destined for great things,
considering his lineage."

"Then there are the girls, Odyne has no trouble adjusting but Cardella has
hard time with her hold-upbringing," E'naer nodded and continued. Nothing
new there.

"Oh? Is balking at the idea of getting experience?" That was always a
problem. Several girls had waited too long and had found themselves
caught unprepared when their green rose for the first time.

"Yes," E'naer nodded. "Although she's not completely without
experience."

Some experience was better than none. "Does she had a lover?"

"Yes, she was seeing J'nev before Impression," E'naer replied.

"Well, if things go well, she'll get experience with him. There are
plenty of people who only get experience with one or two people before
their time comes." If things didn't work out between those two, it would
be wise for her to fond experience elsewhere, for sure.

"Well, what happens remains to be seen. Oh, S'vin is just waiting the
weyrling ban to get lifted so he can get into mischief," E'naer grinned.

"They're _all_ waiting for that," T'mahl grinned. Though he didn't rush
right out and find a woman at twelve turns of age, he did appreciate the
return of freedom senior weyrlinghood offered.

"Yes, they do," E'naer agreed.

"One thing at a time," T'mahl sighed, placing his hands on his hips and
looking around at the shambles his new office was still in. "Let me
settle in, and I'll see if I can't give you a hand with those weyrlings,
eh?"

"Okay, I wait a moment before I fill in your desk with hidework," the
greenrider replied bit gleefully.

"Thanks," the bronzerider snorted, noting the pleasure E'naer seemed to be
taking at the thought. But truth was he was pleased at the idea himself.
**It's so good to be back!**

"Your welcome," E'naer replied.
