Birthingday Spice Cake and Swim

Description: Jaylene joins U'fouinn to wish him a happy birthingday and the pair go for a nice swim

Date: month 1, day 5 of Turn 6

Jaylene

"Happy birthday..." Jaylene sang as she snuck up on the lovely boy.
"Here you go, a nice spice cake..just for the birthday boy!" She
handed it to him and flopped down on the sand. "Ah, nothing like an
early morning sun bath..."

"Thank you," U'fouinn replied, accepting the cake she offered with a
smile. "How are you this morning Jaylene?" U'fouinn had decided that
the perfect way to start off his birthingday was to enjoy a nice
relaxing sit in on the beach.

"Brilliant, as usual!" she said as she sat up to eye him. Shards, he
was a pretty little thing. "But forget about me...how's our birthday
boy?"

"I'm doing great, though this is the first big surprise of the day,"
U'fouinn said happily taking a bite out of his spice cake. Well, it
was the first surprise he was willing to share with anyone besides his
weyrmate. Now _that_ had been quite a nice way to wake up.

"How about you? How have you been?" He asked his friend.

"I'm good! Went to Fort Hold recently for a gather...strange that."

U'fouinn looked at her curiously. "What was strange, the hold or the
gather?"

She eyed him and laughed. "Oh, just being North, to be honest.
Everything's so different there. You green boys would love it! So
much more tolerant, more brain power going on or something." She went
quiet for a moment, thinking of the company she had kept there.
Rumours around now were that J'ren had a thing for the Weyrwoman. She
doubted he'd even pay her any mind, now.

"Ah, yes, the North is definitely a different place. I've only been up
there myself a few times. I'm more content to stay down here,
actually. I like the warmth and the sea. I couldn't imagine not having
it right at my doorstep!" U'fouinn glanced out at the said sea. "Wanna
go for an early morning swim?" He asked his friend.

"Yes!" A swim sounded lovely. She stood up and stripped down to
nothing, before running into the water. Reanth splashed in just
behind her, creating a dragon sized wave to counter the natural one.

U'fouinn chuckled at her run to the water. He had not trouble with
nudity, but he was one who often cared about those around him.
Standing he checked to see if there were any who might be
uncomfortable, but found that there was only a few individuals so far
down the strip of beach that he wouldn't affect them. Removing his own
clothes, he made for the water. The feel of it against his skin was a
thrill and instantly served to cool his body down.

Reanth came up beside the two riders and let them hang on to her as
the large waves pounded down. After diving under a few times, Jaylene
held onto her ridges closely, as much for support as for warm. The
early morning water had a destinct chill to it. "Storm must be coming
this way," she shouted to the slender boy as an explaination.

He'd enjoyed the frolick in the water, but when Jaylene mentioned the
change in the weather, U'fouinn looked up to the skies.

"Oh, yes, those clouds are looking rather ominous. Maybe we should head in?"

"Hang on to Reanth, she'll surf us in!"

And indeed, the tiny green, who loved to body surf, was more than
happy to have the two hang on to her as she surfed through the large
waves, to the waiting Amizth. She nuzzled the smaller green as she
splashed out of the ocean.

U'fouinn followed her and enjoyed the surf back into land. "We best
grab our things. Maybe we can beat the rain!" He called out as he
darted out of the water back towards where he'd left his clothes.
**Come on Zith,** he called to his green who was happily nuzzled her
fellow dragon.
