Z'brei grinned as B'lamick approached the sandball court. The bluerider had decided to surprise his friend with a couple of extra players. The two sisters looked enough alike to be twins, though they were a turn apart in age. "Trouble waking up this morning?" he teased, though the bronzerider wasn't really late at all.
B'lamick noticed the two leggy girls immediately and wondered what Z'brei was up to. "I guess we aren't the only ones interested in sandball this morning huh? And it's a restday. Mid-morning is an acceptable wake up time."
"Hi B'lamick, I'm Ceara." the elder of the sisters gave the bronzerider a cheery wave. "I hope you don't mind, Z'brei said we could join you. It's always more fun in pairs."
"I don't mind." B'lamick said with a shrug and grinned, "As long as I still get to show Z'brei up."
"Hey, now that was never part of the deal!"
Fyara chuckled "If your warm-up is any indication, Z'brei, I'm afraid it's a foregone conclusion." She turned and offered the bronzerider a big smile, "I'm Fyara."
"Well met." B'lamick replied with a nod as he noticed Ceara leaning over to whisper something into Z'brei's ear and giggle. "Want to partner up?"
"Definitely. Do you have a position preference?" she asked before considering her words, sending Z'brei into gales of laughter. Red faced Fyara amended, "_I mean_, do you want to serve first or play the net?"
B'lamick shot Z'brei a dirty look but smiled back at Fyara. "I'll serve."
Ceara walked up to match her sister at the net and stuck out her tongue playfully. "Good luck sis."
"Oh, I think _you_ will be the one needing luck!" she teased back.
"Go ahead, B'lamick, let's see what you've got," Z'brei said with a grin as he prepared to return the serve. He wasn't really very good at the game, but that in no way kept him from having fun.
The bronzerider tossed the ball in the air a few times, getting used to the weight and sizing up Z'brei's position. His serve was strong and straight and B'lamick gave a whoop of glee as he watched Z'brei dive face first into the sand as he missed the ball by less than a handspan.
Z'brei jumped up dusting the sand off, his eyes sparkling with mirth at his own failed attempt. "You might just have drawn the short straw so far as partners go," he told Ceara with a wink.
"That's okay, the view is better over on this side." She said with a grin. It wasn't that B'lamick was _bad_ looking, he was just sort of plain, and she'd rather leave him to her sister and monopolize all of Z'brei's attention.
"Hey! Are you two going to chat all day or are you going to pass the ball back?" B'lamick cried as he rolled his eyes at the obvious flirting. He was there to play some ball, not to be a side effect to the blue rider's mating habits.
"You would think a man who had slept half the morning would have a bit more patience in him," Z'brei laughed as he rolled the ball back under the net.
"Show them another one, just like that, B'lamick," Fyara urged, giving her partner a wink, "That'll get their feet moving faster than their tongues."
B'lamick had no problems doing just that, and by the end of the match he and Fyara had easily bested the other two. "You have a great spike there girl." he told his partner approvingly.
"And _you_ have a killer serve," she responded offering him a big smile. "I don't know about you but I could use a cool drink."
He nodded and looked over at Z'brei, "Hey, we're going to go grab a drink, you coming?"
The bluerider turned to Ceara, "A drink sounds good, but a swim sounds even better," he said eying her long legs appreciatively. "What do you think?"
"A swim, you two go have fun." She gave her sister a playful wink and then pulled the bluerider with her towards the shore. Hopefully they'd be alone and could do a bit more than just _swim_ together.
B'lamick set the ball down by the post and turned back towards his partner. He wasn't going to turn down a drink with a pretty lady, especially one who play a mean game of sandball. "Looks like it's just us then."
"All the better," Fyara said with a big smile for B'lamick. She had enjoyed the game and found herself more than a little attracted to the athletic bronzerider.
