The night was warm and the breeze caressed, drawing those stray strands of hair that refused to stay pulled back to play across her face.
Ever since Mordin had gotten so upset about her being late, Alydelle had made sure to be early if not on time. So when Mordin finally arrived, she was the one kept waiting not him. She scrambled up from the rock where she had perched herself and beamed at him. Her heart began to race at the very sight of him and she still almost couldn't believe that someone wanted to be with _her_!

"Hello my lovely girl." he smiled widely as he approached, holding his arms out for her. He flicked the fringe from his eyes, and held her gaze. Today would be the day - he was determined he would wait no longer to satisfy himself, with or without her capitulation.

"Mordin!" Alydelle jumped up and darted into his arms, hugging him fiercely. She tilted her head back, eyes shining and smile bright and for once she was, perhaps, almost pretty. "I've been thinking about you all day."

She was eager to see him, that could only bode well for the rest of the day, he supposed. And she looked a lot more confident, maybe he needed to correct that in her? May be not. He shrugged inwardly, whilst his arms slid around her waist and he lifted her off the ground to kiss her. His mouth pressed hard against hers, before he opened her lips a little and slipped his tongue softly into her mouth.

Alydelle made a noise against his mouth in surprise, but she fell into the kiss without resistance, her eyes fluttering shut and enjoying the taste of him and the feel of his arms around her.

"Mmmm, and how has my girl been today?" he asked, finally. Dropping her back lightly onto her feet in front of him. He hadn't missed her compliance to the kiss, and his spirits rose. He slipped an arm around her shoulders, and began leading her along the waters edge, this time towards his quarters.

"I'm all right." Alydelle was breathless after that kiss. It made her dizzy and her heart pounded in her chest. She lifted one hand to her breast, as if to calm it and keep it from beating right out of her body. "Finished my work, so I don't have to worry." That meant she could concentrate on Mordin and just enjoy being with him.

"Well, I have a small surprise for you tonight." he said quietly, dropping a small kiss on her head as they walked along. "It's a little chilly tonight, so I have made alternative arrangements for us."

"Oh?" It wasn't chilly to Alydelle at all, but she figured it was just an excuse. "What sort of surprise?"

"You'll see." he laughed, the meal he had planned up in his quarters, as well as the bottle of wine, might just be all the incentive he would need to use with her - at least he hoped so.

A soft giggle escaped and Alydelle picked up her pace. Had he gotten her something? He must have and wanted to show her. But why hadn't he brought it with him? Was it too big? Surely he wouldn't have gotten her something he couldn't carry - would he? She wanted to ask, but knew better not to. He'd get annoyed and Aly didn't want to annoy him. So, she would wait and see.

They neared his quarters and he checked out the area to make sure no one was around to see them. He ushered her inside, "The surprise is in my room, come on." he encouraged her, guiding her down the hallway, his senses alert for any sign of other crafters being around.

"Your room?" She hadn't expected him to take her to his quarters.
What was it he wanted to show her? Aly followed him, wondering if she should be going to a boy's room alone. It wouldn't look right.

"It's okay, the lights will be on." he laughed, hoping she wasn't going to put up an objection at this late stage. "I promise you, it'll be worth it."

"Okay." Alydelle offered no protest as she followed 'her guy', stopping only when he stopped before a door.

"Okay, close your eyes." he said, his hand closing around the door handle. "I want you to be surprised when I open the door." He tried to effect a loving tone, but his anxiousness was getting the better of him.

Alydelle let her eyes flutter shut as her her hand tightened around his free one. What could he have gotten her? She tried to think of something that, perhaps, she had mentioned to him in passing, something she had wanted but nothing came to mind.

He led her into the candlelit room, and across to the small table he had laid with their meal. "Okay, you can open your eyes now..."

She did as she was told and breathed softly, "Oh!" Alydele looked between the table and Mordin, "It's lovely."

"Well come on... sit down." he encouraged. "I had to make sure everything was perfect - that's why it's all cold." he explained, taking a seat opposite her.

"It _is_ perfect!" Alydelle's smile could have lit up the room without any help. She moved to a chair and lowered herself into it, eyes taking the table all decked out, just for her! "Oh Mordin..."

"Hush sweetling, and eat. We have a lovely night for just the two of us. I want you to enjoy every moment."

The food looked almost too good to eat, decked out in the splendor before her. Yet Alydelle dutifully took up her fork and began to eat.
Fish was prepared in a tangy sauce that was both sweet and a little spicy. She took her time, savouring the flavour of it.

"You look beautiful tonight." he said with what he hoped was a loving look to his eyes as he gazed across the table at her. He poured the wine into the glass in front of her. "Try the wine, it's a fine accompaniment to the fish course." he said, lifting his own glass and sipping a small amount. If he could get her to take a little wine it may help her relax and become more biddable - he hoped.

Alydelle didn't usually get wine. She wasn't even sure if she was supposed to drink it, but Mordin had gone to such effort, she didn't want to disappoint him. So, she politely took a sip and smiled to him. "It's good."

"I'm pleased you like it." he took another bite of his own fish, and sipped at the wine again. Lead by example, maybe? If she could see he was indulging, hopefully she would as well.

He reached for her hand, helping her from her chair, then pulled her into his arms. His mouth descended on hers and he kissed her deeply. She seemed more pliant in his arms, the wine soaked berries a nice addition to the half bottle of wine she had indulged in during the meal. His hands became freer, sliding the length of her body, seductively caressing her.

Alydelle returned the caresses and kisses, her hands moving up and down awkwardly, as if uncertain as to where they should go. As his hands began to caress her, to explored more, she pulled back, dizzy partially with wine and partially with the embrace, "We shouldn't." Her whisper was soft, hoarse, and truly, she wanted to, but something at the back of her mind nagged and picked. Something wasn't right.

"Shouldn't we?" he asked, his voice low and husky and somewhat pleading. "I.... I love you Aly." he confessed, his tone full of an emotion he didn't feel. Is that what she wanted? A confession of love. Would it make everything so much easier? If that was the case, he would give her what every woman seemed to want, a profession of deep and abiding love - it meant nothing to him.

"Mordin..." The admission had been so unexpected. One shakey hand reached up to caress his cheek. "I love you too." She did. She did with her whole heart. Mordin had been the only man to make her feel this way, and it would be so easy to just let him, to fall into him...

"Oh Aly..." his voice became breathless, and he kissed her deeply once more. He reached down and scooped her into his arms, the kiss lingering as he crossed to his cot. Would she stop him now that he had come so close to his aim?

She should tell him to wait. She should tell him no. But Aly's wine buzzed mind and her euphoria at Mordin's words were taking over her reason and logic. She let him gather her, let him sweep her over to his cot and as he lowered her down upon his bed, she accepted his mouth, his hands, his caresses, all of him without another word of protest.

He lay down beside her, his hand at first not travelling more than to her waist. He could almost taste success, so close was he now. He needed to caution himself though, she was still aware of what was going on, and at any moment could pull away, he needed to ensure she was too far gone in her budding passion to halt him. His kisses intensified, first plundering her mouth, before nuzzling softly against her throat and against the delicate skin below her ear. His whispered lovingly into her ear, before softly and gently sucking against her lobe.

Aly wasn't sure how much more she could take. Mordin was about to drive her wild. He sent waves of desire through her and when his hand slipped under her shirt, she made a soft sound which was quelched as his mouth met hers once more. She writhed beneath him, then relaxed, finally giving in.

The wine had helped, more than he expected, she was like a wild feline kitten beneath him. He should have tried this earlier, the results were more than he had hoped for. It didn't take him long to satisfy his needs, and finally he rolled aside, sweat soaked, but satiated.

Alydelle had a vague sensation of pain, but her thoughts were too fuzzy, her mouth full of cloth and words were unable to form. Dizziness finally fell into unconsciousness as her body gave into the liquor that filled her.

He rolled from the side of the bed, and tossed her skirts back around her legs with a flick of his hand. Now he had been satisfied he no longer wished to be close to her. He stood and walked to the table, swigging directly from the bottle to quench his sudden thirst. He turned and looked back at the unconscious figure on the bed. "Aly?"
he asked, and moved back towards her. There was no response.

He felt the need rise in him again. She slept soundly, so why not take advantage of the fact?

***

He sat and watched while she slept. Her clothes were no longer in disarray across her body, instead they lay scattered across the floor around the bed, she was covered by no more than a single sheet of fabric. If he ignored the rather plain face, her body wasn't so bad -
rounded in all the right places, and very accommodating while she slept. He had more than slaked his thirst on her, her well used body would ache in the morning, he thought with a grin of amusement.
